“For You light my lamp; the LORD my God illumines my darkness.” Psalm 18:28.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
Your spirit is My lamp. The only way I can light your lamp is by My Spirit joining with your spirit and pouring in the anointing and once the oil is there and the wick is trimmed you still must light it and fan it into flame. What is the fire which ignites the wick?
“Put me as a seal upon your heart, like a seal on your arm. For love is as strong as death, and its ardor is as inflexible as Sheol; its flashes are flashes of fire, the very flame of the LORD. Many waters cannot quench love, nor will rivers overflow it; if a man were to give all the riches of his house for love, it would be utterly despised.” Song of Songs 8:6-7.
It is love. Divine love. My love. The flame in the eyes of My glorified Son. Revelation 1:14.
When you believe in the good news of your salvation, I seal you in Christ with the Holy Spirit as your pledge of redemption of not only your spirit and soul but also your body.
In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of possession, to the praise of His glory. Ephesians 1:13-14.
I pour My love into your heart by the gift of the Holy Spirit. Romans 5:5. I pour down fire from Heaven. Let the fire fall as it did at Pentecost, tongues of fire for each believer, purifying your lips more than the coal with which the angel touched Isaiah’s lips. Let the fire fall as I sent upon the sacrifice of Elijah to bring back a nation to Me. Let the fire fall as it did in the outer court of the Tabernacle of Moses to consume the burnt offering and usher in My glory.
Then Aaron lifted up his hands toward the people and blessed them, and he stepped down after making the sin offering and the burnt offering and the peace offerings. Moses and Aaron went into the tent of meeting. When they came out and blessed the people, the glory of the LORD appeared to all the people. Then fire came out from before the LORD and consumed the burnt offering and the portions of fat on the altar; and when all the people saw it, they shouted and fell on their faces. Leviticus 9:22-24.
Jesus baptizes you in the Holy Spirit and fire.
John answered and said to them all, “As for me, I baptize you with water; but One is coming who is mightier than I, and I am not fit to untie the thong of His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. Luke 3:16.
Life in you. “Because I live, you will live also.” John 14:19. How? Not by human power or might, but by My Spirit! Jesus pours the Holy Spirit, the same Spirit that lives in Him and raised Him from the dead, down into you, giving life to your mortal body.
This Jesus God raised up again, to which we are all witnesses. Therefore having been exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He has poured forth this which you both see and hear. Acts 2:32-33.
Jesus wanted to release that fire but until He died and rose for you, your spirits could not be lit.
I have come to cast fire upon the earth; and how I wish it were already kindled! Luke 12:49.
Why? Your spirits are dead to Me and alive to sin until Jesus clears away that sin and the Holy Spirit regenerates you by baptizing you into Jesus as you are born again by receiving My imperishable Word. And once born again, Jesus baptizes you with the Holy Spirit and fire! The anointing of joy filling your lamp and the fire of love lighting it up. You need never again walk in darkness for within you burns the light of life.
Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.” John 8:12.
And what is that light of life?
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness cannot overcome it. John 1:1-5.
And what does all this have to do with His body and blood? Everything.
The night of the Passover meal know as the Last Supper, Jesus told you more about the Holy Spirit than had ever been revealed to mankind before. I had shown Him as active from the beginning but no one knew Him as you do now.
David came very close, he valued and cherished communication with Me by My Spirit on him, in fact, when he sinned, he prayed before all else that I would not take My Holy Spirit from him. For if you recall, when Samuel anointed David king, the Holy Spirit rushed upon him and never left him. On him but not in him. But My Word and My Spirit lit up his life and illuminated all the darkness around him. Psalm 18:28.
And there are many references, starting in the beginning of Genesis, about My Spirit—hovering over the void and the waters and bringing My Word into manifestation as creation, blowing the ground dry when the Red Sea parted, raising the dry dead bones out of their graves in the vision of the prophet Ezekiel, which Jesus fulfilled when He raised Lazarus from the grave, and so much more. And the Spirit was always joined with the anointing.
But at the Last Supper Jesus made you a promise that changes everything for everyone who enters the New and Everlasting Covenant with Jesus and joins with Him as one Spirit and receives the inner unction, the anointing to fill your lamps. And this is the life in you, My life in you. You are not truly alive until My Spirit quickens you within. I promised you eternal life before the world began and that life is in My Son but He pours it into you by the Holy Spirit.
Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances. Ezekiel 36:25-27.
To be like Me, to be like Jesus, you must have our Spirit in your spirit to flow divine life into you to produce the fruit of good works, to produce the miracles, the signs and the wonders for the benefit of all, so that the knowledge of My glory (My goodness, presence, and power) will cover the earth as the waters cover the sea! Rivers of living water flowing out of each believers well spring within leaping up to eternal life.
And Jesus told you how that would be the night of that Last Supper in the intimacy of the great Passover meal. And it all comes by faith, and faith works by love.
Jesus told the disciples that He is the way to Me, to the Kingdom, to eternal life and that you know Me by hearing and seeing Him. He only said My Words and did My Works so in seeing Him you see Me in action, for My Word is living and working. He then told the disciples the miraculous works He did proved something to them, i.e., that He is in Me, the Father and, that I, the Father, am in Him. John 14:6-11.
And then He gave them a promise, and through them to you, beyond all they could ask or imagine. He promised them what Adam and Eve had so desperately wanted and tried to get by bypassing Me, but Jesus showed His awed disciples that they could be just like Me and do the works I do as He had done while on earth, and even greater ones, if they just stayed in Him and thus in Me. If they just stayed in the strong tower of His Name that I had given Him which He then gave to you, if they just abided in love and by keeping His Word, which is love they would be in Him and thus in Me. He is your way, truth and life to all that I am and hold for you. O! what goodness, what greatness, I have stored up for those who love Me! Let Me release it in and through you!
Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it. John 14:12-14.
This should bring you to My throne with confidence with your great High Priest, for Jesus is the High Priest of YOUR confession (homologia: speaking the same words in agreement with your High Priest). Remember Jesus only spoke My Words and did My works as I showed Him. And that is where your power lies, in My hand upon you, Nehemiah 2:8, for I have put My words in your mouth and covered you with the shadow of My hand. And Jesus told you how these works would manifest in you.
If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Paraclete (One at your side, helper, advocate, counselor) that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.” John 14:15-17.
Not by your power or might but by the POWER of My Spirit. You are strong in Me and the POWER of My might. You are clothed within and without with POWER from on High. And that POWER is there to do a work, My works, to heal, to comfort, to provide, to prosper, to forgive, and make whole. The same Spirit that descended upon and remained in Jesus upon His baptism in the Jordan by John is now at work in you. The same Spirit by which I raised Him from the dead and seated Him with Me at My right hand in His resurrected glorious immortal body so that He is God and Man forever. He descended from Heaven as God to empty Himself and become man to serve you and Me and take on your sins so that you could join with Me in eternal life. But then I raised Him up as God and Man forever, to make you a new creation, the divine nature living in the human nature transforming you from glory to glory by the Spirit in beholding Jesus.
But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:18.
And He will never leave you or forsake you. He is One with you and you are One with Him. And He is in Me and you are in Me in Him. One seamless life of divinity and humanity. He broke down the dividing wall that sin had raised between us. And He did it in His body and blood. And He offers His body to you. “This is My body which is given for you.”
But the access to Me is by the One Spirit. And that is Jesus in you, your hope of glory. He is there by the Holy Spirit.
And you will notice this is a promise for those who love Him and keep His commandments. Remember what Peter told the High Priest and the council as they stood unable to decipher how the apostles had gotten out of the prison that night when all the gates had been locked and still were? Acts 5:22-26.
When they had brought them, they stood them before the Council. The high priest questioned them, saying, “We gave you strict orders not to continue teaching in this name, and yet, you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.” But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men. The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you had put to death by hanging Him on a cross. He is the one whom God exalted to His right hand as a Prince and a Savior, to grant repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. And we are witnesses of these things; and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey Him.” Acts 5:27-32.
Jesus is a gift to the whole world but the Holy Spirit is My gift to those in Jesus, those in the Church, those who obey My Words. The more you obey My Words, that is, hear, speak, and do them, the greater the measure of the Holy Spirit working in you.
For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for He gives the Spirit without measure. John 3:34.
You have the same Spirit in you that worked the works Jesus did and gave Jesus the Words He said. And He testifies to Jesus and witnesses with your spirit. But He is only there because Jesus cleansed you of sin and gave you a new heart and poured My Spirit in you from My throne and invites you to partake of His divinity and His humanity in the bread and wine of the Covenant that joins us together forever in Him, in His body, the Church.
“I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. After a little while the world will no longer see Me, but you will see Me; because I live, you will live also. John 14:18-19.
He did not leave you orphans, He gave you back to Me as your Father, He brought you into the family of believers, the household of faith, the whole family that would be called by My Name as one new man in Heaven and on earth. He gave you the power to be My children (But as many as received Him, to them He gave the authority to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:12-13) and to be one with Him in Word and works by My Spirit in you and on you.
“In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.” John 14:20-21.
The day you are filled with My Spirit you will know that I am your Father. How? The inner witness. The anointing.
For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!” The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ. Romans 8:14-17.
Do you know Me as “Abba?” I am so close to you. My Spirit leads you and witnesses to you from within. And when you are willing and obey, you are the one who loves Me, and I love you and reveal Jesus to you, that is, My Salvation. This puts you in My secret place.
“Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name. He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. With a long life I will satisfy him and show him My salvation (Yeshuah).” Psalm 91:14-15.
It all comes down to how you are treating My Word, for man does not live on bread alone but by every Word that proceeds from My mouth. And that is the real bread come out of Heaven. The daily manna of My Word.
Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, “Lord, what then has happened that You are going to disclose Yourself to us and not to the world?” Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me. John 14:21-22.
Jesus is defining love of Me for you in a concrete way. He had told you that the greatest of My commandments was to love Me with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. And here is how you do that, you keep My Words. You refuse to think, speak, or do things that are contrary to My Word. You make My Word your plumbline. I am love and I am My Word. So you walk in divine love, which is true love, and you will make your way prosperous and successful. Joshua 1:8.
And I want you to note the word used here when I state that I and My Son will make our abode with you. It is only used two times in the New Testament, once here and once at the beginning of this chapter when Jesus told you there were many dwelling places in My House and that He was going to prepare a place for you who believe. It is the Greek word “moné (μονή,),” which means a permanent abiding place, an abode, a dwelling place of beauty and delight that is private and unique. There is a place for us that is not for everyone though I have given you the Kingdom, but it includes a place that is just for you with Me in blessed unity.
And Jesus explained how the revelations He gave you that night would keep growing and filling your life with the light of life and the flame of love. First love never growing old or cold, always new and always true.
“These things I have spoken to you while abiding with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you. John 14:25-26.
And here Jesus is beginning to reveal to you the amazing work of My Spirit in your spirit. He will teach you ALL things you need to know in a never ending dialogue that will aways give you just the right words, the answers, the solutions, the grace, and the miracles just when you need them. And He will bring to your remembrance all things Jesus shared with you and take you deeper into the truth of My Word. There are no limits.
So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:17-21.
Wonder working power in you by My Spirit and there you see the works Jesus did and greater. What are the greater works? You can bring people to faith in Jesus, who you know Him as now, to believe in their hearts that I raised Him from the dead and confess Him as Lord and they will be born again and forever saved. You can bring people from death to life, born again by My Word and My Spirit. Jesus could not do that while He was on earth. He had to die, rise, and return to Me first and He entrusted that message to you. What an honor to save souls with Me as My witnesses on earth. And the Holy Spirit testifies to Jesus, and with Him in you, you will join in as well. He will give you words and a wisdom no one can take exception to or contradict. Rely on Him.
And Jesus gave you the gift of peace that night, His own peace that passes understanding. This is a most wonderful gift of peace from the Prince of peace. It is the gift of SHALOM. Nothing missing, nothing broken and no one alone. And in His sufferings and death the chastisement would fall upon Him for your SHALOM. Isaiah 53:5.
And you should not be surprised He gave you His SHALOM. He always did My Will, He always did what pleased Me, and it has always been My plan for you from the start—I know the plans I have for you, plans for your SHALOM and not evil, to give YOU a future (an eternal one) and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11.
Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. John 14:27.
But you have a part too in taking and maintaining this wondrous gift of shalom peace. You must not let your heart be troubled or fearful. In other words, you must monitor your thoughts and words and take them captive in obedience to Christ. And how do you do that? Cast all your care on Me because I care for you. Do not permit yourself to be anxious about things but in everything come to Me and pray about it using My promises in My Word that address your trouble or fear and thank Me for the answer before you see it with shouts of praise and songs of joy. When the devil tries to steal your peace with troublesome and fearful thoughts, you must respond, you must ACT (Answer, Cast out the attacking spirit, Cast your care on Me, and Thank Me for the result I promise even before you see it).
So the response to the devil’s attacks is as follows: First find the Scripture that best addresses the issue that is troubling you, answers such as My promises of healing, provision, or forgiveness, then speak that answer, that truth of My Word, directly to counter the unclean spirit that has attacked you. Next, cast that demon spirit out in Jesus’ Name (such as a spirit of depression, fear, hate, bitterness, addiction, illness, pain, or anything of the evil one) or speak to the mountain or storm that has come against you and take it down. Then cast your care on Me and thank and praise Me for the good result before you see it, knowing that you have it for sure.
I love you. Have you come to believe that yet? Look at Jesus and let My Spirit show you more and more of the height, depth, breadth, and length of My love for you. Keep feeding on My Word who is Jesus, His body and blood, and you will never grow cold or old but will always be fruitful, about the work of the ministry.
So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in yourselves. He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. For My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink. He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats Me, he also will live because of Me. This is the bread which came down out of heaven; not as the fathers ate and died; he who eats this bread will live forever.” John 6:53-58.
