Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble; He saved them out of their distresses. He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. Psalm 107:19-20.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלוהים) says:
To successfully come through trials, temptations, tests, adversities, and all the tactics of the devil, you must know how to cast your care on Me and how I take care of you to see you to a perfect result. This is something I do with you. We do it together.
So let us begin with a basic lesson on the “how to” of casting your care.
When you turn to Me when you are under siege, so to speak, from the world, the flesh and the devil, whether it be mental, emotional, physical, financial, or spiritual, I answer your need with a Word, that is, with a Scripture passage that answers your need. First it will comfort you and then it will free you.
Remember the word to Your servant, on which You have made me hope. This is my comfort in my affliction, that Your word has revived me. Psalm 119:49-50.
And the life is in that Word to make what you need manifest in your life in the area for which I sent it.
My son, give attention to My Words; incline your ear to My sayings. Do not let them depart from your sight; keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those who find them and health to all their body. Proverbs 4:20-22.
I send forth My Spirit and they are created and I renew the face of the earth. My Word is breathed forth by My Spirit. 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21.
And you must receive that Word I have implanted by My Spirit in your heart and cultivate and grow it by declaring it and acting upon (doing) it until you harvest the promise contained in that Word.
Therefore, putting aside all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility receive the word implanted, which is able to save your souls. But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves. James 1:21-22.
Do you see something there? Proud people resist Me and do not want to do things by My Word but by theirs.
All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble. Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. But resist him, firm in your faith. 1 Peter 5:6-9.
But human words are limited by the power from which they initiate, Jesus, when He emptied Himself and took flesh as one like you, said He did not speak on His own initiative . Why?
For I did not speak on My own initiative, but the Father Himself who sent Me has given Me a commandment as to what to say and what to speak. I know that His commandment is eternal life; therefore the things I speak, I speak just as the Father has told Me.” John 12:49-50.
Eternal life is in My Words alone. Man is perishable but My Words are not perishable. And people noticed this in Jesus, they marveled at His Words because He spoke with authority and not like the Scribes. His Words were powerful, by His Words He cast out demons, raised the dead, made blind eyes see, the deaf hear, the mute speak, cripples walk, and bread multiply. When others found Jesus’ Words difficult to understand and left Him, Peter would not leave him for he had found Jesus had the Words of eternal life. And later Peter learned how to agree with Me and He too walked in that authority, and so can you if you will receive My Words and speak My Words alone and do them as well. But you must also be filled with the Spirit, as Peter and all the early followers of Jesus were desirous to do. And I offer the same to you today.
Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself.” Acts 2:38-39.
My thoughts and My ways are higher than yours, they come from the realm of the Spirit where all things are possible, your thoughts and ways come from below not above where you are limited by the flesh, which is headed for death, but when you are born again by My Word and My Spirit you become a new creation at a whole new level of existence within your resurrected spirit, though your body is still perishable at this time, and I put My Words in your mouth by My Spirit in and on you. For He will teach you all things and remind you of all I have said and write My Words upon the tablet of your heart. Make your tongue a ready writer of what My Spirit says to you.
My heart overflows with a good theme; I address my verses to the King; my tongue is the pen of a ready writer. Psalm 45:1.
My son, keep My Words and treasure my commandments within you. Keep my commandments and live, and my teaching as the apple of your eye. Bind them on your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart. Proverbs 7:1-3.
Just as seed is the answer to a farmer to grow what he wants and to prosper, so too My Word is the seed that is the answer to your need.
For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return there without watering the earth and making it bear and sprout, and furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater; so will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; it will not return to Me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:10-11.
My Words are Spirit and life. And the way you are going to overcome what is coming against you is not by human intellect, power, or might but by My Spirit.
Then he said to me, “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel saying, ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the LORD of hosts. What are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become a plain; and he will bring forth the chief corner stone with shouts of “Grace, grace to it!”’” Zechariah 4:6-7.
Never try to face anything coming against you alone, that is, in your own strength and intellect, go up a level and let My Word take you through. My Words are Spirit and Life and in them is eternal life, living and working even now.
The rock foundation that will hold you standing through any storm is hearing and doing My Word for that season.
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and does them, is like to a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock. Matthew 7:24-25.
The Lord LORD has given Me the tongue of disciples, that I may know how to sustain the weary one with a word. He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear to listen as a disciple. Isaiah 50:4.
The first thing when trouble strikes that you must do is cast that care on Me to get your Word you need to transform you by giving you comfort, light, peace, healing, strength, joy, wisdom, purity and deliverance. It will also give you the Words with which to answer that which is attacking you. But you must do this with confidence and no fear.
“These things I have spoken to you while abiding with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you. Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.” John 14:25-27.
Here Jesus gave you a Word that is good in any attack on your spirit, soul, and body, DO NOT LET YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED, NOR LET IT BE FEARFUL. Put your trust in My Word, it has the power to save you but you must not choke it off with the thorns of worry, fear, cares, and lusts of the flesh. In the first parable Jesus told, which was about My Word being sown as a seed in your heart, three out of the four that heard the Word did not keep it to cultivate to harvest. They shrank back due to the words, fears and attractions of the flesh and proved unfruitful. The the ones that did receive and grow the Word in their hearts, did not yield the same harvests of receiving all that Word contained for them. Some received sixtyfold (good), some thirtyfold (pleasing), and some a hundredfold (perfect).
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and pleasing and perfect. Romans 12:2.
Remember the perfect man, who can control his whole body, is the one who controls his tongue. James 3:2. That is, speaks not from his own initiative but by the Word I have given you to deliver you from your destructions.
Now I want to address your thoughts because that is where the devil will always attack you with anything and everything else he brings, but he will always go after your thoughts so that you speak the wrong words and try to fight him in the mental arena (flesh) rather than in the spiritual arena (My Words that are Spirit and life). In the flesh, you will lose, in the Spirit you will win. It is that simple. You choose where you are going to go to the flesh or to the Spirit and then you write the end of the story with the ready writer of your tongue.
Sometimes you could be going along just fine and suddenly thoughts will rise up in you that torment you—thoughts of sins of the past, imperfections and impurities in your flesh, lusts, evil things done in darkness, hopelessness, doubt, hate, bitterness, and you want to be rid of these but they keep coming in trying to pull you into the flesh. It could be old addictions of which you thought you were free or family members you thought you had forgiven. These are unclean spirits and influences that you may have entertained in the past trying to take you captive again.
What do you do? Give in to them? Grieve over yourself and try to fight with them? But if you swing at them in the flesh each time you hit at them they will just keep intruding into your peace and purity.
No, you know what to do—Cast that care on Me and run for your Word, My Spirit-filled anointed Word that addresses your need right at that moment so you can rebuke and cast them out and have the solution to keep them out. Come with confidence to My throne of grace and receive mercy and find the grace, the Word, you need just when you need it. And I have it there for you.
Put down your bucket deep into your spirit and draw up the living water of salvation with joy. Jesus told a dry and tormented woman by a well to ask Him for a drink and He would give her the living water that would become a deep well in her leaping up to eternal life. And as He revealed later at the feast of tabernacles in the temple, He was speaking of the Holy Spirit, My promise to you.
“Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; for the LORD God is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation (Yeshuah).” Therefore you will joyously draw water from the springs of Yeshuah! Isaiah 12:2-3.
Not by your power and might but by the power of My Spirit to make you holy and produce His fruit, the fruit of the divine nature, in you, on your branch as you attach deeper into the Vine.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23.
The Holy Spirit will create a clean heart in you. He will purify and refine you.
Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and sustain me with a willing spirit. Psalm 51:10-12.
The Holy Spirit regenerates you with My Word and My Son sanctifies you by cleansing you by the washing of water with the Word. Titus 3:4-7, Ephesians 5:26. Washing you with the living water of My Spirit.
Now I want to take you to Psalm 20, for there are answers in it that need unfolding. It is a Psalm of David. It begins with casting your care and coming to My sanctuary with your acceptable sacrifice: JESUS.
May the LORD answer you in the day of trouble! May the name of the God of Jacob set you securely on high! May He send you help from the sanctuary and support you from Zion! May He remember all your grain offerings and find your burnt offering acceptable! Psalm 20:1-3.
And I see the desire in your heart to have pure thought of peace and a heart cleansed and full of My light. I will fulfill your days and direct you in the way you should go by My Spirit over level ground: May He grant you your heart’s desire and fulfill all your purpose! Psalm 20:4.
And all the great cloud of witnesses of the family in Heaven is cheering you on singing songs of deliverance over you with Me.
We will sing for joy over your victory, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners. May the LORD fulfill all your petitions. Psalm 20:5.
And what must you know? I save you wo are anointed by My Spirit and power in Jesus.
Now I know that the LORD saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand. Psalm 20:6.
Save this for a moment, I will be addressing shortly. And where is your confidence and your boast? In human strength? It is not there.
Some boast in chariots and some in horses, but we boast in the name of the LORD, our God. They have bowed down and fallen, but we have risen and stood upright. Save, O LORD, may the King answer us in the day we call. Psalm 20:1-9.
Boasting in and relying on the flesh will never get you the victory over the flesh. But all who call upon My Name will be saved.
And now let us go to the Spirit breathed Words of My prophet Joel.
So rejoice, O sons of Zion, and be glad in the LORD your God; for He has given you the early rain for your vindication. And He has poured down for you the rain, the early and latter rain as before. The threshing floors will be full of grain, and the vats will overflow with the new wine and oil. Then I will make up to you for the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the creeping locust, the stripping locust and the gnawing locust, My great army which I sent among you. You will have plenty to eat and be satisfied and praise the name of the LORD your God, who has dealt wondrously with you; then My people will never be put to shame. Joel 2:23-26.
And how do I deal wondrously with you? Read on.
It will come about after this that I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind; and your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on the male and female servants I will pour out My Spirit in those days. Joel 2:28-29.
The early and the later rain, great outpourings of My Spirit, the Spirit of judgment and burning that will clean all the filth of those who are of Zion, My heavenly city of grace. Isaiah 4:4. And I will make up the years that the devil stole from you in the weakness of your flesh and the ignorance of My Word. And you will praise My Name for I have dealt wondrously with you. You will never be put to shame.
But how will this all come about? I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind—men, women, boys, girls, from the least to the greatest, the youngest to the oldest, all who will receive. And how do you get filled? Listen to My spirit-filled servant Paul who talked in tongues more than any of you.
And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to yourself and one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father. Ephesians 5:18-20.
Here again, the more you rejoice in the Spirit, the more filled you will become, and when you are filled there is no room for impurity, torment, or any evil thing. Every addition must go that would hold you down in the flesh when you are full of the Spirit.
Remember from Psalm 20? I will send help from the sanctuary and fulfill all you heart’s desire and fulfill your purpose. Psalm 20:2-4. How? He will answer him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand. Psalm 20:6.
With the saving strength of My right hand. Does that speak to you of something? Yes, the day that Peter announced to the astonished crowd on that Sunday of the early rain when Pentecost was fulfilled that the prophecy of Joel had also been fulfilled and the Spirit had been poured out on all mankind. And how did he verify this?
This Jesus God raised up again, to which we are all witnesses. Therefore having been exalted to THE RIGHT HAND of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He has poured forth this which you both see and hear. Acts 2:32-33.
And that is where the strength is, not in human flesh and new age thinking but in the saving strength of My right hand, the outpouring of My Spirit.
Just cast your cares and get your Spirit filled, anointed, appointed Word that is there to do a work in you, on you, through you, with you, and around you. Grab that Word and eat it until it is part of you. It has the power to save your soul. Rejoice in My Word for it has the power to save you. Return it to Me from your mouth and watch it go to work for it will not return to Me void but will achieve the purpose for which I sent it. Are you ready to receive it and return it? That is seedtime and harvest. You may sow in tears but you will reap with JOY.
I love you. Make sure the minute trouble, torment, or adversity comes you cast your care on Me and run to Me for the answer—the Word that will make you strong and give you the solution. And it will be just the right Word for you. And it will light up your soul.
For You light my lamp; the LORD my God illumines my darkness. For by You I can run upon a troop; and by my God I can leap over a wall. Psalm 18:28-29.
