There are six things which the LORD hates, yes, seven which are an abomination to Him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that run rapidly to evil, a false witness who utters lies, and one who spreads strife among brothers. Proverbs 6:16-19.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלוהים) says:
The anointing is holy, sacred, and precious, beyond price. It makes your life stand out above the crowd. It puts you in the flow of Heaven. It puts you in a place of shalom peace. It is the plan I have for your life as a priest, prophet, and king, reigning in life through, with, and in Jesus the Anointed One.
The anointing makes you a partaker of My divine nature for the anointing is My love poured into your heart by the gift of the Holy Spirit, who is the anointer and the anointing. The anointing is My life and skill in you to empower you to will and to do your high calling in Christ.
So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure. Philippians 2:12-13.
The world, the flesh, and the devil will try to steal and kill your anointing, which will then destroy your life. You must guard your anointing. The anointed priest, the anointed prophet, and the anointed king were consecrated and set apart as belonging to Me and were not to behave like other men.
Do all things without grumbling or disputing; so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life. Philippians 2:14-16.
There are three basic guards you must have in place to keep the anointing flowing freely into your heart to produce amazing and skillful works in the beauty of holiness. Let Me name them and I think you will recognize them as opposite to three of the things I tell you that I hate. I will put them down and then I will go more deeply into each guard over the anointing in your heart, for you do not want to grieve or quench the Holy Spirit and put out your anointed lamp, for the bridegroom is coming soon.
- Lips that speak My Word.
- A heart that keeps My Word.
- Feet that run rapidly to do My Word.
Do you recall what things I told you that I hate? And I hate them because they hurt you, demean you, and destroy you. The anointing lifts the burden and destroys the yoke of the enemy, but these three things will increase the burden and enforce the yoke of the enemy:
- A lying tongue.
- A heart that devises wicked plans.
- Feet that run rapidly to evil.
Provers 6:16-18.
Jesus, the Anointed One, only spoke My Words for He knew My Words contained eternal life. He spoke My Words and did My Works and His feet were the beautiful feet of the One who brings good news. He was swift to do My Will, it was His delight. My Will prospered in His hand. Isaiah 53:10. His heart was a sacred sanctuary for Me and the Spirit. His thoughts were holy unto to Me, just like the gold plate stated hanging on the forehead of the High Priest attached to his turban by blue cords. His heart was pure, beautiful beyond all you can imagine, and He shares His heart with you. When I gave you My Son, I gave you His heart, but in Him, I gave you My heart, for in seeing Him you see Me in action among you and He and I are one, and in Him you become one with us. Guard your anointing from attack.
I told Jeremiah to protect the prophetical anointing on his heart and mouth to speak My Words to the people by keeping his lips from speaking the profane, the vile, and then speaking the holy that is from My Words.
Therefore, thus says the LORD, “If you return, then I will restore you, before Me you will stand; and if you extract the precious from the worthless, you will become My spokesman. Jeremiah 15:19.
Avoid worldly idle godless chatter. It is profane and leads to sin. It will defile you and stop the flow of the anointing for it grieves the Holy Spirit within you.
Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. But avoid worldly and empty chatter, for it will lead to further ungodliness, and their talk will spread like gangrene. 2 Timothy 2:15-17.
Both blessing and cursing should not be coming out of your mouth. A thorn bush cannot produce grapes. Foul water does not pour out fresh water.
When I anointed Isaiah as My prophet to the people, My angel took an ember from the golden altar of incenses before My throne and touched his lips with it to cleanse his unclean lips and make him a conduit of My prophetic utterances. And he was, he prophesied about the life of Jesus from His birth to His death on the cross and on to the resurrection and the coming of the new heavens and the new earth where righteousness dwells.
What cleans your mouth and keeps it clean is speaking My Words. They are not idle words, they are your very life. Keeping them in your heart shows Me your love and openness to Me and I come to make My abode with you with My Son and My Spirit. Those who love Me obey My Word and I love them and pour more of My love into them so that the flow of the anointing increases without limit. I give My Spirit without limit to those who speak My Words.
For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for He gives the Spirit without measure. John 3:35.
Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal in his hand, which he had taken from the altar with tongs. He touched my mouth with it and said, “Behold, this has touched your lips; and your iniquity is taken away and your sin is atoned for.” Then I [Isaiah] heard the voice of the Lord (Adonai), saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!” Isaiah 6:6-8.
As with all My promises and gifts, you receive the anointing though Jesus, He baptizes you in the Holy Spirit and fire. He is the bridegroom for whom your lamps burn brightly filled with the anointing oil of the Holy Spirit, Melchizedek.
As for you, the anointing which you received from Him [Jesus] abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him. 1 John 2:27.
You received the anointing from Jesus, your great High Priest, and it is the same anointing He has pouring from the head into every member of the body. This anointing abides in you and is with you always. There is also the anointing that comes upon you for ministry. The anointing within you guides and leads you, gives you skill and wisdom for your daily life, for your daily assignments. The Spirit is one and the same and all the gifts He bestows come from the anointing within and without. There are the extraordinary gifts that are given when needed for the benefit of all and the gifts in the members of the body for their assignments at all times. 1 Corinthians 12. These are all of the anointing. But more about these in the Life Lessons to come.
But let us go back to the passage of the anointing. 1 John 2:27.
You receive the anointing from Jesus for He is the One who baptizes you in the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit baptizes you into Jesus by regeneration by the Word and then Jesus, who received the promise of the Spirit from Me when He sat down at My right hand having purified you from sin, was anointed as High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek, and then as the Head of the body, He poured the anointing down upon the body of believers, the church.
“If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. After a little while the world will no longer see Me, but you will see Me; because I live, you will live also. John 14:15-19.
Jesus did not leave you orphans, He gave you the gift of My promise of the Holy Spirit being in you and with you forever. And He is the Spirit of Sonship.
For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!” The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ. Romans 8:14-17.
Both under the Old and the New Covenants, the anointing is only for those who are in Covenant with Me, for My family in the faith, the household of faith. I so loved the world that I gave My only Son so that all who believe in Him will never perish but have eternal life. But the gift of the Holy Spirit, the gift of the anointing, is only for those who have believed and received My Word into their hearts. All can receive Jesus but the Holy Spirit, the world cannot receive, for it neither sees the Spirit nor knows the Spirit. The gift of a new heart replacing your stony heart into which I pour My Spirit is only for those in the New and Everlasting Covenant of Love.
Until Jesus came it was My promise, but when Jesus came and purified you of sin and gave His life that you might live through Him, your spirits were born again to life from above rather than death from below, alive to Me and dead to sin, for when He died to sin so did you and when I raised Him to new life, I raised you with Him, and then the promise was fulfilled in reality. You are anointed, you who have confessed Him as Lord and believed that I raised Him from the dead with all your sins gone by the power of the anointing, the Holy Spirit!
May the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe in accordance with the working of the strength of His might which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. Ephesians 1:17-23.
I love you and have poured out My love into your hearts by the gift of the Holy Spirit. And that is the anointing. The anointing is My love in your heart. And that is POWER, wonder working power. It raised Jesus, and you, from the dead and lifted you up My right hand in Heaven. A place of glory, which is My power working by love to produce good. And that is what the anointing is about. Goodness and lovingkindness flooding the world by you working the works Jesus did and greater. You have the same anointing in and on you. It is time you did something with all that wonder-working power! GUARD IT by keeping your lips speaking My Word, your heart keeping My Word, and your feet running rapidly to do My Word.
