I sought the LORD and He answered me, and delivered me from all my fears. Psalm 34:4.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
You who partake in the body and blood of My Son, you who are walking this journey of remembrance with Me, what should the resurrection have instilled in you? A spirit of strength and courage, a spirit of hope and new life, the spirit of an overcomer, a victor, more than a conqueror, for sin and death have no power over you, I have delivered you from all your fears.
Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and might free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives. Hebrews 2:14-15.
Jesus understands your weaknesses, He was tempted, tried, and tested in every way, but he never sinned.
Therefore, He had to be made like His brethren in all things, so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. For since He Himself was tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted. Hebrews 2:17-18.
And He told you that as He had done, you would also do. How? He is with you always. He is present as your Helper. And He did this by sending you the Holy Spirit.
I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. John 14:16-18.
And in sending you My Spirit He fulfilled My promise to you of a new heart in which I put My Spirit so that you could keep My law of love.
Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances. Ezekiel 36: 25-27.
For by the gift of the Holy Spirit I have poured My perfect divine love into YOUR heart. This is a precious gift that you would be wise to draw on at all times so you can walk in love and truth. For all My ways are lovingkindness (divine love) and truth (My Word is truth). There is no darkness in Me at all. All is in the light for I am pure love and no evil or darkness can dwell in Me.
The resurrection brings you into the Kingdom of Light. The Kingdom of My beloved Son, for I have rescued you from the power of darkness and brought you into My own marvelous light, even now, the Light of the world. A light to your path and a lamp to your feet. And that light will come to you in the revelation of My Word. And that is what Jesus did for His disciples who were in darkness and fear after His crucifixion, death, and burial, He showed them Himself to them and then opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, for they are all about Him.
You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is these that testify about Me; and you are unwilling to come to Me so that you may have life. I do not receive glory from men; but I know you, that you do not have the love of God in yourselves. I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, you will receive him. How can you believe, when you receive glory from one another and you do not seek the glory that is from the one and only God? Do not think that I will accuse you before the Father; the one who accuses you is Moses, in whom you have set your hope. For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me, for he wrote about Me. John 5:39-45.
What seems like the end of a Word from Me, Jesus had told the disciples that in keeping with the Scriptures He would rise on the third day, never is the end when you are in Christ Jesus. When a door shuts another one opens for you. And that is resurrection power. The door to Heaven is wide open for those in Jesus now and no one can shut it to you.
He who is holy, who is true, who has the key of David, who opens and no one will shut, and who shuts and no one opens, says this: “I know your deeds. Behold, I have put before you an open door which no one can shut.” Revelation 3:7-8.
Planted in Jesus is My house you are always growing, even in old age.
The righteous man will flourish like the palm tree, he will grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still yield fruit in old age; they shall be full of sap and very green, to declare that the LORD is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him. Psalm 92:12-15.
On the day I raised My Son from the dead, He rose at the hour the Manna had fallen, before sunrise like the dewfall, and you will notice the involvement of angels in removing the stone, to the amazement of the guards, who fell down like dead men in the presence of My angel, and sharing the good news of His resurrection at the empty tomb with the devoted women who were the first ones out to the tomb that day. They were ever faithful and bold in their love for My Son, they had been at the crucifixion and had observed where His body was buried.
Many women were there looking on from a distance, who had followed Jesus from Galilee while ministering to Him. Among them was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joseph, and the mother of the sons of Zebedee. Matthew 27:55-56.
They obediently kept the Shabbat day of rest and now came to anoint the body for proper burial. They were bold to go and even challenge the guards. But they did not have too. I took care of that with My angelic host.
And behold, a severe earthquake had occurred, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled away the stone and sat upon it. And his appearance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow. The guards shook for fear of him and became like dead men. Matthew 28:3-4.
When you are on the right path, I always open the way.
But Mary was standing outside the tomb weeping; and so, as she wept, she stooped and looked into the tomb; and she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been lying. John 20:11-12.
Does this remind you of something? Do you recall that when I gave Moses the plans for the propitiatory (Mercy Seat) for the Ark of the Covenant (Testimony), I directed him to sculpt two angels, two cherubim, out of gold, one at each end of the Mercy Seat. I am very careful with respect to details that are revealed at a later time. I speak the end from the beginning.
The cherubim shall have their wings spread upward, covering the mercy seat with their wings and facing one another; the faces of the cherubim are to be toward the mercy seat. You shall put the mercy seat on top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put the testimony which I will give to you. There I will meet with you; and from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are upon the ark of the testimony, I will speak to you about all that I will give you in commandment for the sons of Israel. Exodus 25:17-22.
For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is no one like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things which have not been done, saying, “My purpose will be established, and I will accomplish all My good pleasure.” Isaiah 46:9-10. You can stand on My Word, what I say I mean, and it is sure. Never think it is over for you if My Word has not been performed. Stand your ground. Redemption ground. Resurrection ground.
Even though Lazarus had been in the tomb four days, Jesus already had received My Word when He first received news of Lazarus’ illness that the sickness would not end in death, John 11:4, and He did not let the circumstances turn Him back from that. And My Word came to pass and My glory manifested.
Also in the resurrection of My Son, I want you to note that when Peter first saw the empty tomb left wondering, but John believed. The one who knew My love and had such great love for My Son that he never denied or left him through to His death and burial, who never doubted any of His Words, remembered and believed though he did not yet understand. Love, true love, makes all the difference for faith only works by love. But My Son had prayed that Peter’s faith would never fail, and Peter came to true love. Agape love for Jesus. He laid down his life for him and for his sheep that Jesus left him instructions to feed with the Word. By love filling his heart when the Holy Spirit was poured out on Pentecost, Peter became fearless and faithful.
And you see those that loved much, like Mary Magdalene, who cared to run like the beloved bride in Song of Songs, looking to find her beloved, was rewarded when Jesus appeared to her before any of the twelve, now eleven, disciples.
And next we come to the journey of the Eucharist, the first one made, by two disciples on their way to Emmaus just outside Jerusalem on the day I raised My Son from the dead. Let Me show you this wondrous encounter, for it is yours as well each time you partake in the body and blood of My Son and remember. He, as He first did for them, later did for the eleven disciples when He appeared that evening to them.
Now He said to them, “These are My Words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things which are written about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.” Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures. Luke 24:44-45.
And so we begin on the road of remembrance on the way to Emmaus on that resurrection day:
On that day, two of those who had followed Jesus but were not of the twelve, were going that to a village named Emmaus, which was close to seven miles from Jerusalem. As they walked, they were talking with each other about all these things which had taken place in the crucifixion and death of Jesus. This was very big news for Jesus had a widespread reputation with the people who had crowded around him during His ministry to hear Him and be healed.
While they were talking and discussing, Jesus Himself approached and began traveling with them. But their eyes were prevented from recognizing Him.
When you are in doubt and unbelief concerning the identity of My Son and are shaken by events that appear to you to be contrary to My Word, you cannot recognize Me. You have your eyes too hard on the trouble in the world and the worldly view of questioning My goodness. But this event was foretold by Me, by Jesus many times to His disciples, and actually was extremely good news for you as He bore and suffered for your sins, illnesses, pains, shame, and guilt to bear your punishment in full for you and set you free from the fear of sin and death.
So Jesus said to them, “What are these words that you are exchanging with one another as you are walking?” When you are in fear, doubt, or evil thoughts, I know it, but I will question you about it, as I did in the beginning with Adam and Cain. Both lied to Me about why they were in that condition, or at least blamed Me and someone else. Do you remember when Elijah ran in fear from Jezebel when I had just worked a mighty miracle of revival through him I asked him, quite gently, what he was doing where he had run away to.
And the two on the road to Emmaus with Jesus stood still, looking sad. You will note there was no hope or joy of anticipation of resurrection there though My Son had foretold it many times. They had let circumstances steal their hope and their joy.
One of them, named Cleopas, answered and said to Him, “Are You the only one visiting Jerusalem and unaware of the things which have happened here in these days?” That was not an answer to Jesus’ question to them. And many of you are like that when I question you. You throw it right back to Me, questioning Me for questioning you. Like Peter in the boat in the storm.
And He said to them, “What things?” And they said to Him, “The things about Jesus the Nazarene, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word in the sight of God and all the people, and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered Him to the sentence of death, and crucified Him. But we were hoping that it was He who was going to redeem Israel. Indeed, besides all this, it is the third day since these things happened. But also some women among us amazed us. When they were at the tomb early in the morning, and did not find His body, they came, saying that they had also seen a vision of angels who said that He was alive. Some of those who were with us went to the tomb and found it just exactly as the women also had said; but Him they did not see.” Luke 24:19-24. All this evidence that verified the Words Jesus had spoken to them in advance, telling of His rejection by the chief priests and rulers, of the mocking and unjust condemnation, the crucifixion, the burial, and the resurrection on the third day was not enough for them. Even the testimony of the women and the angels was not enough. They had to see Him to believe. Too many are like that even today. My Word is not enough for them to believe they are healed, provided for, blessed and forgiven. So they keep asking for a sign, and then they still do not believe unless it manifests, but you only draw out what I have already given you by faith. And the spirit of faith is you believe in your heart and SPEAK with you mouth. You speak the end from the beginning like I do. Imitate Me as My dear children and walk in love. And if you love Me, you obey My Word. And obeying is declaring and doing it. Act upon the truth and do what I tell you to have it. Do not accuse Me in doubt and unbelief of not keeping My Word. Then you have blocked it by your own declaration.
Jesus had a reply for them. He called them foolish but He did not leave them there, He opened their minds to wisdom by My Word. Remember, a fool says in his heart there is no God. I am My Word. Be careful how you treat My Word because everything in your life hinges on that.
So Jesus then answered their doubts, “O foolish men and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and to enter into His glory?” Then beginning with Moses and with all the prophets, He explained to them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures.
And here the Eucharistic journey began. Jesus started with the first five books of the Bible (the Torah), which were given to Moses to write when I introduced the written Word rather than an oral law as with Abraham. He then went on to all the prophetic writings and next to the Scriptures such as the Psalms, Song of Songs, and all the others.
Do you see the importance of remembering? These disciples, indeed, all of the disciples, forgot all Jesus did and said the minute the circumstances looked contrary to THEIR expectations, which were not based on My Word. Jesus had to bring them back to the Word before they could understand and fall in love all over again. Only My Word can drive out darkness and fear, for faith comes by hearing, and by hearing My Word about Christ.
The two disciples were no longer weary or even noticing that they had almost reached Emmaus, in the Word with Jesus it seemed but a moment. But as they noticed they were almost to their destination, and Jesus continued walking as though He were going farther, they stopped Him and urged Him to stay longer with them, saying, “Stay with us, for it is getting toward evening, and the day is now nearly over.” He had given them hope and joy again. So He went in to stay with them.
When He had reclined at the table with them, He took the bread and blessed it, and breaking it, He began giving it to them. It was as though they were back at the table with Him at the Last Supper all new again. Then their eyes were opened, and they recognized Him; and He vanished from their sight. The light of My Word overcomes darkness. Darkness cannot stay in the light. And now every time they partook in the communion meal they would remember.
They said to one another, “Were not our hearts burning within us while He was speaking to us on the road, while He was explaining the Scriptures to us?” The spirit of a man is My lamp, filled with My anointing and lit with My eternal flame, to search, heal, and deliver all your innermost parts, every area of your life. My Words are life to those who find and health to all their flesh.
And when you get filled with My Word, you just have to share it. So they got up from the table at that very hour and returned to Jerusalem in less than a quarter of the time it took them to get to Emmaus, but when you get full of the Spirit you can outrun a chariot, remember Elijah and Ahab? And then later there would be Philip and the Ethiopian.
And when they arrived in Jerusalem and ran to the upper room, they found gathered together the eleven and those who were with them, and they too were excited, announcing to the two before they could share, “The Lord has really risen and has appeared to Simon.” Then they confirmed it as they began to relate their experiences on the road and how He was recognized by them in the breaking of the bread.
I love you. Do you recognize Him in the breaking of the bread? If you start remembering, starting with Moses, the Prophets, and the Scriptures, you will. Remember. Your hearts will burn with the flame of My love and it will never go out for My love is eternal. And from the resurrection you know that so are you. I am your eternity and I am love. You have nothing to fear.
