“I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.” John 8:12.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
Never see things in a negative way. That was Joseph’s secret when he was sold by his brothers into slavery and later thrown in prison by the lies of Potiphar’s wife. How did he do that? He kept his attention on Me.
“I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.” John 8:12.
Seeing things in My light makes all the difference between torment and peace, between oppression and deliverance, between failure and success, between defeat and victory. It makes a tremendous difference in where your journey on the path of life will lead you.
How you view things, including setbacks, roadblocks, storms, and all the work of the evil one, is key. Joseph saw everything as an opportunity for promotion towards the dreams I had put in his heart. He walked the path with Me and thus his path did not lead to darkness, it led him out of darkness into My own marvelous light. When you let the light shine into the darkness, the darkness cannot overcome light. Light always wins.
But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn that shines brighter and brighter until the full day. The way of the wicked is like darkness; they do not know over what they stumble. Proverbs 4:18-19.
I was with Joseph because he was with Me. You draw close to Me and I draw close to you. You call on Me and I answer you. I call on you, but I wait for you to open and respond back. I am drawing you but I wait for you to draw near before I can come in and abide with you. And how do you do that? You must be attentive to My Words. Again, it is where you are putting your attention. Where your treasure is, that is where your heart will be.
My son, give attention to My Words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your sight; keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those who find them and health to all their body. Proverbs 4:20-22.
I am giving you the opportunity to walk in the Light of My Love.
We have the prophetic Word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts. 2 Peter 1:19.
And why can you be so sure of My Word? But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God. 2 Peter 1:20-21.
All of My Words are prophetic words for they edify, encourage, and exhort. They are your very life and they are your light, a light to your path and a lamp to your feet. If you remain in My Word and My Word remains in you, i.e., My Word is what has your attention in every situation, occurrence, and circumstance of life, then you will know the truth and it will set you free to walk in the light of perfect peace.
“If you continue in My Word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” John 8:32.
David sang, and he knew this well, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers them out of them all.” Paul was a second inspired witness on this when he told of all the trials and persecutions that came against him in preaching the good news of Salvation, “These things do not move Me, for the Lord delivers me out of them all.”
Why do the righteous have many afflictions come against them? Because Satan is out to take down the righteous, i.e., those who have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Satan lost his righteousness and can never regain it. His anger against those born again of My seed in great, for against jealousy who can stand? And My answer—I can and I am in you. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. Adam gave his dominion to Satan, but for those who are following My Son, He took it back as the Son of Man, and gave it back to you in Him. You who receive the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness reign in life through Christ Jesus your Lord.
But how do you get delivered? The same way Joseph, the Israelites, Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah, Peter, Paul, and multitudes have who are with Me now in the Kingdom or are to come—by putting their attention on Me with faith, hope and love when anything came against them. When trouble came, they called on Me for the answer, the deliverance, and the victory. And hope does not disappoint. You call and I answer and tell you great and mighty things you could not know.
Faith, hope and love equal confident expectation. A drowning person, if they get in a panic, flail and fight, is almost impossible to save, but if they will relax and float it is easy to save them. Perfect peace (shalom, shalom) have those whose minds are stayed on Me, because they trust in Me, trust in Me forever for in Me you have an everlasting rock. Isaiah 26:3-4.
And by hearing and doing My Word you build your life on the foundation of the everlasting Rock and no storm can take you down.
I give you the opportunity in the midst of a storm tossed world to live in perfect peace, double shalom in My secret place, which is being in Jesus who is in Me, on the everlasting rock of My Word.
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!” For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper and from the deadly pestilence. Psalm 91:1-2.
Your attitude will determine your altitude.
Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory. Colossians 3:1-4.
When trouble comes in this world as it is now, and it will for Satan is still loose to roam for the leasehold authority given him by Adam has not expired yet, you have two opportunities to choose from, the opportunity to walk in fear or the opportunity to walk in faith, the opportunity to go into a panic and flail about or the opportunity to calmly take control, the opportunity to give up and run, letting the devil take your life, goods, family, and treasures, or the opportunity to stand your ground and make the devil run while you keep all intact and take back all he has stolen.
I taught Moses to make two silver trumpets to call gatherings of the people, to call to depart and to come in, and to sound unto Me in the day of attack so that I would come down and fight for them.
The Lord spoke further to Moses, saying, “Make yourself two trumpets of silver, of hammered work you shall make them . . . The priestly sons of Aaron, moreover, shall blow the trumpets; and this shall be for you a perpetual statute throughout your generations. When you go to war in your land against the adversary who attacks you, then you shall sound an alarm with the trumpets, that you may be remembered before the LORD your God, and be saved from your enemies. Also in the day of your gladness and in your appointed feasts, and on the first days of your months, you shall blow the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; and they shall be as a reminder of you before your God. I am the LORD your God.” Numbers 10:1, 8-10.
You have to learn to call things in, Romans 4:17, but you also have to learn to call Me in so that I am authorized to come down and fight for you. I am your first responder but you have to call.
Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I shall rescue you, and you will honor Me. Psalm 50:15.
It honors Me when you call on Me to help you for that is faith in My presence and in My power and My goodness working for you.
The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth. Psalm 145:18.
I gave you each a unique voice and I know when you call Me.
In the day of my trouble I shall call upon You, For You will answer me. Psalm 86:7.
When you call upon Me, and I answer you; I will be with you in trouble; I will rescue you and honor you. Psalm 91:15.
Jonah ran from doing My Will. He refused to go to preach repentance in Nineveh. But by not being in My Will he was not in the place he should be and he got into a terrible storm. But when he was thrown overboard and all looked like it was over, he called to be for help. I responded immediately, sending a huge fish to swallow him up, carry him out of trouble, and then spit him out right by Nineveh. And when I gave him a second chance, he took it and Nineveh was saved by his preaching.
“I called out of my distress to the LORD, and He answered me. I cried for help from the depth of Sheol; You heard my voice. Jonah 2:2-4.
And the result? The voice of thanksgiving.
“But I will sacrifice to You with the voice of thanksgiving. That which I have vowed I will pay. Salvation is from the LORD.” Then the LORD commanded the fish, and it vomited Jonah up onto the dry land. Jonah 2:9-10.
The Israelites were four hundred years in Egypt until they remembered to call on Me. And I came down immediately to rescue them from slavery. Yes, I had seen their affliction but I could not come to rescue them until they authorized Me to do so. What you bind has been bound in Heaven and what you loose has been loosed in Heaven. Things you permit and even call in I have to permit as well.
The LORD said, “I have surely seen the affliction of My people who are in Egypt, and have given heed to their cry because of their taskmasters, for I am aware of their sufferings. So I have come down to deliver them from the power of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and spacious land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanite and the Hittite and the Amorite and the Perizzite and the Hivite and the Jebusite. Now, behold, the cry of the sons of Israel has come to Me; furthermore, I have seen the oppression with which the Egyptians are oppressing them. Exodus 3:7-9.
The Israelites had called upon Me and then I called upon one of them to work with Me to bring My power into the earth through one with dominion authority. And I had chosen Moses.
Therefore, come now, and I will send you to Pharaoh, so that you may bring My people, the sons of Israel, out of Egypt.” But Moses said to God, “Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the sons of Israel out of Egypt?” And He said, “Certainly I will be with you, and this shall be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall worship God at this mountain.” Exodus 3:10-12.
And now I have chosen every one of you, My called out ones, to do the greater works as the body of Christ on earth. I give you the opportunity to call on Me so I can rescue you and have you rescue others with Me as well.
Seek the LORD while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near. Isaiah 55:6.
I love you. Keep your mind stayed on Me and do not let your heart be troubled or afraid. I give you the opportunity to walk in the light of My love.
