Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. John 15:4-5.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
The sanctified life is a life of connection to your source. I liken you to a tree planted by an underground stream that never runs dry, so that the leaves of that tree never fade, and its fruit never fails, even in times of drought and famine.
There are various ways I describe those who know Me and My Son, Jesus. I describe you as sheep, little children, and branches on a vine. And as I stated above, I also liken the one who meditates on My Word and relies on Me to a tree planted with its roots going down deep into an underground wellspring, a canal of living water.
What do all of these have in common? All have a source they can rely on for everything they need, that is, for provision, protection, wholeness (shalom), and direction.
And when I liken you to sheep, children, and branches on a vine, I also tell you who I AM to you and for you. As My little flock of sheep, I AM your Shepherd, that is one of My Covenant promise Names, and to fulfill it I have given you your great good Shepherd and in Him I have equipped you with everything you need for life and godliness.
Now the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, even Jesus our Lord, equip you in every good thing to do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen. Hebrews 13:20-21.
As little children, I am your good and gracious Father who gives you good things and will never leave you or forsake you. I will never leave you as orphans. You are Mine.
If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him! Matthew 7:11.
“Can a woman forget her nursing child and have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, but I will not forget you. Isaiah 49:15.
“I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.” John 14:18.
I will always care for you, from your mother’s womb to your old age and beyond to My eternal Kingdom.
You who have been borne by Me from birth and have been carried from the womb; even to your old age I will be the same, and even to your graying years I will bear you! I have done it, and I will carry you; and I will bear you and I will deliver you. Isaiah 46:3-4.
As branches on the vine, My Son is the vine, I am the vine keeper, the owner of the vineyard, and you are the branches attached deep within us to allow the source of divine life to flow into your mortal bodies. The sap that flows into the branches giving life, skill, and determining the fruit the branches bear is the Holy Spirit.
As sheep, I lead you by the good Shepherd and by the Holy Spirit. All you need to do is follow direction. Obedience brings the blessings for then you are on the right path to walk out the good deeds prepared for you in advance that you might have and enjoy life in all its fullness as planned for you from everlasting to everlasting.
The good Shepherd guides you in right paths for My Name’s sake, for fathers love their children to be walking in goodness and glory, for the children’s lives testify to the goodness of the Father. And those who are My children, are led by My Spirit and My Spirit gives life to your mortal body and raises you up to new life as He regenerates you in Christ.
As branches on the vine, I give you My Words so that you may remain attached by abiding in My Word and letting My Word abide in you. And My Word in you, as you cultivate it and let it grow to harvest, will produce as much as a hundredfold of the promise it contains. And you will be very fruitful because the vine, Jesus, to which you are attached lived the most fruitful life that any one ever has or ever will live.
And as trees with your roots deep down into Me, My Son pours My promise of the Holy Spirit into your wellspring in the spirit and that wellspring is leaping up to eternal life as the live stream from My throne is poured down and it will never run dry. You will take root downward and bear fruit upward. Isaiah 37:31. As your good Shepherd, My Son leads you to living waters, gives you to drink, and there I wipe every tear from your eyes. It is the anointing of joy. The Holy Spirit is the living water that regenerates, restores, and quickens and anoints you.
And with Me as your Shepherd you will be well fed with your daily bread and an abundance for every good work. You will never lack, and you will never be alone.
And the same is true with Me as your Father and Me as the vine dresser and owner of the vineyard.
And I so love you I give you who believe My only begotten Son to serve you in all those capacities so that you will never perish but have eternal life.
As sheep, children, branches on the vine, and trees planted by living waters, I make you fruitful. By abiding in Me by remaining in My Word and imitating Me as My dear children, you will be fruitful, for I am fruitful. You draw on your source and are fruitful.
I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. John 15:5.
I give you skill to be fruitful by My Word in you and on you, teaching you to profit and the way you should go.
If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples. 9 Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full. John 15:7-11.
As you draw close to Me, I draw close to you, and the closer you draw to Me the closer we become in thought, word, and deed. It is then I liken our relationship not to sheep and a Shepherd, little children and a Father, branches attached to a luxuriant vine, or a tree with its roots deep in Me and the living water of My Spirit, but to a husband and wife, a bridegroom and his bride, lovers, and friends. Closer than a family relationship where one is the disciplinarian and provider but in mature fellowship and partnership where we make decisions together being likeminded and understanding of one another in a flow of honor, loyalty, and love. This is Heaven on earth. For you reign with Me in Heaven. And you reign in life with Me by receiving the abundance of grace I have supplied for you in Jesus and the gift of righteousness that is yours in Him as well.
And it is then you are no longer in the role of a sheep following the Shepherd, but the great good Shepherd entrusts you with His sheep to shepherd them as well. You still seek His guidance but with His guidance you feed and guide those I entrust to you to lead on right paths for My Name’s sake.
And it is then that you are no longer only a branch upon the vine, but you become a branch office, drawing others to join with you in fruitful works with direction from the “home office” by the wonderful Counselor who dwells in you as a temple of the Holy Spirit on earth.
I am your source. You have no reason to worry, you are not your own source. When you are provided with unlimited funds, you do not worry about lack. This takes a tremendous burden off your shoulders, for I have put all dominion on My Son’s shoulders. The burden of provision is too hard for any to bear, and yet many are out scrounging as they search for food and water, they just do not know their source, or I would give them rivers of living water flowing into and out of them to a thirsty world. And there would always be an abundance for every good work.
And when you know your source is unlimited, you become generous, knowing you will never lack.
And for this reason, I say to you DO NOT BE WORRIED about your life, past, present, or future, I have you covered and I am more than enough in every arena of your life. I am El Shaddai (Shaddai means enough, an abundant source that provides all).
Do not worry about your body for I am your healer and My Word is life to you who find it and health to all your flesh. Follow My directions in caring for your body both spiritually and physically and you will work in good health as you walk in the truth, it will prosper your soul and work out to all your flesh.
Do not worry that you will not have clothing, I clothe you in beauty and majesty. For the forty years My people wandered in the desert neither their clothes nor their shoes ever wore out and their feet did not swell.
And do not worry about having the food and water you need. Remember that My people even when My people were out in the wilderness of a desert I rained down bread from Heaven every morning and a double portion the day before Shabbat, I caused quail to fly in and land around the camp, and water gushed out of dry, flinty rocks, enough for over two million people and their herds and flocks!
And I fed their hearts with My Word, spoken and written, for you do not live on physical food alone to be healthy and prosperous but upon every Word that proceeds from My mouth. For life is much more than just physical food and the body much more than mere outward clothing. Though I have you covered there too when you walk in My ways of truth and life.
“Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life? And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin, yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith! Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing?’ For the unbelievers eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:25-33.
Know that I am there for you within and without.
Let Me show you your dream, let Me give you the plan, let Me lead you today to your promised land! Don’t have any fear, I am always here! At your side within and without, I have compassed you about, making your life beautiful and new, singing My songs with you, singing My songs in you.
And they are love songs. They are songs of deliverance and victory. They are the songs of Salvation—the great and eternal song of the Lamb that only the redeemed know.
Then He brought them out laden with silver and gold, and among His tribes there was not one feeble who stumbled. Egypt was glad when they departed, for the dread of them had fallen upon them. He spread a cloud for a covering, and fire to illumine by night. They asked, and He brought quail, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven. He opened the rock and water flowed out; it ran in the dry places like a river. For He remembered His holy Word with Abraham His servant; and He brought forth His people with joy, His chosen ones with joyful singing and a joyful shout. Psalm 105:37-43.
I love you. I am your Shepherd, your source, and your supply, but above all, for you who have made Covenant with Me in My Son, I am your husband, your lover, your friend, and your forever Father. I have sworn to never leave you or forsake you, to increase you, and to bless you. And I cannot lie.
