Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of Your name; and deliver us and forgive our sins for Your name’s sake. Psalm 79:9.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:

Most people do not understand this, so they hold back and limit Me in what I can do for them, they hold Me off at a distance and do not want to come too close. And consequently, they live lives of sadness, toil and pain, trapped by sin with no way to shake off the darkness and captivity. And they think that is what I gave them. But if you understand this, your life will be lived in the overflow of joy, IF YOU WILL GIVE YOUR LIFE TO ME, O HOW HAPPY YOU WILL BE. Your life, your days, your nights, your waking and your sleeping, and your going about will be sweet. If you will give your life to Me, how happy you will be, which is casting not just your cares on Me but everything to do with your life—spirit, soul, and body on Me because I care for you.

Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass. 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24.

If you will give Me access into your life, if you hear My Voice and open the door of your inner man of the heart, I can sanctify you entirely and keep you without sin and its effects.

I can give you a new pure heart for your sinful troubled unclean heart, I can make your life sweet, the flow of the living water from My throne into the deep well in your spirit that leaps up to eternal life.

Do you remember how I made Isaac carefree and rich in the middle of a famine that devastated the lives of the Philistines? Underground wells.

Isaac obeyed Me and cast his care and his life on Me in what looked like an unwise choice to stay in a famine land instead of running down to Egypt where there was no drought. But under the ground were wells that Abraham had dug but the Philistines had filled with dirt, but as Isaac opened them again they bubbled up and those underground wells made the seed he planted yield a hundredfold in a time of an economic downturn and a severe lack of food. Though lack was all around him, his life overflowed with abundance and joy. And each time the jealous Philistines quarreled with him over a well, he just moved on and dug another one and the water flowed. He had cast his cares on Me, not on the Philistines, and I took care of him richly.

Thus says the LORD, “Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind and makes flesh his strength, and whose heart turns away from the LORD. For he will be like a bush in the desert and will not see when prosperity comes, but will live in stony wastes in the wilderness, a land of salt  without inhabitant. Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD and whose trust is the LORD. For he will be like a tree planted by the water, that extends its roots by a stream and will not fear when the heat comes; but its leaves will be green, and it will not be anxious in a year of drought nor cease to yield fruit. Jeremiah 17:5-8.

Underground wells, underground springs, a fountainhead. That was how I made Abraham rich and carefree. And that is how I do it for you.

How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the [a]path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither; and in whatever he does, he prospers. Psalm 1:1-3.

And when I redeemed My people from slavery and brought them through the desert to the land I had promised them in My covenant with Abraham they needed water, water is one of the biggest necessities of physical and spiritual life, and if you recall I gave it to them out of rocks but also out of a well. And how did they get the well to spring up? They sang to it.

From there they continued to Beer, that is the well where the LORD said to Moses, “Assemble the people, that I may give them water.” Then Israel sang this song: “Spring up, O well! Sing to it! The well, which the leaders sank, which the nobles of the people dug, with the scepter and with their staffs.” Numbers 21:16-18.

And think of Hagar when she fled from Sarah, then Sarai, and sat weeping not knowing what to do, what did I show her? A well of water springing up into her life. And she named it the “well of the living God who sees me.” Genesis 16:7-14. And again, when Abraham and Sarah sent her away, she sat crying without water and I showed her a well of water, and that was when everything changed so she and Ishmael prospered. Genesis 21:19-20.

But there is a much deeper truth here.

A troubled, sin bound woman searching for answers, thirsty for true love which she had not found even after five husbands and now an adulterous relationship, tormented and lonely, came to draw water at a well. And there she found Jesus. She found Salvation, she found her deliverance. She found the one who would take all her care because He cared for her. And He told her the answer that lifted her from her from the shackles of her lusts and the oppression of sin and washed her clean: With joy you will draw water at the springs of Salvation (Yeshuah).

Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; for the LORD God is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation. Therefore you will joyously draw water from the springs of salvation. Isaiah 12:2-3.

If you but knew My gift you would ask Him for a drink and He would give you, pour in you, fill you with living water and you would become alive as well. Alive to Me and dead to sin.

Jesus answered and said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again; but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.” John 4:13-14.

And drinking and washing in that continuous flow will make you pure and make your life become full of joy. It is sweet water, not bitter, made sweet by the wood of the Cross, for Jesus has redeemed you from the curse.

Then Moses led Israel from the Red Sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness and found no water. When they came to Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter; therefore it was named Marah.  So the people grumbled at Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?” Then he cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a tree; and he threw it into the waters, and the waters became sweet. Exodus 15:22-25.

And Jesus identifies the living water that regenerates and cleanses you and delivers you from the trap and slavery of sin by sanctifying you through and though so that your life becomes the joy of the sweetness of being free of sin. I cast all your sins on Jesus and took care of them for you because I care for you. And you can do the same.

Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’” But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. John 7:37-39.

The Lamb is the center of My throne is your Shepherd and He will lead you to the flowing life-giving water of eternal life. And I will wipe every tear from your eyes. Revelation 7:17.

What am I telling you? If you will make the decision, and I mean a firm resolve, that you will live free from sin, that you are done with hate, bitterness, revenge, gossip, slander, complaining, grumbling, wishing others would die, and you are determined to take authority with My Word to rout out the sin in your mind and words for good, I will take you the rest of the way. If you are willing, I can do the rest. I will complete the good work I have begun in you. I will give you a new heart and a new spirit and put My Spirit in your spirit and write My law in your heart and what used to seem so hard and impossible on your own suddenly becomes a flow of living water that you are swimming in with joy beyond all you could imagine. Casting your sins on Jesus and receiving His care for you makes your life a life you will love to live. I offer you a sin-free life. You would be wise to take the offer of so great a salvation.

Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances. You will live in the land that I gave to your forefathers; so you will be My people, and I will be your God. Ezekiel 36:25-28.

And as part of your determination not to sin, if you begin offering what you do for others to Me as humble service unto Me, you will find your life a joy.

When you are in a place of trouble, I deliver you. I rescue you. I lift you inaccessibly high.

For He has delivered me from all trouble, and my eye has looked with satisfaction upon my enemies. Psalm 54:7.

And the most troubling place of all is to be trapped in the path of anger, blame, shame, guilt, and sin that you just keep indulging and never overcoming. The good news is that there is a way you can live free of all the encumbrances of sin that hold you down. And that is when you become wholly filled and flooded with Me, the secret of the sweet, satisfying companionship of My Spirit in you.

And that is the first thing you need to cast on Me before anything else: Yourself and all that concerns your inner man. And when you are sincere about that and hold nothing back of the sins you have permitted so long to remain in you, then I can give you My righteousness, peace and joy in your heart. For My Kingdom is not just about having things but in being able to enjoy them richly from a pure unencumbered heart.

Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood— and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father—to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. Revelation 1:5-6

And in all areas of your life, I have an unending variety of unique ways I deliver you, whether it is rolling back a river, parting the sea, giving you a building project such as the ark in the flood, taking down walls, sending hail stones to drive out the enemy army, having ravens fly in bread and meat on a regular daily schedule, manna falling on the dewfall every morning but the Shabbat (a double portion the day before), one angel putting to rout 185,000 of the enemy, and a whole host of angels on a hill around the city to defend Elisha from the enemy, but I will let you know the quickest way. It is the use of the catalyst. David knew it. Jehoshaphat knew it. Hezekiah knew it. Habakkuk knew it. Paul and Silas knew it and I want you to know it, but not only know about it but use it all the time. Let it become your lifestyle.

He who is holy, who is true, who has the key of David, who opens and no one will shut, and who shuts and no one opens. Revelation 3:7.

And we will talk more about that in our next Life Lesson.

I love you and I purify you.

He will sit as a smelter and purifier of silver, and He will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, so that they may present to the Lord offerings in righteousness. Malachi 3:3.
