You make him to rule over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet. Psalm 8:6.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלוהים) says
The path of life is a path of dominion authority. I have put all things under your feet.
When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained; what is man that You take thought of him, and the son of man that You care for him? Yet You have made him a little lower than God, and You crown him with glory and majesty! You make him to rule over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet. Psalm 8:3-6.
It all began that way. Under your feet.
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” Genesis 1:26.
It was meant to be that way. I reaffirmed it with Noah, and that was after Adam abdicated his authority to the devil. But the devil took it by deceit and misrepresentation and those contracts can be rescinded if pursued legally. Otherwise, you can just keep operating under it as if valid. What you permit, I must permit.
And God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth. The fear of you and the terror of you will be on every beast of the earth and on every bird of the sky; with everything that creeps on the ground, and all the fish of the sea, into your hand they are given. Genesis 9:1-2.
And it can be that way. But many people, like Adam, have given all that away to a creature they should have under their feet.
The Lord’s bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged, with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will. 2 Timothy 2:24-26.
And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 2 Corinthians 4:3-4.
Now, what do I tell you that I put under your feet, that means under your authority, so that you are above and not beneath certain attacks and other challenges in this world? For there is not a valid alignment of dominion authority over the earth today in those who should be showing themselves strong in Me and the power of My might. And I am speaking of the Body of Christ on earth, the Church.
First let us return to the beginning and go forward. Before the devil had stepped out of the perfection in which I created him to unrighteousness, violence and sin, and pulled the man and woman into it by deceit and misrepresentation, in other words, by straight out and out lies, I gave man dominion over the earth that I made to be his home and kingdom, the highest Heaven is Mine but the earth I entrusted to men.
May the LORD give you increase, you and your children. May you be blessed of the LORD, maker of heaven and earth. The heavens are the heavens of the LORD, but the earth He has given to the sons of men. Psalm 115:15-16.
Be mindful this is a leasehold interest as I and My Son describe in the stories of the vineyard but nonetheless a valid grant of authority to you. And one day it will be renewed with new heavens and a new earth where you rule and reign with Me forever, that is, you who have chosen to walk with Me in your dominion authority in Me.
And there will no longer be any night; and they will not have need of the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God will illumine them; and they will reign forever and ever. Revelation 22:5.
Daniel saw this aforetime in the revelations I gave him of the endtimes and the return of the Messiah to take back the earth from the devil and his followers.
But the court will sit for judgment, and his dominion will be taken away, annihilated and destroyed forever. Then the sovereignty, the dominion and the greatness of all the kingdoms under the whole heaven will be given to the people of the saints of the Highest One; His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all the dominions will serve and obey Him.’ Daniel 7:26-27.
Before evil had entered, I told man:
God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that creeps on the earth.” Then God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you. Genesis 1:27-29.
I gave you all the works of My hands upon the earth other than man himself. No man was to have dominion over the life blood of another. I demanded a life for a life if any man shed another man’s blood.
And God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth. The fear of you and the terror of you will be on every beast of the earth and on every bird of the sky; with everything that creeps on the ground, and all the fish of the sea, into your hand they are given. Every moving thing that is alive shall be food for you; I give all to you, as I gave the green plant. Only you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood. Surely I will require your lifeblood; from every beast I will require it. And from every man, from every man’s brother I will require the life of man. Whoever sheds man’s blood, by man his blood shall be shed, for in the image of God He made man. As for you, be fruitful and multiply; populate the earth abundantly and multiply in it.” Genesis 9:1-7.
And David summed it up as we continue Psalm 8:
You make him to rule over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet, all sheep and oxen, and also the beasts of the field, the birds of the heavens and the fish of the sea, whatever passes through the paths of the seas. Psalm 8:6-8.
But there are more dominion passages in that same Psalm: From the mouth of infants and nursing babes You have established strength [praise] because of Your adversaries, to make the enemy and the revengeful cease. Psalm 8:2.
Now let us go to Psalm 91 and find out more about what is under your feet:
You will not be afraid of the terror by night, or of the arrow that flies by day; of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, or of the destruction that lays waste at noon. A thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not approach you. You will only look on with your eyes and see the recompense of the wicked. For you have made the LORD, my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place. No evil will befall you, nor will any plague come near your tent. For He will give His angels charge concerning you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, that you do not strike your foot against a stone. You will tread upon the lion and cobra, the young lion and the serpent you will trample down. Psalm 91:5-13.
Who is that lion and cobra, that young lion and serpent you will trample down under your feet? I think you know. For even when he first approached man to take him captive to do his will he came as a snake and slithered away as such as well, crawling, creeping, along in the dirt on his belly. But you were to have dominion over crawling, creeping, swarming things.
And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. Revelation 12:9.
That is very clear. And what did Jesus tell you about your authority over this ancient serpent?
The seventy-two returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.” And He said to them, “I was watching Satan fall from heaven like lightning. Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you. Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven.” Luke 10:17-20.
And how about the lion?
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world. After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you. To Him be dominion forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 5:6-11.
You have dominion over the animals, the plants, the seed, the things hidden deep in the earth, such as silver, gold, and oil, the riches in the sea, the weather (remember Jesus and the storm and winds?), and the devil and his demons. All these things should go under your feet, in other words, you are above and not beneath them. And I mean far above. Do you know what I am talking about? If you do not, you are living way beneath where I have seated you.
“Awake, sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” Ephesians 5:14.
Do you even know where I seated Christ when I raised Him from the dead and He ascended back to My right hand in Heaven? And do you even know where I seated you who believe in Him? If you do not know these things the devil and his unclean spirits will take advantage of you. Remember he is prowling about like a roaring lion looking for someone whom he may devour. That means he cannot devour those who are wise to his tactics, but above that wise to who they are, that your names are written in Heaven in the Lamb’s Book of Life, that you are righteous and that you shall never perish.
Why do I say he is like a “roaring lion?” Study when a lion roars. Lions will use their roar to ward off potential intruders, and/or to protect their territory and their pride. The lion is roaring because it fears you taking its territory and wants you to retreat. Older lions who have lost their teeth and ability to hunt use their still-powerful roars to distract prey from younger, hunting lions who are prowling nearby, and to scare the prey to go closer to the actual predatory members. The righteous shall live by faith but if he draws back I take no pleasure in him. The roar is so you will draw back from taking souls from him, taking governments and countries from him, so you will stop resisting his attacks with sickness, depression, and pain. He wants to put you in fear of death.
Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and might free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives. Hebrews 2:14-15.
When I raise Christ from the dead I brought him up from the pit of hell and He rendered the devil powerless over you who believe. For Jesus took your just punishment. He died once for all and death no longer has any power over you for He has given you eternal life and freed you from condemnation to hell. He went so you will never have to go to that place of torment. The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has freed you from the law of sin and death. And when I raised Him where did I seat Him and you with Him?
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And He put all things in subjection under His feet and gave Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. Ephesians 1:18-23.
I raised Him from the dead and seated Him above and I put ALL things in subjection under His feet and gave Him as head over ALL THINGS to the church, which is His body. And you who believe in your heart that I raised Him from the dead and have confessed Him as Lord with your mouth, I have raised you up with Him in your resurrected spirit and seated you there with Him far above all things with all things in subjection under your feet! You can do all things in Him who strengthens you in your inner man. Why are you acting like you have no power over those things that are tormenting you? Tell them to get back where they belong, that is, UNDER YOUR FEET.
But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2:4-7.
I tell you that to make the devil flee from you that you must submit to Me (make My Word your truth alone and to make My Word your answer to the devil’s lies), resist the devil, and he MUST flee from you. James 4:7-8. How do you resist him? You put him under your feet along with every unclean spirit, unclean influence, and demon he brings. You answer his attack with My Word that counters it and tell him to get under your feet. Jesus answered Peter when he spoke from the devil’s promptings by first speaking My Word on the subject and then saying, “Get behind Me, Satan.” Now that I have raised Christ from the dead and you with Him, tell the devil to get under your feet. And then I tell you to trample and tread on him. What does that mean? That you just keep going on the path of life I have set out for you and do not let him get in your way or trip you up. You just walk right over him by countering his lies and fiery darts with the truth of My Word.
Jesus won you full authority in Heaven and on earth. As Son of Man it has been given to Him and He gives it to you, His body on earth so that you can do the wonderful works He did and greater. Go therefore and proclaim the good news, cast out demons and heal the sick. What I have freely given you in Jesus, freely give to others. Demons are subject to you in My Name. And I given you full authority to use and ask in My Name.
Do not retreat no matter how much he roars or turns up the heat. Take your stand and don’t budge one inch off My Word of promise for you. Take territory for the Kingdom. There is no turning back, you cannot put your hand to the plow and keep looking back.
Demons did not scare Jesus, even the one that made the boy roll on the ground and foam at the mouth, even the hundreds in the Gerasene demoniac, He simply cast them out. He never allowed them to stay. And you should not either. When that unclean spirit of fear, the unclean spirit of hate, the unclean spirit of depression, or any other unclean spirit starts to gain entrance and rise up in you to torment your body and mind, be very severe with them and have zero tolerance. Tell them to get down under your feet and walk on right over them.
A highway will be there, a roadway, and it will be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean will not travel on it, but it will be for him who walks that way, and fools will not wander on it. No lion will be there, nor will any vicious beast go up on it; these will not be found there. But the redeemed will walk there, and the ransomed of the LORD will return and come with joyful shouting to Zion, with everlasting joy upon their heads. They will find gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing will flee away. Isaiah 35:8-10.
And there is your answer. I have given you a HIGHway, the Highway of holiness. And nothing unclean can travel on it, no fools wander on it, and no lion or vicious beast go up on it. They will not even be found there. Be holy as I am holy and the evil one cannot touch you. He cannot penetrate or stay in the holy. You are in My hand, and My hand is holy. Raise holy hands free of dissension and strife in intercessory prayer and he will be under your feet and stay there.
When sickness comes, rebuke it and tell it to get under your feet, for I AM the LORD your healer and Jesus took all your sickness and bore all your pains. They are not yours. Put them under your feet and walk on right over them.
I love you and remember I crowned you with glory and honor and have put all things under your feet. Keep them there and rejoice.
