Behold, God is my helper; the Lord (Adonai) is the sustainer of my soul. Psalm 54:4.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלוהים) says:
You have a helper. Do not be afraid, it is I!
The one in chains will soon be set free, and will not die in the dungeon, nor will his bread be lacking. For I am the LORD your God, who stirs up the sea and its waves roar (the LORD of hosts is His name). Isaiah 51:14-15.
Do you know that I am your Helper? Where do you look when you need help?
I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; from where shall my help come? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to slip; He who keeps you will not slumber. Psalm 121:1-3.
I am present as your helper, what can man do against you? If I am for you, who can be against you? And the correct answer is “nothing and no one.” You are never without help; I never leave you alone. I am right there with you. Always. Forever.
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1.
How do I help you? In many ways, as LORD of Hosts I provide you with legions of angels to protect you and fight for you. As the LORD your healer, I heal your body and soul and keep you in good health, I watch over all your bones, every hair on your head, and every part of you. As the LORD who sees ahead and provides, I take care of your finances, any problem you encounter, destructions, and pits. As the LORD your deliverer, I deliver you from all the forces of the evil one so that nothing will by any means harm you and no weapon formed against you will prosper. As the LORD your refuge, I shelter you and protect you till harm passes by.
I am the LORD your strength.
“I love You, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies.” Psalm 18:1-3.
How often do you call out to Me, “I love you LORD my strength”? David did it often and he was never injured in a battle or in all the thirteen years that Saul chased him with the army of Israel to kill him. And David never lost a battle. When you fight with Me all you can see is victory.
Blessed be the LORD, my rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle; my lovingkindness and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield and He in whom I take refuge. Psalm 144:1-2.
Most people do not think of Me as their helper, as their strength, and as their rock. They act like they are on their own trying to help Me. David was the first one to call Me all three and the first one to tell Me he loved Me. And I helped him wherever he went.
Then David put garrisons among the Arameans of Damascus, and the Arameans became servants to David, bringing tribute. And the LORD helped David wherever he went. 2 Samuel 8:6, 14.
And I so loved the world I sent My Son to come to serve you as you Helper, and He so loved you that He sent you another Helper just like Him, the Holy Spirit, to be in you and with you always. You are never without help, you are never without power, you are never without strength, you are never without light, and you are never without guidance.
Then he said to me, “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel saying, ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the LORD of hosts. Zechariah 4:6.
But what is the primary way in which you always have help? My Word in your mouth.
I have put My words in your mouth and have covered you with the shadow of My hand, to plant the heavens, to establish the earth, and to say to Zion, ‘You are My people.’” Isaiah 51:16.
“As for Me, this is My covenant with them,” says the LORD: “My Spirit which is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your offspring, nor from the mouth of your offspring’s offspring,” says the LORD, “from now and forever.” Isaiah 59:21.
Have you ever noticed how when you are deeply distressed, I will give you a Word of Scripture that revives you? It is your anchor behind the veil. It is your future and your hope. It is your comfort and your strength. It makes you bold to go forward.
This is my comfort in my affliction, that Your Word has revived me. Psalm 119:50.
My Words are your songs in the house of your pilgrimage. You only enter Zion singing and shouting for joy.
And the ransomed of the LORD will return and come with joyful shouting to Zion, with everlasting joy upon their heads. They will find gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing will flee away. Isaiah 35:10.
Every fact is established by two or three witnesses. When you are in need of an answer, ask Me for two or three Scriptures that give you the solution to your problem. I like to be specific and I prefer you pray in the same way. I have led you out of darkness into My own marvelous light. 1 Peter 2:9-10. I have rescued you from the power of darkness and translated you into the Kingdom of My Beloved Son and in Him are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
I am always ready with your answer because I know what you need before you ask Me. So ask and you shall receive for I have already prepared it since the foundation of the world. Nothing is a surprise to Me and nothing catches Me off guard because I know the end from the beginning. And I love to share that with you.
I am the best helper because I already have the help all prepared for you in advance. Come to Me with confidence to receive mercy and find grace to help right when you need it. It grieves Me when people harden their hearts to Me and will not receive all the good I have stored up for them.
And the help I give makes you strong, like Gideon. I did not just let him sit back and stay a cowardly weakling. I got him out on the frontlines fighting with Me at his side giving him the victory. And he had a wonderful time. Moses too. You will find that with Me as your helper you become more than a conqueror giving help to others. I have stooped to make you great.
As for God, His way is blameless; the word of the LORD is tried; He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him. For who is God, but the LORD? And who is a rock, except our God, the God who girds me with strength and makes my way blameless? He makes my feet like hinds’ feet, and sets me upon my high places. He trains my hands for battle, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You have also given me the shield of Your salvation, and Your right hand upholds me; and You have stooped down to make me great. Psalm 18:30-35.
I stoop down to you to lift you up to Me.
He raises the poor from the dust, He lifts the needy from the ash heap to make them sit with nobles and inherit a seat of honor. 1 Samuel 2:8.
What does it mean that I am always there to be your helper? Many beautiful things. It means you have no reason to worry or fear thinking I will not come through with what you need. When you ask, I answer. When you hand your cares over to Me, I am working on them. Cast your cares by speaking to Me about them and letting Me take care of you. And the only way you know you have really cast them over to Me is if you no longer thinking about them constantly in a worried fashion and start begging Me to do something about whatever is bothering you when you already said you handed it over to Me for My attention to work it out for you. Rather smile and shout with joy that I am working on your problem for the good, pleasing, and perfect result.
Now, once you have cast the care of your problem over on Me, then you must not fear but notice the trail and start following the markers I give you. Have you ever heard of a Breadcrumb trail? It leads you home. It is a trail of breadcrumbs leading you home. Jesus is the bread of life and He is the way to Me, that is, the Word is seed to the sower and bread to the eater.
On the internet, a breadcrumb trail is a series of links that navigate you through related articles to the information you want to locate—links or makers that lead you to a location.
I love you. My Word is a breadcrumb trail leading you to Me. Each day follow those Words My Spirit gives you to teach you, lead you, revive you and bless you and eat them up. Each Word leads you closer and closer to the promised location—My House.
O send out Your light and Your truth, let them lead me; let them bring me to Your holy mountain and to Your dwelling places. Psalm 43:3.
Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. Psalm 23:5.
