Nevertheless, the LORD your God was not willing to listen to Balaam, but the LORD your God turned the curse into a blessing for you because the LORD your God loves you. Deuteronomy 23:5.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלוהים) says:
I give you the opportunity to be healed when Satan attacks with his unclean spirits of sickness, pain, and disease, which are curses, for if you will submit to My Words and resist these things, which is primarily resisting Satan by answering his attacks with the truth, I have redeemed you from the curse and turned the curse into a blessing for you because I love you.
Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”— in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Galatians 3:13-14.
What does it mean that “Cursed is everyone who hands on a tree?” Do not think about hanging from a tree as with a rope around your neck, it is not referring to that. It means actually nailed to the wood.
“If a man has committed a sin worthy of death and he is put to death, and you hang him on a tree, his corpse shall not hang all night on the tree, but you shall surely bury him on the same day (for he who is hanged is accursed of God), so that you do not defile your land which the LORD your God gives you as an inheritance. Deuteronomy 21:22-23.
That is why the priests and Pharisees insisted Jesus’ body be taken down before sunset when they hung him on the tree to die displayed for all to see. He took the curse on Himself, for the wages of sin is death, and died for it and was laid in the tomb and descended into hell, but I raised Him up and you with Him totally redeemed from the curse of the law. The law was satisfied and you are blessed.
And that has much to do with being healed. When I told you that I am the LORD your healer I had just shown you how to turn the bitter (the curse) into the sweet (the blessing) in your life—by the Cross. Jesus reconciled us and made peace between you and Me through the blood of the Cross and by that blood made you holy, blameless, and beyond reproach. And My blessings are on the head of the righteous.
When they came to Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter; therefore it was named Marah [which means “bitter” in Hebrew]. So the people grumbled at Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?” Then he cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a tree; and he threw it into the waters, and the waters became sweet. There He made for them a statute and regulation, and there He tested them. And He said, “If you will give earnest heed to the voice of the LORD your God, and do what is right in His sight, and give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have put on the Egyptians; for I, the LORD, am your healer.” Exodus 15:23-26.
So, today, let us look at how you can live that sweet life that Jesus purchased for you by the blood of the Cross and can seize the opportunity to be healed every time Satan brings you sickness, which he will constantly try to do because it shuts down your ability to do your Kingdom assignment that I gave you to do and it keeps you doubting My goodness.
You must know if sickness attacks you it is not from Me.
Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. James 1:16-17.
I told Moses that My glory is My goodness manifested before you. Goodness alone is what is in Me for I am pure and absolute love and light. And even those who deny My existence have found that love is required to be healthy, infants that are not held and loved die, and that light, such as laser and radiation, heals.
Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him! Matthew 7:10-11.
When Satan attacks and is also sending fiery darts into your mind that I sent the illness or pain and that you must bear it to show you love Me, you must cast that behind your back and tread on it under your feet.
But turning around and seeing His disciples, He rebuked Peter and said, “Get behind Me, Satan; for you are not setting your mind on God’s interests, but man’s.” Mark 8:33.
If anyone fiercely assails you it will not be from Me, whoever assails you will fall because of you. Isaiah 54:15.
If you love Me and believe in My Name (I am the LORD your healer and all is summed up in Jesus, whose Name in Hebrew if “Yeshuah” which means SALVATION (in every situation)), you will do what I tell you and cast that unclean spirit of illness out and lay your hands on the sick so they can recover.
And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give. Matthew 10:7-8.
And if you do what I tell you, Satan will have no part in you, and you can walk in the perfect health and prosperity, which is My plan for your life.
I will not speak much more with you, for the ruler of the world is coming, and he has no part in Me; but so that the world may know that I love the Father, I do exactly as the Father commanded Me. Get up, let us go from here. John 14:31.
First, however, the foundation of the solid rock of My Word must be laid so that you are not shaken and collapse every time sickness, pain, brokenness, weakness gives you the opportunity to take them in and live with them. You do not want to do that. And indeed this is true in any area for which you have the promise of My benefits, blessing and not the curses.
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me bless His holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget none of His benefits; He pardons all your sins and iniquities, He heals all your diseases and pains; He redeems your life from the pit, He crowns and surrounds you with lovingkindness and compassion; He satisfies your days and years (ornaments (bejewels) your life) with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle. Psalm 103:1-5.
You already see instructions in this passage for having all My Covenant benefits in your life every day. You speak blessing and give blessing with every part of your being, then Satan has no part in you for he is of the curse and not of the blessing.
I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your seed, by loving the LORD your God, by obeying His voice, and by holding fast to Him; for this is your life and the length of your days. Deuteronomy 30:19-20.
You will notice these benefits I list in Psalm 103 cover every area of your life completely, but you will also notice they are listed in a certain order of advancement. You should walk in them all daily but every day you must remember your sins are forgiven and gone to be open to connect to all the other benefits that are yours in our everlasting Covenant of love.
And after forgiveness comes healing, and you must be healed to walk with joy in all the other benefits, or even to have faith they are for you. When you are sick and/or in pain you are not able to enjoy the good things I have put in the earth as I intend for you to do. Sickness has to be driven out and restoration received before your life can go to the heights I intend. Like Moses.
Although Moses was one hundred and twenty years old when he died, his eye was not dim, nor his vigor abated. Deuteronomy 34:7.
How was that? He was in My Word and in My glory day and night by purposeful choice. There were more that two million people being led by Moses and I invited them all to know Me and be My own special treasure, a royal priesthood and a people sanctified by My Word, set apart by covenant with Me, but they would not draw near, they would not take in My Word as Moses did. I called them stubborn and stiff necked people who tested Me though they had seen My works. They spoke curses rather than blessings over themselves.
Joshua and Caleb were the only ones besides Moses out of all those I redeemed out of Egypt that walked in My Word with love and refused any other words from the world, the flesh, and the devil. And their youth too was renewed so that Caleb declared he was stronger and better able to fight at 85 years of age than he was at 40 years of age.
So how do you know its My Will to heal YOU? Especially if you are currently being attacked by pain or illness and have been begging Me to heal you and you feel that it is just not budging. One of the main reasons is that you do not need to beg for what I have already given you and that is frustrating to Me and to you for it brings no result at all.
And the way you know that healing is for you is the same way you know My Will about everything—it is according to My Word and if you will do what I say you will have what I promise.
First, let Me ask you what Jesus asked the man by the pool of Bethsaida, “do you want to be healed?” To be healed you must want to be and to be willing to do what I tell you in My Word to obtain it. Many people do not even so much as open a Bible or even listen to it being read and are begging Me just to heal them. Healing works by certain spiritual and physical laws working together. If you are letting Satan into your life you will not walk long in your healing, for you have opened your door to him and he brings sickness.
If you are living stout against what I tell you to do and keep on with it, you have given free access to the destroyer even though you want healing. If you are living in sexual immorality and perversion or unforgiveness and bitterness or in hatred of others, which I call murder, and even murder itself, such as abortion and other crimes against the body and the person, you cannot keep healing long if at all. That is the reason Jesus told the man who had been ill and incapacitated for thirty-eight years that he had healed, “Behold, you have become well; do not sin anymore, so that nothing worse happens to you.” John 5:14.
He also told the woman caught in adultery that He did not condemn her and had set her free from the sin but in the future she should avoid that sin.
It is not because I do not want to forgive and heal you, for that is My Will for you in Christ Jesus, He paid the ransom to Me once for all, but you cannot serve two masters and expect to come out victorious. You are going to go with one of them or the other, for evil and good have nothing in common. And neither do I and the devil. He has gone his own way, do not go with him or you have chosen to go with him and you know what I have prepared for him and his angels.
If you let a rattlesnake into your house and keep him around you day and night you should not be surprised when you get bitten Drive him out and your life will be free of the poison of his venom. Remember when My people sinned against Me and even grumbled against the Manna? They, without realizing it, had opened their door to the devil, for there was sin in the camp, and they got bitten by the snakes that poured into the camp and many were dying. But they cried out to Me and I gave Moses the solution– the wood of the cross with a bronze serpent upon it representing sin and its judgment taken by My Son who became sin for you to remove it from you. And everyone who looked upon the wood of that cross on which hung their sins removed from them was healed.
Now, let us look at the foundation of healing in the bedrock of My Word. For it is in My Word you find healing, for I sent My Word to heal you and deliver you from all destruction. Psalm 107:20. And My Words are life to those who find them and health to all their flesh. Proverbs 4:22. For you do not live on bread alone but on every Word that proceeds from My mouth and healing, as Jesus called it, is the children’s bread. It is for those who are My children, that is, are in Covenant with Me as My family in the faith.
Each disease or illness, pain or problem has a particular Scripture that specifically addresses exactly what you are facing, but for all sickness and pain there is a basic Word for all. And it is Isaiah 53, which has many witnesses throughout My Word, but its primary second witness is in the first letter of Peter.
Surely our sickness and disease He Himself bore, and our pains He carried away; yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the chastening for our well-being (shalom) fell upon Him, and by His scourging we are healed. All of us like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; but the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him. Isaiah 53:4-6.
He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed. For you were continually straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls. 1 Peter 2:24-25.
And that is enough for you to chew on for today. In the next life lesson I will teach you more about healing and how you seize the opportunity to not only be healed, but walk in divine health forever. There is no sickness or pain in Heaven, so if you are seeking to have My Will done on earth as it is in Heaven you are on the right track.
