When the day of Pentecost had fully come (was being fulfilled), they were all together in one place. Acts 2:1.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:

On our journey of remembrance we have come to a very important day, the day the appointed time (in Hebrew, moed (מוֹעֵד (plural moadim (מועדים)): appointed time, place, or meeting) of Pentecost was fulfilled. This was the fourth appointed time on My timeline of salvation that was fulfilled, three are left before all is fulfilled and My Kingdom comes down out of Heaven to tabernacle with earth. And of course that will fulfill the appointed time of the joyous feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot).

If you are not familiar with the appointed times of which I am speaking, called “moadim (מועדים),” I will explain them now.

Jesus told you that the Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh (רוח הקודש)) tells you the things to come. John 13:16. And He does.  Since I breathed the entire Bible into existence, 2 Timothy 3:16, each Word contains My breath (Ruach (רוח)), you will find that I tell you the things to come.

Signs and seasons.  Appointed times.  I tell you that I made the sun, the moon, and the stars to shed light on the earth and as signs (otot (אֹתֹת֙)) and for seasons (appointed times) (moadim) (מ֣וֹעֲדִ֔ים) and for days and years.  Genesis 1:14-15; Luke 21:25.  Time.  And later I set out My Moadim to Moses.  And My Moadim are to show you the things to come at their appointed times.

In the fullness of time, they come.  Just like My Son.  He always was, is and will be, Revelation 1:8, and His goings forth are from long ago, from the days of eternity, Micah 5:2, but when the fullness of the time came, I sent forth My Son, born of a virgin, born under the Law, so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that you might receive the adoption as sons.  Galatians 4:4-5.

My prophets, under the inspiration of My Spirit, write the vision so that the one who reads it may run with it, for the vision is yet for the appointed time (moed (מּוֹעֵ֔ד)), it hastens toward the goal and it will not fail.  Though it tarries, wait for it, for it will surely come, it will not delay.  Habakkuk 2:2-3.

So, be like the sons of Issachar, who understood the times to know what Israel ought to do.  1 Chronicles 12:32.

I set out to you all the things to come in these appointed times, in exact order, in My Moadim which I gave to Moses for the sons of Israel.  Many English translations use the word “feasts” for the Word “moadim” where I give them to Moses, but that is not correct.  The Hebrew word for feast is “chag,” not “moadim.”

Now, let Me show you My Moadim so you can understand the signs of the times and know what to do.

I gave My Moadim to Moses in the wilderness on the way to the Promised Land (My rest) after the Israelites had constructed My dwelling place (tabernacle) according to the plans I gave Moses on Mt. Sinai. So turn to the Book of what you call “Leviticus” and I call “Vaiyiqra (וַיִּקְרָ֖א).”  Vaiyiqra means “And He called.”  And the first words in that Book are “And called to Moses and spoke YHWH.”  I called to Moses out of the tent (ohel (אֹ֥הֶל)) of the Meeting (Moed) and told him many things.  Among them I gave him My Moadim for the children of Israel to know the times and seasons.

In Chapter 23 I set out the seven Moadim and their order.  At the time I gave them none had been fulfilled but now four have been fulfilled and three remain.  They are yet for the appointed time (moed), they hasten toward the goal and will not fail.  Though they tarry, they surely come.

The first moed is Passover. Leviticus 23:5. I tell Moses that this feast is to be in the first month of the year.  Nisan begins the Jewish religious calendar and it is the month of the Passover- the day of redemption from slavery in Egypt.  The day the unblemished lamb was sacrificed, and its blood placed on the doorposts of each Hebrew’s home so that the destroyer that struck down all the first born males of Egypt passed over their dwellings and they remained unharmed from the just wrath released against the Egyptians who had killed the boy babies of the Israelites.  Even the Egyptians who fled to the Israelites were saved by the blood of the lamb and a mixed group left Egypt that night. Exodus 12:38.  And that night they ate the roasted flesh of the lamb and unleavened bread in their homes sealed by the blood of the lamb from the wrath.

This moed has been fulfilled in Jesus.  He redeemed you out of the slavery to sin and death by His outstretched arm.  Exodus 6:6. He sealed the New Covenant in His blood.  Matthew 26:17-22. Do this in memory of Him.  John the Baptist pointed out Jesus as the “lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.” And I make it quite clear through My apostle Paul when he writes, “Christ, your Passover, has been sacrificed.” 1 Corinthians 5:7. Once for all.  There is no further offering necessary to take away sin and save you from the wrath to come.

So that one has been fulfilled in the fullness of time, at its appointed time, Christ died for the ungodly to save you from the wrath to come and to redeem you from the slavery of sin and death.

The next moed that follows the Passover immediately for seven days is the feast of Unleavened Bread.  Leviticus 23:6. This required the Israelites to totally cleanse their homes and lives of all mold and yeast.  And they could only eat unleavened bread for these seven days.  The old went and a new cleansed beginning came. This moed is called a feast day.

This moed has been fulfilled in the unleavened bread of Christ, the body broken for you and your total cleansing by His precious blood so that you are born again as a new creation in Christ.  I make this quite clear through My apostle Paul:

“Get rid of the old yeast, so that you may be a new unleavened batch—as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. Therefore let us keep the Festival, not with the old bread leavened with malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.”  1 Corinthians 5:6-8.

You are a new creation in Christ.  No longer puffed up with the leaven of the world and your former sinful life.

So the first two on the timeline have been fulfilled in Christ.  You are holy and blameless, cleansed of all the old yeast, in My sight.  The appointed time came, His blood cleansed you of all sin and shame.  Sin no longer has power over you for you are under grace and not the law.

The next moed is First Fruits. Leviticus 23:9-14.  This was celebrated three days after the Passover.  And the offering to be brought for the first fruits was a sheaf of the first grain of the harvest, and it was to be waved before Me by the High Priest. Leviticus 23:11.  Again, I revealed the meaning of this moed to My apostle Paul when he wrote:

“But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming.” 1 Corinthians 15:20-23.

And in the book of Leviticus, I place the Aleph Tav (את), the sign of Jesus (the first and last letter of the Hebrew alphabet, being the equivalent of the Greek letters alpha and omega) before the Word “sheaf” in case you have any doubts of how this was fulfilled and who this moed is pointing to.

So the first three moadim have been fulfilled in the fullness of time in Christ.

The fourth spring moadim is Pentecost, seven Sabbaths and one day after First Fruits, fifty days.  Leviticus 23:15-16.  This was the day I gave the Law to Moses on Mt. Sinai.  That was why so many were gathered in the City of Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost when My Spirit came to dwell in your hearts again.  And I tell you in the Book of Acts:  “And in the fulfilling of the Day of Pentecost . . .”, that is, when the day of Pentecost had fully come. Acts 2:1.  So I told you that this moed was fulfilled when My Holy Spirit was poured out to you from My throne by the risen and exalted Christ (Acts 2:33) and My promise to you made to the prophet Ezekiel was fulfilled—that I would put My Spirit in your heart and write My law in your heart and cause you to walk in My statutes.  Ezekiel 36:27.

In Hebrew what you call Pentecost, which is the Greek word, meaning fiftieth, is called Shavuot (שָׁבוּעוֹת), the plural of a word meaning “week” or “seven,” in Hebrew the singular is שֶׁבַע (sheva) meaning seven and the Word for Sabbath (Shabbat), the seventh day is  שַׁבָּ֖ת. The plural is שַׁבָּת֖וֹת. Week is like seven “שְׁבוּעַ” transliterated as shevua, to make it plural you add וֹת  what sounds like “oat” in English, Shavuot שָׁבוּעוֹת. Shavuot happens seven weeks (i.e. “a week of weeks”) after Passover. The Israelites were freed from the Egyptian bondage of slavery on Passover and after seven weeks of traveling in the desert they came to Mt. Sinai, also known as  Mt. Horeb, where Moses had first encountered Me, the living God, in the burning bush and received My assignment to take the enslaved Hebrew nation out of Egypt and lead them to the land I had promised by Covenant to Abraham and his descendants.

I made an appointment through Moses to call the people to the mountain that day where He would speak to them as His people. And He entered into Covenant with them and gave them the Ten Commandments. And that was the first Shavuot. Pentecost.

When they entered the Promised Land, the appointed day of of Shavuot also was when the Israelites offered the first of the wheat harvest and their other crops to Me as Moses had instructed them. Leviticus 23:15-22. It was a pilgrim feast where all had to come together in Jerusalem to celebrate the giving of the Law together with the harvest. They were not to come empty-handed. And that is why so many were gathered in Jerusalem when the Holy Spirit came. They were there to celebrate My love, care and bounty.

So the four spring moadim have now been fulfilled.  Then there was summer.  A time of waiting on the final harvest which would come in the Fall.

And that is where you are now. The church age. The age of grace.

But let us look at what I tell you is next on the timeline, for surely it will come at the appointed time, just as the first four have already been fulfilled.

The next moed is that of Trumpets. It is on the first day of the seventh month after Nisan.  Leviticus 23:23-25.  On that day, the Israelites were to hold a holy gathering with no laborious work, and it was a day for blowing trumpets.  Numbers 29:1.

This one has not been fulfilled yet.  I tell you when it will be—again through My apostle Paul.  He wrote: “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.” 1 Thessalonians 4:16.

This will happen at the second coming of Christ. And He will come with a trumpet blast.  And what a holy gathering that will be in the clouds of Heaven!  Yes, your labor will be over. This gathering though is only for those who are in Christ.  The others will be left behind.  They will not be caught up into the clouds and given their glorified bodies in the twinkling of an eye. 1 Corinthians 15:51-54. It is only for the believers.  It is a holy convocation.  The fullness of the gentiles will have come into the Covenant.  Romans 11:25.

That is the next moed in line.  And its time is soon.  The days are far spent.

After that will come the moed of the Day of Atonement.  This comes nine days after My moed of Trumpets. It is a day when the Israelites afflicted and humbled themselves for their sin.  It was the day the High Priest went into the Holy of Holies and offered the Blood of the sacrifice on the mercy seat to atone for the sins of the nation of Israel.  It was the day the nation of Israel returned to and reconciled with Me.

This moed will be fulfilled in the last days in the period of the great tribulation.  My wrath will fall on sinful mankind who have destroyed My earth and have destroyed others and have not believed in My Son and received His atoning death as their own to shield them from the wrath of justice. But I tell you that during those seven years of severe tribulation and wrath, that the Jews who had rejected My Son as Messiah will all be saved.  Romans 11:25-26; Revelation 7:4-8.

And now we come to the seventh and last moed on My divine timeline  and it is a feast.  Seven is the number of completion and rest.  And this moed is the most joyous moed celebrated by the Israelites.  It is a day of rejoicing.  It is the moed of Tabernacles.  And it is five days (the number of grace) after the Day of Atonement.  And it is the longest feast, being celebrated for eight days, and eight is the number of new beginnings.

During this moed, the people of Israel gathered branches of olive, wild olive, myrtle, palm, and other leafy trees to make booths (sukkot, tabernacles) for themselves to dwell in near My house in Jerusalem, in fact in the Book of Nehemiah, you see they even set up their booths in the courts of My house.  Nehemiah 8:16.  I tabernacled with you and you tabernacled with Me and it was a time of great rejoicing and celebration.  It was harvest time filled with good things. It was a pilgrim feast when all had to come to Jerusalem to be near My house, My temple. It celebrated the last, and greatest, harvest of the year. The time of the final ingathering.

Do you recognize from the book of Revelation when this moed will have its appointed time?  It is the final moed on the timeline of time and it will never end.  It is the feast of eternity.  It is when I come to dwell (tabernacle) among you.  Let My apostle John reveal it to you from what I showed him of the things to come:

Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.  And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.” And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Aleph and the Tav, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.”  Revelation 21:1-6.

And these are My moadim.  I gave them to Moses so many years ago. When I gave them none of them had reached their appointed time. But now the appointed times of the first four moadim have come and gone.  You are out of the spring moadim and waiting for the fall moadim to begin.  And there are only three left.  And they are good news of great joy for all the people who believe in My Son as Lord.

Four have been fulfilled, their time fully came, and just as surely the time will come for the final three to be fulfilled.  And I can hardly wait for the fulfillment of the moed of Tabernacles.  For then there shall be no more curse and My throne and that of the Lamb shall be in your midst lighting your world with My love and you shall rule and reign with Me forever and ever. Revelation 22:5.

Do not be unaware of the times. My Son told you not to be caught off guard.  He warned you of the things to come, “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”  Luke 21:25-28.  Have no fear, My little flock, it has pleased Me to give you the Kingdom.

I love you. Now that we have set out My timeline, in the next Life Lesson we will study the day Pentecost was fulfilled and the baptism in the Holy Spirit that My Son came to give to you.

John answered and said to them all, “As for me, I baptize you with water; but One is coming who is mightier than I, and I am not fit to untie the thong of His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” Luke 3:16.
