Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with thanksgiving. Colossians: 4:2.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:

The sanctified life is a life at rest in Me, but not sleeping, you are alert at all times, keeping watch for the hour of the second coming of Jesus.

Be on the alert then, for you do not know the day nor the hour. Matthew 25:12.

Be on guard but never be worried or afraid. The watchman keeps watch so that trouble can be addressed immediately lest the citizens be caught unaware before they can take measures to repel the attack.

Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world. 1 Peter 5:8-9.

Throughout the Bible, I caution you to be alert, which includes not being sluggish about receiving My promises and all that is yours in Christ Jesus.

And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence so as to realize the full assurance of hope until the end, so that you will not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. Hebrews 6:11-12.

I do not want you to be unaware of the devil’s tactics, for you have an adversary and he is watching you, so you should be watching him first for you have the upper hand. I have given you the authority of My Son, who crushed his head.

Be on guard, so that your hearts will not be weighted down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that day will not come on you suddenly like a trap; for it will come upon all those who dwell on the face of all the earth. Luke 21:34-35.

So how do you guard your heart? How do you stay alert? By prayer.

“But keep on the alert at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.” Luke 21:36.

But not fearful, doubting, begging prayer. NO. That goes nowhere. I am specific about this and you should govern your own prayers by this as well:

Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with thanksgiving. Colossians: 4:2.

THE DEVIL CANNOT TAKE WHAT YOU ARE GRATEFUL FOR.

Basically if you are grateful for your life, for Me, and for My Word, the devil can take nothing from you. He works on people who do not think they have what they need. He works on people who are not grateful. He works on people that do not value what they have enough to guard it. And how does he succeed? He works hard to make people in general, and believers in particular, doubt My goodness, My provision, and My willingness to heal, protect, and prosper them. If he can make you doubt Me and My Word, he can steal your life away because he can use you to do his will to destroy yourself and others. And that is what he did to Adam and Eve and that is what he will try to do to you.

That is why I tell you to submit to Me, resist the devil, and then he will have to flee from you.

What does it mean to submit to Me? What does it mean to submit to anyone? You agree with what they are saying and asking you to do. Submission is NOT surrender. You are forced to surrender by an enemy who has greater power and can hold you down. But you submit to training, exams, mentoring, programs, organizations, that you wish to join or partner with to obtain an advantage. You submit to the jurisdiction of the courts so that you can bring your case there and have the Judge do justice for you. You submit to the jurisdiction of a country to have its protection and benefits.

You surrender if overpowered to gain nothing but captivity and slavery.

Listen now, and try to understand. I made you and I will take care of you. Your part is to not let your heart be troubled or afraid. Enjoy everything I have given you, a thankful heart is a cheerful heart and a cheerful heart does good like medicine. The safest place to be is in My presence because in My presence there’s fullness of joy. Bring everything to Me and trust Me to take care of it.

A thankful heart will never run away with evil. A thankful heart is a loyal heart.

My eyes go to and fro across the earth looking for those whose hearts are towards Me. For what am I looking? Thankful hearts. Thankful people are not quitters, they will not let go of the people and things that they are grateful for. And they are alert to protect those things and people for which they are thankful.

And that is why I am so alert to watch over you. I am thankful for you. You are My own special treasure. I never leave you or forsake you.

My desire from the beginning has been to bless you and increase you more and more. Be alert to My blessings and never reject them because you are questioning Me as to why something that seems contrary to My Will has occurred in your life. If you look back and check you will find I tried to warn you and stop you from what hurt you but that you were slow to hear and did not take what I told you to do to heart and did not do it. But if you only repent, return, and rejoice then I can restore better than before and bless you to be a blessing to every family in the world. Like Abraham. He was grateful and he never left Me no matter what anyone said or did.

Let Me by your forever Father and take care of you forever.

Be alert and be aware for I am there with you. That is My Name: Yahavah Shammah. The LORD is there (with you)).

Yahavah (יהוה) Shammah (שָֽׁמָּה). I AM there. The word in Hebrew meaning “there” is the word sham (שם) and the word for “name” is shem (שם). They are formed of the same two letters, the shin and the mem, but the vowel sound is different. But it tells you about where I AM. For where two or three have gathered together in My NAME, I AM THERE in their midst. Matthew 18:20.

When I revealed Myself and My host to Jacob at Luz in a dream as a ladder between Me and earth by which divine visitation came about, he set up a memorial stone and changed the name of the place from Luz to Beth-El (house of God) saying, “Surely the LORD is in this place, and I did not know it.” He was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.” Genesis 28:16-17. An awesome place. Ha Makom (the place of rising). And this became the place where I put My Name.

After coming down on Mt. Sinai and speaking My commandments to the Israelites, I told Moses to make an altar of earth for Me, and to sacrifice on it burnt offerings and peace offerings, sheep and oxen; in every place where I cause My Name to be remembered, I will come to you and bless you. Exodus 20:24.

I love you. Stay alert with thanksgiving in prayer. Rely on Me and you will never be disappointed. I am there for you. Always.
