Remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. Ephesians 2:12.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
If you want to understand My love for you and how to abide in that love you must understand Covenant. Since Adam and Eve severed their relationship with Me there is only one way that you join your life back with Me again. And that is by the way of making Covenant with Me. To understand why Jesus is the only way to Me and to know what you must do to have eternal life, you must understand covenant, and not only what covenant is but also the covenants I have made with man, and why they are essential for you.
Love without limits is My Covenant with you, enduring forever, holy, faithful and true, love without limits is My Covenant with you.
Covenant is very important to Me and it has been from the beginning. I taught it to Adam and Eve in the covenant of marriage. It is a beautiful and sacred way of living where two become as one in a bond between them that enhances the life of each by a relationship of oneness in purpose, plans, and destiny. Covenant means commitment.
There are a number of reasons people make covenant with one another but primarily it is because a relationship is desired for fellowship, partnership in an enterprise, family, protection, provision, or power, but the highest purpose is for a union of perfect love where for each one all they have also belongs to the other one.
The parties to a covenant have certain rights and duties towards one another as well as authority over one another that they do not have with those who are not in covenant with them. In Covenant, the duty of the greater member is to bring up the lesser member to the level and benefits of the greater. The name of the stronger and greater member is bestowed on the one who does not have the resources and strength of the greater. It is the duty of both to see to the welfare, protection, deliverance, and safety of the other. It is the duty of each one to be faithful to the other, even to death.
Covenant is the way you again give Me authority in your life to perform for you all I have promised. Covenant gives Me authority to bless you, heal you, protect you, empower you, and give you everything I have. It is the only way I can give you eternal life.
Why? You inherit from the family to which you belong, not from one you are not a member of. To be My heirs and inherit the Kingdom you must be a member of My family. If you are not of My family I cannot give you the children’s inheritance, that is, “the children’s bread,” as Jesus called it to Syrophoenician woman, who was a the stranger to the Covenant, but by her great faith she entered the Abrahamic covenant and received the miracle she requested.
The covenant I made with Abraham was righteousness by faith in My Word. It was a covenant of My spoken Word and it created a household of faith.
The covenant I made with Moses and all the people I redeemed out of the slavery of Egypt (the descendants of Abraham) was a covenant of My written Word and it created a nation of faith governed by laws and statutes from Me as their Redeemer, King, Lawgiver, and Judge.
“See, I have taught you statutes and judgments just as the LORD my God commanded me, that you should do thus in the land where you are entering to possess it. So keep and do them, for that is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples who will hear all these statutes and say, ‘Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.’ For what great nation is there that has a god so near to it as is the Lord our God whenever we call on Him? Or what great nation is there that has statutes and judgments as righteous as this whole law which I am setting before you today? Deuteronomy 4:5-8.
But the people continually broke My Covenant by going to worship idols and by disobeying My commandments. I likened it to adultery on their part.
The New Covenant was made by Me with Jesus and by Jesus with you so that in Jesus you join in His Covenant with Me as one in us, and the New Covenant is of the manifested Word which created the church, the body of Christ and the bride of Christ, and brought all those who confess Him as Lord, Jew and Gentile, into one new man. A new creation in Christ.
For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!” The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ. Romans 8:15-16.
You take the inheritance of the family you belong to. Adam belonged to Me as My son, Luke 3:38, but when he made covenant with the devil, he was adopted into the devil’s family, born again by the perishable seed of lying words as a citizen of the realm of darkness, and I had no more jurisdiction over him and he had no heirship rights in Me.
And being descended from Adam’s seed down the generations you are all born as children of the devil.
Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and have come from God, for I have not even come on My own initiative, but He sent Me. Why do you not understand what I am saying? It is because you cannot hear My word. You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies. But because I speak the truth, you do not believe Me. John 8:42-45.
But the good news is you do not have to stay that way. Repent, that is, change your mind to My thoughts and Words, and believe in the Good News of the Kingdom, of salvation, of Jesus, of Covenant and I can rescue you from the realm of darkness and transfer you to the kingdom of My beloved Son, in whom you have redemption, the forgiveness of sins by His blood. Colossians 1:13-14.
When you receive Jesus as Lord, you are born again of the imperishable seed of My Word and make Covenant with Jesus, who in turn has made Covenant with Me, which you enter in Him, you are sealed in Covenant by the Holy Spirit as My child and heir, a joint heir with Christ who is heir of all.
Being born again back to Me and entering Covenant with Me is the only way that you now can become partakers of My divine nature. It is the only way I can legally be intimately involved in your life and give you the children’s bread.
There are certain elements in My Covenants that you see since the time of Noah. Covenant in Hebrew is the word “berith (בְּרִית),” which is from the root word “to cut.” Blood covenants require a “cutting,” that is a mixing of blood. Covenant requires two or more joining together with mutual promises expressed in the permanence of an oath to be faithful and loyal to the relationship, blessings when kept and curses when broken, the shedding and sharing of blood, the reception of a new name, the exchange of gifts, a covenant meal with bread and wine, and a memorial or witness to remind the parties of the Covenant so it will be always before them.
You see all these elements in the life and death of Jesus and in the Covenant meal in which you partake with Him to seal it. Yes, communion. Be mindful every time you eat the bread of His body and drink the cup of His blood you are renewing and confirming your Covenant with Him and through Him and in Him with Me. It is a Covenant with Me that you can never break for I made it with Jesus as your great High Priest and your representative as Son of Man and Son of God and He is faithful and true never to break Covenant with Me or you. He is My great “Amen” to you confirming all My Covenant Names and promises are “yes” to you in Him.
Covenant is My idea and My way of caring for you as My own special treasure. It is the way you cast your care on Me because I care for you. My love and care for you has no limits. Nothing is too hard for Me, and nothing is too wonderful for Me. There is nothing in your life that I cannot fix.
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine! When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you. For I am the LORD your God.” Isaiah 43:1-3.
Too late is not in My vocabulary and it should not be in yours while you are still in this life. There does come a time though that it is too late if you have locked yourself into your destiny by refusing to come to Me.
Seek the LORD while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the LORD and He will have compassion on him, and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon. Isaiah 55:6-7.
By making Covenant with Jesus, and through His Covenant with Me as your representative, you can truly live your life fear from anxiety and fear. I have obligations to heal you, provide for you, protect you, deliver you, and bless you. I have the obligation to fight for you if you are attacked when you call upon Me. And one way I do this is by giving you a guardian angel and access to the Heavenly host for your protection and deliverance.
Covenant is expressed by Jesus as your good Shepherd and you being His own flock that He cares for and lays down His life for. You are in His hand, and in His hand you are in Mine, and there is no snatching out of My hand. Covenant gives you a place with Me forever.
In the marriage covenant, which is of the flesh, death breaks that bond and the survivor is free to marry another. But with Me it is a covenant of My Spirit with your spirit joining as one and death cannot break that bond. The Holy Spirit is in you and with you forever.
But the one who joins himself to the Lord is one spirit with Him. 1 Corinthians 6:17.
Covenant is drawing close to Me so I can draw close to you. In Covenant everything I have is yours and everything you have is Mine. We become one.
Everyone in Heaven is only there because they entered Covenant with Me. And no matter when they lived and died there is only one reason they can be in Covenant with Me—the Blood of the Lamb and the Word of the Testimony. Jesus died in time but He brought an eternal redemption that goes back to the foundation of the world and on to future generations until time ends and the eternal day dawns. And even then His blood will still forever be making intercession for you on the heavenly Mercy Seat as a witness to your salvation to the uttermost.
I love you and that is what the blood of the New and Everlasting Covenant is all about. Love.
For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same way He took the cup also after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes. 1 Corinthians 11:23-26.
