You shall set the bread of the Presence on the table before Me at all times. Exodus 25:30.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
Everything I have planned is already there in Me, but it takes place at the appointed time.
Then the LORD answered me and said, “Record the vision and inscribe it on tablets, that the one who reads it may run. For the vision is yet for the appointed time; it hastens toward the goal and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; for it will certainly come, it will not delay. Habakkuk 2:2-3.
But you are like that too, being in My image and according to My likeness, you plan, you dream, and from that comes the finished project. First things are conceived within before they manifest without.
So too it was with the Eucharist. The idea of My presence in bread and wine did not begin the night of the Last Supper, it was in place before the world began. I know the end from the beginning. You will only know the fullness of the plan when you are with Me in the Kingdom and can see Me with your own eyes face-to-face. Now you see as in a mirror dimly but then face-to-face.
We have talked of the Passover lamb, the manna, and the morning and evening offerings of the unblemished lamb, the unleavened bread, and the hin of wine. We have seen the King and Priest Melchizedek bringing bread and wine to Abraham, for I taught Abraham in many ways about the day of Jesus as I preached the Gospel to him ahead of time. Galatians 3:8; John 8:56.
And we have yet to look carefully at the words of consecration of Jesus that you are to follow in remembrance of Him, but there is another mystery of the bread and the wine that I want to reveal to you from the plan of the Tabernacle I gave to Moses and the plan for the Temple that David gave to Solomon and that is the Lehem Panim, literally, the “Bread of the Face,” but in Hebrew when I say someone is in My presence it is stated that that person is before My face.
I tell you to seek My face, which is to seek My presence, but in a special intimate way. When two communicate they face each other and look into each other’s eyes. If it is otherwise, you know that the person is not focused on listening and responding to you as they should be to carry on a meaningful conversation. You can tell by where a person is looking what they are paying attention to.
The same is true when you pray to Me, if your attention is on your problem more than on Me, I cannot get the solution to you as quickly as I would like for you have difficulty hearing from Me and perceiving Me when you are worried, fearful, upset, or angry.
The communion meal was meant to be eaten. The Passover lamb that was sacrificed had to be eaten that night and nothing left until the next day or it had to be burnt. The same with the Manna that fell on the dewfall, it had to be gathered in the morning and eaten during that day, nothing could be left over to the next day or it rotted, except of course on the day before the Shabbat, then the provision of the double portion manifested to sanctify and set apart that day as your time resting in Me.
My Son’s body is food for your journey in life and it transforms you and brings you health and wholeness from the inside out, making your body one with His body and giving you eternal life. And His blood continually cleanses you of all sin. These are to be partaken and not held back on reserve. My Son never told you to put His body in places other than in you. You are My sanctuary on earth as a temple of My Spirit.
But this is not the end of the mystery of the bread out of Heaven, as you recall I did tell Moses to put an urn of Manna in the ark of the Covenant to show to later generations the assurance of provision even in a barren desert for those who are Mine by covenant, for the Manna was going to cease when they arrived at the promised land.
But the offering of the body and blood of My Son will never cease, even in the Kingdom, for it is an eternal and perpetual memorial meal that you will eat and drink at His table in His Kingdom.
But there was another bread that is not often spoken about, but it too is forever on the altar before Me, for His body and His blood are eternal, ever before Me in the Holy Place in Heaven. His eternal blood still pleads for you before Me on the Mercy Seat.
Do not forget the golden lampstand, the golden altar of incense, and the golden table with the Bread of the Presence (the Bread of the Face) and utensils of pure gold for the drink offering of wine. These were the only furnishings in the Holy Place before you entered behind the veil into the Holy of Holies. And each has an important meaning and role, and each was to be continually before Me, for the design I gave Moses was carefully patterned on the greater and better Tabernacle in Heaven.
Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, “Tell the sons of Israel to raise a contribution for Me; from every man whose heart moves him you shall raise My contribution . . . Let them construct a sanctuary for Me, that I may dwell among them. According to all that I am going to show you, as the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furniture, just so you shall construct it.” Exodus 25:1-2;8-9.
And I asked that there be a certain table with bread upon it on the north side of the inner court, the Holy place, that preceded entering the Holy of Holies. Only the priests, Aaron’s sons, could enter this place. This table and the bread and wine that would be upon it was so sacred to Me that it was the second piece of furnishing I revealed to Moses on Mt. Sinai when I gave him the detailed plans for that first dwelling place for Me among men.
First, I gave Moses the plans for the Ark of the Covenant (Testimony) with the golden mercy seat (propitiatory) on the top. It was to be made of precious enduring acacia wood covered in gold, but the mercy seat was pure solid gold. The Ark was a shadow of Christ being My true tabernacle among men upon whom I put My Name bearing testimony to Me. Wood symbolizes man, for you are like a tree planted by running waters, and gold symbolizes My righteousness. And from above the cherubim constructed as one piece with the mercy seat I spoke with Moses and gave him commandment for the children of Israel, for My nation set apart as the light to the world.
And the next furnishing I discussed was for the table upon which the Bread of the Presence, the twelve loaves placed there fresh on shabbat of every week.
“You shall make a table of acacia wood, two cubits long and one cubit wide and one and a half cubits high. You shall overlay it with pure gold and make a gold border around it. You shall make for it a rim of a handbreadth around it; and you shall make a gold border for the rim around it. You shall make four gold rings for it and put rings on the four corners which are on its four feet. The rings shall be close to the rim as holders for the poles to carry the table. You shall make the poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold, so that with them the table may be carried. You shall make its dishes and its pans and its jars and its bowls with which to pour drink offerings; you shall make them of pure gold. You shall set the bread of the Presence on the table before Me at all times. Exodus 25:23-20.
Again you see the wood symbolizing man overlaid with pure gold, that is, clothed in My righteousness. And the bread of the Presence was to be on the table before Me at all times.
Then I gave Moses the plans for the golden lampstand (Menorah) to be placed across from the golden table of the Bread of the Presence on the south side of the Holy Place.
Do you see? These are pictures, visuals, shadows, teachings, signs of Jesus who would come at the appointed time. He is the bread out of Heaven (thus the north side as north symbolizes the direction of My Kingdom of Heaven) and He is the Light of the world (the golden lampstand placed on the south side, which symbolizes the direction of the world). The bread was continually on the golden table, always to be present, baked each week and put there fresh each Shabbat and the lamp was trimmed and kept a blaze each morning and evening so it never went out.
And forming the solid gold lampstand there were six branches on the trunk of the shaft of the lampstand with the servant lamp, the seventh lamp being on top of the shaft in the center of the six branches. Six is the number of man, I created you on the sixth day, and seven is the number of completion and rest. And all the wicks of the six oil lamps were trimmed to shine towards the center lamp. Jesus is the center of you all. Jesus is the true Shabbat.
“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:2-30
There were twelve loaves for the twelve tribes of the Bread of the Presence signifying My presence with every person in the nation. The government is on the shoulders of Jesus, your bread of life, who sustains the nation and every member in it. I have given Him the nations as an inheritance and He has given them to you, His body.
He said to Me, ‘You are My Son, today I have begotten You. Ask of Me, and I will surely give the nations as Your inheritance, and the very ends of the earth as Your possession. You shall break them with a rod of iron, You shall shatter them like earthenware.’” Psalm 2:7-9.
He who overcomes, and he who keeps My deeds until the end, to him I will give authority over the nations; and he shall rule them with a rod of iron, as the vessels of the potter are broken to pieces, as I also have received authority from My Father; and I will give him the morning star. Revelation 2:26-28
I made sure that the golden lampstand would always be burning and that the Bread of the Presence would always be there before Me. But it had to be done with the participation and generosity of My people, just as the Tabernacle was built. I supplied them with the riches as they left Egypt and then I gave them the opportunity to participate in the building project so I could bless and increase them even more. Everyone had a part in it. I give you funds, talents, skill to build My Kingdom on earth. Don’t bury your talent in the ground, participate and you will know joy, ever increasing joy.
I spoke to Moses first about the light.
Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, “Command the sons of Israel that they bring to you clear oil from beaten olives for the light, to make a lamp burn continually. Outside the veil of testimony in the tent of meeting, Aaron shall keep it in order from evening to morning before the LORD continually; it shall be a perpetual statute throughout your generations. He shall keep the lamps in order on the pure gold lampstand before the LORD continually. Leviticus 24:2-4.
And then I spoke about the bread before Me. And there were careful instructions, just as there are for the communion elements as well.
“Then you shall take fine flour and bake twelve cakes with it; two-tenths of an ephah shall be in each cake. You shall set them in two rows, six to a row, on the pure gold table before the LORD. You shall put pure frankincense on each row that it may be a memorial portion for the bread, even an offering by fire to the LORD. Every sabbath day he shall set it in order before the LORD continually; it is an everlasting covenant for the sons of Israel. It shall be for Aaron and his sons, and they shall eat it in a holy place; for it is most holy to him from the LORD’s offerings by fire, his portion forever.” Leviticus 24:5-9.
This bread was to be before Me continually as an everlasting covenant. And the priests were to eat it in a holy place, for the Bread of the Presence was most holy and their portion forever.
“I am the living bread that came down out of heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread also which I will give for the life of the world is My flesh.” John 6:51.
Only the priests were to eat it, but David and his men, fleeing from Saul in their hunger partook of it as well. And now Jesus has made you all a royal priesthood partaking of the true bread from Heaven and as His body on earth you are all continually before Me seated with Him in Heaven at My right hand. The bread of His presence is in you, for though many you are one body.
Is not the cup of blessing which we bless a sharing in the blood of Christ? Is not the bread which we break a sharing in the body of Christ? Since there is one bread, we who are many are one body; for we all partake of the one bread. 1 Corinthians 10:16-17.
My eyes are always on you to watch over the body of My Son.
“For My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink. He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats Me, he also will live because of Me. This is the bread which came down out of heaven; not as the fathers ate and died; he who eats this bread will live forever.” John 6:55-58.
Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world, happy are you who are called to His supper! Behold and be transformed.
“For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.” John 6:40.
Let us continue on to learn more in our next Life Lesson. For there are great and awesome mysteries hidden in the Eucharist. With joy you will draw water at the springs of salvation (Yeshuah). Put down your bucket and draw up revelation. Ask Jesus for a drink. Ask Him to light a fire in your heart, the fire of love everlasting.
A smoldering wick, He will not quench, a broken reed He will not crush. He will supply the flame, the strength, the grain, the wine, and the oil till the vats overflow with wine and the threshing floor overflows with grain. All by My Spirit, all by grace.
Partake of the bread of life. It is a substance not known to man that comes out of Heaven for a man to eat and never die. I have set a table before you in the sight of your enemies but they have no hold on you. Just keep eating among the sapphire stones.
Then Moses went up with Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel, and they saw the God of Israel; and under His feet there appeared to be a pavement of sapphire, as clear as the sky itself. Yet He did not stretch out His hand against the nobles of the sons of Israel; and they saw God, and they ate and drank. Exodus 24:9-11.
I love you. Keep the bread of the Presence before Me continually. Could you not even watch with Me one hour? Pray that you not undergo temptation, the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.
