Consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you; each of you is to return to your family property and to your own clan. Leviticus 25:10.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלוהים) says:

Jubilee! A year of favor, a year of grace! A time of forgiveness, restoration, and regeneration!

I first introduced the year of jubilee to Moses in the wilderness on the way to the promised land. The people I had redeemed out of Egypt understood slavery, they, and their forefathers, after the pharaohs no longer remembered Joseph and began to fear the strength of the Hebrew people in their midst, knew nothing but a lifestyle of slavery, which was a lifestyle of toil and cruel affliction, with no freedom in making decisions for your future in any major way. I did not any of them to return to the oppression of slavery a second time when I had brought them out of it with such tremendous signs, wonders and miracles of grace. I wanted to plant them in the land I had promised Abraham that I would give to his descendants to be a nation of prosperous, fruitful, blessed, and independent people united as one with Me living a life of good deeds that I had prepared for them in advance. I wanted none of them to oppress another through usury, slavery, or deprivation of their allotment of land.

And that was what the Jubilee was about.

I gave mankind dominion over the earth and authority over the works of My hands and I blessed you to be fruitful and creative from the day I made you. Thus slavery is an intolerable state to be in for your nature. I want you free to be the wonderful and amazing you I made you to be.

Adam made you all slaves to sin and death and subjected you to toil when he used his freedom of choice to choose death instead of life and to know evil and not only good. Be careful you do not continue his legacy, which you are under according to your natural birth, but that you come to be born again from above as a new creation in Christ. You have JUBILEE in Jesus. A year of amnesty, a year of favor, a year of increase, a time to turn slaves into prosperous people. I wanted no poor to be in their land.

He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. He stood up to read, and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written: “The Spirit of the Lord LORD is on Me, because he has anointed Me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners, to bind up the brokenhearted, and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him. He began by saying to them, “Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.” Luke 4:16-21; Isaiah 61:1-2.

He announced that He was ushering in the Jubilee year. But not only the poor made rich with the debts gone and lands returned, the oppressed set free, but also I added more, the healing of the lame, the blind and the broken hearted.

I sent Jesus to undo the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8. And that is what Jubilee is all about. The restoration of your land to you, the Garden of Eden. Adam lost it and owed Me a tremendous debt. Jesus, your kinsman redeemer and Jubilee, bought it all back for you. You could not pay so He did.

Now if the [ac]means of a stranger or of a sojourner with you becomes sufficient, and a countryman of yours becomes so poor with regard to him as to sell himself to a stranger who is sojourning with you, or to the descendants of a stranger’s family, then he shall have redemption right after he has been sold. One of his brothers may redeem him, or his uncle, or his uncle’s son, may redeem him, or one of his blood relatives from his family may redeem him. Leviticus 25:47-49.

Now let us look at the first instructions I gave Moses for My people concerning the amazing year of Jubilee. No nation had ever known the like of it before or since. It was My idea for My thoughts are higher than your thoughts and My ways than your ways. I am a generous giver and in the year of Jubilee I was teaching My people many things, but I also was teaching them to be generous with their fellow man by forgiving debts, releasing slaves (and not sending them away empty handed), returning lands to the original owners, and opening their fields to the poor for the Jubilee year.

“Count off seven sabbath years—seven times seven years—so that the seven sabbath years amount to a period of forty-nine years. Then have the trumpet sounded everywhere on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the Day of Atonement sound the trumpet throughout your land. Consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you; each of you is to return to your family property and to your own clan. The fiftieth year shall be a jubilee for you; do not sow and do not reap what grows of itself or harvest the untended vines. For it is a jubilee and is to be holy for you; eat only what is taken directly from the fields. In this Year of Jubilee everyone is to return to their own property.” Leviticus 25:8-13.

It was the year to be made whole with no payment on your part. And they were not to gather the produce of the field that grew up that year into barns, but they were to take what they needed directly from the fields, fresh each day and just what they needed. Plus not only did I give them the growth of the fields but, just as for the Sabbatical year I so ordered My blessing in the sixth year that it fields brought forth a bumper crop that was enough for three years in one year (like I did with the crops the seven years of plenty in Egypt under Joseph to prepare for the seven years of famine), so in the sixth year before the Jubilee, I gave them double double, for there was first the Sabbatical year and then the Jubilee immediately followed.

I gave them the increase of generosity. They gave freedom and provision to others, and I rewarded them with more than enough—all sufficiency for themselves and an abundance for every good work.

And I very carefully planned that the opening of the Jubilee year. The trumpet blasted on the Day of Atonement to announce the Jubilee. The Day of Atonement was the yearly calling to mind of the sins of the people and the nation when the scapegoat and the goat designated for Me made atonement by substitution for the sins of the people and gave them another year of being credited with righteousness. This is fulfilled in Jesus atoning for your sins on the cross and releasing you from the slavery to sin and death and paying your debts to Me off in full, nailing them to the Cross. He is your Jubilee.

When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions, having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him. Colossians 2:13-15.

The year of Jubilee was to be a year of rejoicing! A year of restoration! Families reunited on their ancestral lands freed from debt and fear of oppression. All made whole and all restored. No one missing, no one broken, and no one alone. And in Jesus, your kinsman redeemer, I have given you all the double double of the the Jubilee, grace on top of grace. And all who receive the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness will reign in life through Christ Jesus.

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich. 2 Corinthians 8:9.

Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. Romans 8:1-4.

The year of Jubilee was a year of unmerited favor and grace for all My people in the land I had given them to richly enjoy. And I wanted all to enjoy it from the least to the greatest. And Jubilee taught them that it was not by human might or power that the blessing worked wonders of provision and prosperity in their land but by My Spirit.

And that is the story of your life, it is the story of Jubilee, you are beloved, forgiven, blessed, and favored. In Jesus, you have not only the double portion of the firstborn, of the Shabbat, and of the Sabbatical year but the DOUBLE DOUBLE of the Jubilee. It has pleased Me to give you the Kingdom and that is more than you can ask or imagine, it has to do with the unfathomable riches of Christ. And I so loved you, I gave Him to you. He is your Shabbat and your Jubilee. Forever.

I love you. Jesus announced that He was opening the year of Jubilee that day in the synagogue in Nazareth, and it still is the Jubilee. Now is the acceptable time! Now is the day of Salvation (Yeshuah). Go out and tell the good news so that everyone can come and take advantage of the Jubilee year to be forgiven, restored, and abundantly blessed. Blow the trumpet! Do not miss your visitation and try not to let anyone else miss it either.
