I delight to do Your will, O my God; Your Law is within my heart. Psalm 40:8.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
I give you the opportunity to live a marvelous story of your life. It is called My Will for your life, but in Hebrew, the language that the Word was spoken in when it was first heard by man, the word translated as My Will is the same word translated as “favor,” it is the word “ratson (רָצוֹן),” which means favor, goodwill, acceptance, will.
I delight to do Your will [ratson], O my God; Your Law is within my heart. Psalm 40:8.
So My plan for you, My thoughts towards you, are My favor and grace on your life.
The king’s wrath is like the roaring of a lion, but his favor [ratson]is like dew on the grass. Proverbs 19:12
When you are walking in My Will for your life you are surrounded by the shield of My favor and grace and nothing can by any means harm you.
For it is You who blesses the righteous man, O LORD, You surround him with favor [ratson] as with a shield. Psalm 5:12.
It has been the Blessing on you, the empowerment to prosper and increase, since the first words I spoke when I created mankind.
God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Genesis 1:27-28.
And I renewed that blessing with Noah, Genesis 9:1-2, and later with Abraham. The blessing of Abraham and all those in covenant with Me by faith. You are blessed.
For when God made the promise to Abraham, since He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, saying, “I will surely greatly bless you and I will surely greatly multiply you.” And so, having patiently waited, he obtained the promise. Hebrews 6:13-15; Genesis 22:17.
My Will is My favor and blessing on your life. It is My unique plan tailored just for you that perfectly fits the talents and the treasures I have put in you and prepared for you so you may live a life of shalom—nothing missing, nothing broken, and no one alone.
“For I know the plans that I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans for your shalom and not for evil to give you a future and a hope.”
Shalom is a Hebrew word which is not easy to translate since it has so many facets and is far reaching—into every corner, nook, and cranny of your life, from the least to the greatest times. Shalom (שָׁלוֹם) means completeness, soundness, welfare, peace, wholeness, health, prosperity, quiet, tranquility, contentment. It is the whole pie of everything good and no piece missing. It is every arena of your life prospering. Like the Blessing of Abraham, greatly blessed and greatly multiplied. It is living in the shield of My good will. Favor. And that is what the opportunity I give to each one of you to do My plan for your life is all about. For each of you is My masterpiece, My own workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which I prepared beforehand so that you would walk in them. Ephesians 2:10.
I very clearly let Jonah know My plan for his life, the good deeds I had prepared for him, for you are wise to save souls, but he did not think he liked My plan and fled from it by getting as far from Nineveh as he could travel. But even there, I was with him to preserve him and take hold of him so that he did not die but lived to declare My Words. And when I spoke to him to go to preach to Nineveh a second time he went and had astounding success. And you are still talking about him.
Many people never do My Will, that is, My plans for their lives. And that grieves Me, just as it did when My people would not enter the land I had promised to them and wandered in the wilderness, living in tents, when they could have been in mansions surrounded with gardens, fruit trees, wells, and vineyards. And all freely given to them just for doing My Will.
Only two men out of a congregation of over two million stepped up to do My Will and go in to take the promised land, and those were Joshua and Caleb. And I said of Caleb:
But My servant Caleb, because he has had a different spirit and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land which he entered, and his descendants shall take possession of it. Numbers 14:24.
He had the spirit of faith. And the spirit of faith is that you believe in your heart and speak with your mouth. Faith comes by hearing and is released by speaking.
The only way you can do My Will is by faith. Like faithful Abraham. He followed wherever I led. He agreed with Me. He amened My promises to him. And you can do that too. You must amen all that I say, such as I am the LORD your healer and the by the stripes of Jesus you were healed. 1 Peter 2:24. Agree with that and answer any symptoms the devil and his unclean spirits try to force into our life with the truth of My Word. And that is how you resist him so that he flees from you.
How do you know My Will? It really is not difficult to know, and some people are making it way to complicated and stressing about it, which if you are worrying and not rejoicing about so great a plan that I have for you, then you are already not doing My Will for I have commanded you not to worry or let your heart be troubled, but to case all your care on Me because I care for you. So cast the care about doing My Will on Me and let Me show you step by step. For that is the way you do My Will—one step at a time. Just keep walking with Me and I can take you there. And how can two walk together unless they agree?
First of all you have My written Word to light up your path. You should read it, hear it, speak it and meditate on it day and night and your path will become brighter and brighter until full day. But you must also, once you are full of faith in My Word, act on it. You must do what it tells you to do.
Therefore, putting aside all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility receive the word implanted, which is able to save your souls. But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror; for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was. But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in what he does. James 1:21-25.
The person who hears My Word and does it is like a man who built his house on a solid rock foundation. When the storm came that house did not shake or totter for it was built upon the everlasting rock!
So start building on the solid rock of My Word, the everlasting rock, and be faithful in all the little things—such as not lying or dishonoring others, rejoicing, praying without ceasing, and giving constant thanks for the miracles you hear of every day.
And pray about it to Me and follow the guide I give you who is ever in you and on you, yes, the Holy Spirit. He guides you to all truth, teaches you , and reminds you of all I have said and how to apply it in each particular time. Learn to be led by the witness and word in your spirit that My Spirit inspires in you and on you.
Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to yourself and one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father. Ephesians 5:15-20.
The answer is in the rejoicing. The answer is in praying in the spirit. The answer is in praise. You enter My gates with thanksgiving, My courts with hymns of praise, and then you bow down to worship in the Holy of Holies.
And I will conclude with a prayer for you, a prayer shared by David, the man after My own heart.
To You, O LORD, I lift up my soul. O my God, in You I trust, do not let me be ashamed; do not let my enemies exult over me. Indeed, none of those who wait for You will be ashamed; those who deal treacherously without cause will be ashamed.
Make me know Your ways, O LORD; teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; for You I wait all the day. Remember, O LORD, Your compassion and Your lovingkindnesses, for they have been from of old. Do not remember the sins of my youth or my transgressions according to Your lovingkindness remember me, or Your goodness’ sake, O LORD.
Good and upright is the LORD; therefore He instructs sinners in the way. He leads the humble in justice, and He teaches the humble His way. All the paths of the LORD are lovingkindness and truth to those who keep His covenant and His testimonies. For Your name’s sake, O LORD, pardon my iniquity, for it is great.
Who is the man who fears the LORD? He will instruct him in the way he should choose. His soul will abide in prosperity, and his descendants will inherit the land. The secret of the LORD is for those who fear Him, and He will make them know His covenant. My eyes are continually toward the LORD, for He will pluck my feet out of the net. Psalm 25:1-15.
Ponder and pray that Psalm, there is much to learn there about doing My Will.
I love you. Ask and you shall receive, seek and you will find, knock and you shall enter. My Will is here for you.
