But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. Psalm 3:3.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
The sanctified life is a life lived in purity of vision. What am I talking about? Lifting your eyes higher, for I am the lifter of your head. Never lose the Kingdom over the fleeting joys of sin. Never put the temporal ahead of the eternal and your temporal will become suppled like the eternal.
But when these things begin to take place straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near. Luke 21:28.
My Son told you this about the signs of His return, which are certainly becoming more and more prevalent now, but it does not only apply to the end of this age, it applies to you today. In all trials you have a redeemer, a deliverer, and out of all trials I deliver the righteous. And you are righteous in Christ Jesus, so My blessing is upon you. Proverbs 10:6.
A believer should never be walking around slumped over and defeated. You should not be dragging your feet and hanging your head. You are more than a conqueror in Christ. I have given you the victory through Christ Jesus and in Him I always cause you to triumph.
Expect this. If you really believe My Word you will be excited.
I am a shield around you, your glory, and I have lifted up your head. Psalm 3:3-4. Look up at Me and smile, your face shall never be ashamed. Psalm 34:6.
Do not act depressed and weak. Do not drag yourself out of bed and to work. People should see that twinkle in your eye and that lilt of joy in your step. They should not see a slumped defeated victim whose life has been crushed and dreams broken, but rather a victor filled with life, vigor and joy—excited about the future—who bears fruit even in old age.
You should be like a trained warrior, football star, or prize boxer who cannot wait for the battle to prove his mettle. Be like the horse trained for war who at the first sound of the trumpet is chaffing at the bit to get into the fray.
Give the battle cry—or rather, give the victory shout! Make merry as one does when dividing spoils from the defeated foe.
When the curse rears its ugly head in your life shut it down immediately in the Name of My Son, the blood of the Lamb, and by the Word of your testimony or when the devil tries to knock you down, resist him and he will have to take flight. You have the Blood of the Lamb and the Word of your testimony to win every battle. You have the weapon that is sharper than any two edged sword! You have the Word at your disposal that upholds the universe. You have all power in My Word confessed with faith and acted upon. I speak of the Word of faith that is in your heart and in your mouth.
I am the lifter of your head. I have clothed you in Christ. I have showered you with grace. I have cleansed you in the Blood of Christ. I have given you My Spirit in your heart and My Word in your mouth. I have seated you in heavenly places in Christ with the devil and all his demons beneath your feet.
Your life is hidden now in Christ and He is powerful! Greater is He that is in you than he who is in the world.
Why would you go around with your head hanging in defeat? Get up and straighten up.
So the LORD said to Joshua, “Rise up! Why is it that you have fallen on your face? Joshua 7:10.
I have lifted up your head. And My power in you can do immeasurably more than all you can ask or imagine, according to My power that is at work within you who have faith and are filled with My Word.
Be like My servant David. When he faced the formidable Goliath, he declared the victory before the battle even began. And he had it against all odds. The impossible happened.
Your life may look like certain defeat but you have a weapon that no one can take exception to or contradict. And that is My Word believed in your heart and spoken with your mouth.
Please do not think that I do not sympathize with your weaknesses and My Son knows full well what you are going through for He went through every pain and sorrow and bore all of yours also. I know there are trials and it is hard being away from your true home with Me. I hear your cries and I answer. I have stored all your tears in My flask. When the Israelites cried out to Me in their slavery in Egypt, I answered their cry and came down to save them.
When the poor man cries out I hear him and save him. I lift you out of the mud of your swamp and place your feet on a height and put a new song in your mouth. Faith, cry and rely! That will bring you through any trial. So much so that you will be able to say with James: “Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patient endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and totally complete, lacking in nothing.” James 1:2-3.
I will never leave you or forsake you. Say “amen” to that and let it be in your heart and in your mouth that you are never alone but that I am with you always to do good to you and not evil and to give you a future and a hope. Rest in that and smile at the future.
Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she smiles at the future. She opens her mouth in wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. Proverbs 31:25-26.
Just as I told Abraham, your father in the faith, I now say to you who have faith: I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you. Genesis 12:2-3.
And I credited Abraham’s faith to him as righteousness. And that is the primary blessing of Abraham. Righteousness by faith in Jesus.
And in Christ you are redeemed from the curse of the law and receive the Blessing of Abraham and the Promise of the Spirit. If you are in Christ you are a descendant of Abraham and receive the promised Blessing. Galatians 3:13-14, 29.
Yes, I have lifted up your head, for just as Mary, the Mother of Jesus, said: “He who is mighty has done great things for Me,” and “He has lifted up the humble.” Luke 1:49, 52.
I take the beggar out of the ash heap and seat him with princes. Psalm 113:7-8. I took Moses from watching his father-in-law’s sheep, hidden from the eyes of the world, and made him the most powerful man of his time. He devastated an empire, parted the Red Sea, received the Law, and led more than a million people through a barren desert to the Promised Land. And he and the people he led experienced no lack.
I raised David from an insignificant shepherd boy to a mighty king surpassing all others in victory and prosperity.
I raised Daniel from a prisoner of war to a top counselor and government official in three succeeding enemy empires.
I raised Ruth from a life of poverty and toil with no hope of descendants to a position of honor and wealth with descendants, one of whom was Jesus Christ according to the flesh. I could go on and on.
And I am the same yesterday, today and forever and I will do the same for anyone who dares to believe Me and refuses to go around slumped, sorrowful, and hanging their head in defeat.
Stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is here.
And how do you stand? I tell you in My Word: Be strong in Me and in My mighty power. Put on the full armor that I give you, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For your struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor I give you, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is My Word. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. Ephesians 6:10-18.
So next time everything looks so dark and hopeless and the tears are filling your eyes, let Me put My hand under your chin and lift up your head until you can gaze in the loving eyes that are always upon you and smile. Your face will never be ashamed. Know that I am the God of all comfort and I will comfort you. Cast your cares on Me because I care for you. Enough to send My Son to die for you. So do not worry, it has pleased Me to give you the Kingdom. Just relax and receive it. I am well pleased in you. I love you because you love Jesus. I am so happy you appreciate what He has done for you and the great gift of love I gave you in Him.
I love you. Make sure you have your armor on every day. In fact, like a good soldier on duty, do not ever take it off. You do not know when the enemy may come with a surprise attack. Be prepared. And hold your head high. I have lifted you up.
