“They will not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,” declares the LORD, “for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.” Jeremiah 31:34.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:

“Do this in remembrance of Me,” commanded My Son as the disciples partook of His body and blood for the first time. And on that night, the Passover memorial meal was fulfilled and forever memorialized in the New and Everlasting Covenant of love. And Jesus included you in that command, all you who would receive Him by believing in Him through their Word.

“I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word; that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.” John 17:20-21.

As we walk in remembrance we have now come to the substance of the shadow of sacrifice of the Passover Lamb, Jesus risen and glorified with all your sins gone so that reconciliation has been made—His blood paid for the eternal life lost and thus redeemed you, His death satisfied your sentence of condemnation to the dust (the second death) and thus released you, His resurrection justified you, His ascension brought you up with Him blameless before Me, and now your born again spirit was ready to receive the fullness of My Promise of My Spirit in you and on you.

When He was about to ascend back to Me, Jesus told the disciples:

And behold, I am sending forth the promise of My Father upon you; but you are to stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.” Luke 24:49.

And again,

Gathering them together, Jesus commanded them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for what the Father had promised, “Which,” He said, “you heard of from Me; for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” Acts 1:4-5.

And once they saw Him go up to return to Me, they went to the upper room and waited as He had commanded, knowing He had told them that they would receive power when the Holy Spirit came upon them and they would be His witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth. Acts 1:8.

I had promised you eternal life before the world began and I kept that promise in Jesus. I had promised you that I would take out your dead and stony hearts—your spirits that had been born from life to death in Adam and were dead to Me and alive to sin—and give you living hearts—alive to Me and dead to sin, and put My Spirit in you and on you and write My law in your hearts. Cleansed of sin I would change you within. I would make you holy like Me. And I did that by giving you the Holy Spirit.

Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances. Ezekiel 36:25-27.

And I talked about a new Covenant to Isaiah and Jeremiah, My own arm and My own righteousness would come down, a redeemer out of Zion.

“A Redeemer will come to Zion, and to those who turn from transgression in Jacob,” declares the LORD. “As for Me, this is My covenant with them,” says the LORD: “My Spirit which is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your offspring, nor from the mouth of your offspring’s offspring,” says the LORD, “from now and forever.” Isaiah 59:21.

And this New Covenant would not be like the covenant which I made with the Israelites in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, for they broke My Covenant, although I was a husband to them, “But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares the LORD, “I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. They will not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.” Jeremiah 31:31-34.

And I showed My prophet Isaiah how the sins would all be gone. By the One who would be born to a virgin and be God with you, Isaiah 7:14, the child born to you and the Son given you upon whose shoulders dominion rests, and by My coming down by My strong arm and redeeming My people in the suffering servant, My Yeshuah:

Surely our illnesses and griefs He Himself bore, and our pains and sorrows He carried; yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, and by His scourging we are healed. All of us like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; but the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him. Isaiah 53:5-6.

With your sins forgiven and gone, the way was cleared for all to know Me from the least to the greatest. We had been reconciled. But there was more you needed, just as foretold, to truly be one with Me, to communicate individually with Me, to access Me. Yes, Jesus had opened the way to Me by a new and living way, but to know Me, you needed the Holy Spirit. And that was the ultimate gift that Jesus came to give you.

If you knew who He is and My gift to you, you would ask Him for a drink and He would give you living water that will fill the well of your spirit and leap up to eternal life and run like rivers out of your innermost being to give drink to a thirsty world.

That is why Jesus told His disciples it was better He returned to Me and did not remain with them, so He could send them One just like Him but who would be with them and in them every moment for time and eternity. Before He could pour Him forth on you, He had to die, rise, and be glorified so that your spirits would be born again and justified. My Spirit cannot join with a dead spirit. You must be released from your sins by the blood of Jesus and be born again from on High by My Word to receive the Holy Spirit.

Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself.” Acts 2:38-39.

The Holy Spirit is a gift I give to those who have received Jesus as Lord because eternal life is to know Me, the One true God, and the One whom I sent, Jesus Christ, but you cannot know Me without the Holy Spirit, or Jesus either for that matter.

Why? Only My Spirit knows My thoughts, My secrets, My plans, My Words, and My purposes. He is intimately acquainted with My ways. He is God Himself and the third person of the Trinity. He and I, like Jesus and I, are One. “For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words. 1 Corinthians 2:11-13.

You who believe have received not the spirit of the world, which those walking in the flesh and not in the Spirit have inherited from the futile way of life inherited from their unbelieving forefathers, but the Spirit who is from Me, so that you may know the things I have freely given you. Freely given means you already have them, so stop acting like the world and running after things constantly but instead taking possession of them. Seek My Kingdom first and My way of righteousness (faith in Jesus) and all things will be added to you as well. I have blessed you in Jesus with every blessing in Heaven.

But I want to address a few things here before we journey on to a going through the events of Pentecost that day when Jesus had ascended to My throne and poured out the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

My Spirit knows My deepest thoughts, revealing who I am, My very essence in the core of My being. And so does your spirit in you. So when My Spirit can reside in your spirit, deep calls unto deep, and each can pour out their heart to the other.

Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah. Psalm 62:8.

The secret of the LORD is for those who fear Him, and He will make them know His covenant. Psalm 25:14.

How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them! Psalm 139:17.

And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans 5:5.

My Spirit teaches you to go within, into My secret place and your secret place, to close your innermost door to the outside and pray in the secret of the inner man of the heart, the garden enclosed of Song of Songs, to sanctify Me as Lord in your hearts. You are not going to the external but the internal, in other words, the spirit realm and not the flesh realm.

You will notice I tell you very particularly that you have received My Spirit and not the spirit of the world. What is the spirit of the world? It is the spirit of the temporal and not the eternal and it tends to focus only on self. I do define it for you, however, it is the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the boastful pride of life (the life of empty show). It is not from Me but from the world, and the god of this world, due to Adam giving over his dominion authority to him, is the devil, who has blinded the minds of the unbelieving with the spirit of the world.

Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever. 1 John 2:15-17.

What is My Will? To believe in the Name of My Son and to love one another as He commanded you. And My Will for you in Him is to rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and to give constant thanks.

To the worldly, spiritual things appear foolish because they cannot see them or touch them with their five physical senses.

But a carnal man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. But he who is spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no one. For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he will instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:14-16.

The spirit of the world is set only on temporal gain and not eternal.

Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18.

What man holds as worldly prestige, does not impress Me. I know your heart. The inner man of the heart.

And Jesus said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is exalted among men is an abomination in the sight of God.” Luke 16:15.

How do you escape the lust of the spirit of the world while you are still in this world? Walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh and you will have no desire to live for your flesh. By My Spirit in you, like a branch abiding in the vine, you become partakers of My divine nature, and you produce the fruit of the Spirit in your own life. And that comes through the knowledge of Me that the Spirit within gives you. For by Him, I have written My law in your heart.

Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord; seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust. 2 Peter 1:2-4.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. Let us not become boastful, challenging one another, envying one another. Galatians 5:22-26.

Time to think about the discernment of spirits, and even that is a gift of My Holy Spirit to you. He is the Spirit of Wisdom and many other good and perfect gifts. Receive the Holy Spirit! How? Ask Me to give Him to you.

“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?” Luke 11:13.

I give Him to My children. And He leads My children and teaches them all things and reminds you of all I have said.

I love you. We will continue our journey of remembrance in our next Life Lesson.
