My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments; for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you. Proverbs 3:1-3.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
The sanctified life is a long satisfying life. It is lived for length of days. To the one who knows My Name, to the one who clings to Me, to the one who keeps My Word, with orekh yamim (length of days) I satisfy him, and cause him to look upon My Yeshuah (Salvation – Jesus). Psalm 91:14-16.
Length of days, in Hebrew “orekh yamim,” speaks of a satisfying and long life– days filled with good things and a life surrounded with compassion and love. Days filled with favor and grace. Days filled with good health, prosperity and peace. And if you study My Word you will find I speak of giving you length of days in the context of you hearing and keeping My Word and abiding in Me. Length of days come in the right hand of wisdom from on high.
And I told the Israelites they could lengthen their days enjoying the good of the land if they were devoted to My Word—if they kept it before their eyes, guarded it in their hearts, spoke it constantly over themselves and their children, and walked in it day and night. Deuteronomy 11:9.
My Word gives you wisdom and is wisdom.
And I have revealed to you that all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are in Christ Jesus, My Son and your Messiah and Lord. My Word made flesh. And He is wisdom to you.
But there is more.
In the book of Deuteronomy I reveal to the Israelites through Moses that I AM your life and your length of days. Yes, I sustain you and My Spirit in you gives life to your mortal body. I am your very life, but there is even more than that. It is not just about a long satisfying physical life of the highest quality and abundance in this world—it is really about eternal life starting now. Days of heaven on earth. Deuteronomy 11:21.
In Psalm 91 I reveal to you the mystery ahead of time—I tell you that to those who know My Name and cling to Me, I will give length of days and show them—cause them to gaze upon, make them see– My Yeshuah. And Yeshuah is the Name of My Son, which means “Salvation.” For I, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” am the One who has shone in your hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of My glory in the face of Christ, so you all with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror My glory, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:18, 2 Corinthians 4:6.
Jesus is your good Shepherd that gives you the abundant life. He gives you eternal life. Eternal life is in Him. If you have received Him, you have passed from death to life.
If you believe in Him, you have eternal life. And how is that? This mystery once hidden but now revealed: Christ in you, your hope of glory.
Let My Son explain this to you as He did to Martha the day He raised her brother Lazarus from the dead though Lazarus had been in the tomb four days. Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die.” John 11:25-26.
And that is true length of days. Days without number, years without end, time immemorial with Me as your friend, I am your God, I am calling to you, come live in the light of My love.
My beloved David put it this way: “Surely goodness and grace (lovingkindness, favor, mercy—chesed) shall follow me all the days of my life and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD for length of days (orekh yamim).” Psalm 23:6.
Your Father’s house for length of days—and I am your Father forever. Jesus is preparing a place for you and will come back to take you with Him so that you may be where He is and see the glory prepared for you since the foundation of the world.
Come share My joy in the celebration that lasts forever—for length of days.
I love you. Cling to My Word and you cling to Me. And I am your life and length of days. I promised you eternal life before the world began. And all My promises are yours in Jesus.
