But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption, so that, just as it is written, “Let him who boasts, boast in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 1:30-31.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
I give you the opportunity to have wisdom. It is a gift that is in Jesus, in whom are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, for I give to you the mind of Christ. In Christ you are anointed. I anoint your head with oil and your cup overflows.
You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. Acts 10:38.
True wisdom is from Me. There is a worldly wisdom, which is shrewd and cunning, for it is of the devil and Adam let him in as the “god” of the worldly. But worldly wisdom is earthy and perishable. But there is true wisdom which is heavenly wisdom and it is eternal.
Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom. But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth. This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy. And the seed whose fruit is righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. James 3:13-18.
Worldly wisdom has no peace in it, only strife in trying to amass all for self. Heavenly wisdom surrounds you with peace for true wisdom generously reaches out to make things work for the benefit of all.
What is wisdom? For I tell you that it is the principal thing, that is, the first thing that leads on to the other things that are good, pleasing and perfect.
Wisdom is knowing the right thing to do at exactly the right time and having the skill and knowledge to do it.
Wisdom is not knowledge, though they go together along with understanding. Wisdom is knowing how to use knowledge in it highest and best way. Understanding is the ability to translate meaning from the facts and wisdom is knowing what to do given an understanding of the facts and circumstances.
You see this demonstrated in the life of Jacob’s son Joseph, and Pharaoh recognized it as well saying that My Spirit was in him and that he had wisdom and understanding. Joseph had the knowledge from Me to interpret dreams and understanding to translate meaning from the visions of the dream and then had wisdom to know what to do with that understanding of the visions. With Pharaoh’s dream he understood the meaning of the visions was there would be seven years of plenty and seven years of famine but then in wisdom he knew what to do.
“Let Pharaoh take action to appoint overseers in charge of the land, and let him exact a fifth of the produce of the land of Egypt in the seven years of abundance. Then let them gather all the food of these good years that are coming, and store up the grain for food in the cities under Pharaoh’s authority, and let them guard it. Let the food become as a reserve for the land for the seven years of famine which will occur in the land of Egypt, so that the land will not perish during the famine.” Genesis 41:34-36.
And what was Pharaoh’s response to this? Pharaoh recognized wisdom when he heard this. Your gifts will bring you before great men.
Then Pharaoh said to his servants, “Can we find a man like this, in whom is the divine spirit?” So Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Since God has informed you of all this, there is no one so understanding and wise as you are. You shall be over my house, and according to your command all my people shall do homage; only in the throne I will be greater than you.” Genesis 41:38-40.
And Pharaoh was not disappointed in Joseph for not only had I given him wisdom but he walked it out in integrity and honor. He was diligent to increase the yield of grain in the seven years of abundance by planned waterways, irrigation, and crop rotation with increased storage in controlled conditions so that they could no longer count the piles of grain it was so much. And it provided for all of the middle east for seven years of famine and then Joseph had the wisdom how to distribute it so it lasted and so that there was a great increase in Pharaoh’s wealth and the prosperity of the nation even in the years of famine.
And Joseph had no rancor against his brothers for selling him into slavery in Egypt because in his wisdom and understanding he saw how My wisdom had taken what his brothers intended for evil and used it to save lives that otherwise would have ended in death from starvation. He fed the world in which he lived. And wisdom directed his knowledge and understanding for the right result at the right time. His walk of wisdom was kind, it exemplifies what My Spirt many years later wrote through the inspiration of My servant James: But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy. And the seed whose fruit is righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. James 3:13-18.
A wise person is a person of peace. And that is what Solomon’s name meant and he sought wisdom to govern wisely to benefit the people and the nation with prosperity and peace.
Knowledge is information of which someone is aware through study and application. Knowledge is also used to mean the confident understanding of a subject, potentially with the ability to use it for a specific purpose. Wisdom is the ability to make correct judgments and decisions. It is an intangible quality gained through experiences in life and comes from Me.
For the LORD gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding. Proverbs 2:6.
I give wisdom as you walk with Me and knowledge and understanding come from hearing and reading and meditating upon My Word. And I tell you very clearly how to get wisdom so no believer should ever be lacking in wisdom but should always know the right thing to do at the right time for the good, pleasing and perfect result, that is, so that My Will in any given situation is accomplished. My Will is always the best, highest, and wisest result. So, My question is do you know how to acquire wisdom? It is very important that you do, not only for yourself, but like Joseph, for your entire nation.
But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord, being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. James 1:5-8.
First you must specifically ask Me for wisdom and I will give it to you generously without reproach. And you must ask with faith—i.e., confidence that what I promise I will perform. So there is your part and My part and Mine is guaranteed if you do as I have directed for the result. Now I ask you: Do you ask Me for wisdom? Most people do not ask Me for that. That is why I was so h They ask for healing, which I have given you, they ask for provision and prosperity, which I have given you, but almost no one asks Me for wisdom. But I tell you that it is the principal thing to run your lives well.
But even if you do ask Me for wisdom, then the question is do you believe without a doubt that you receive it from Me when you ask? Most do not and then they cannot receive. Doubt will keep the good things I promise you out of your life. Doubt closes up your pipeline of faith and rejects thing you would otherwise have. Doubt and unbelief kept the Israelites whom I redeemed out of Egypt out of the promised land wandering in the wilderness even though that was not My Will for their lives and was a very unwise choice on their part. You may not think of them as sinful, but doubt and unbelief are, they show a lack of trust and honor for My Word. And I am My Word, so in faith you are honoring Me as truthful.
And I have now handed wisdom to you for free and for majesty and beauty in your life so that you always will know the right thing to do at just the right time. I have put you in Jesus and I have made Him wisdom to you.

Jesus is wisdom from Me to you. So look to Him to learn wisdom. And who is He? My Word become flesh to dwell with you. And what did Jesus do? He acted just like Me. He only said My Words, did My works, and thought My thoughts. He did not permit Himself any other manner of life. Selfish ambition and strife were never allowed by Him to enter Him.
He came to seek out and save the lost. I tell you that it is wise to win souls.
Walking with Me is wisdom. Take My Words, My thoughts, and My actions and make them your own, I offer them to you. You are with Me always and all I have is yours.
And if you renew your mind with My Word and My thoughts so that you begin to think like Me and start acting like Me, you will be transformed.
Walking in wisdom is walking in Me. Seek Me with all of your heart and you will be wise.
