And He saw that there was no man and was astonished that there was no one to intercede; then His own arm brought salvation to Him, and His righteousness upheld Him. He put on righteousness like a breastplate and a helmet of salvation on His head. Isaiah 59:16-17.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלוהים) says:

I am your source and your supply, that is the name I gave Abraham to tell him who I am: El Shaddai. I am enough, I am all you need for everything. Seek My Kingdom first and My righteousness and everything is added to you besides. Added, not subtracted, and I say “added” because you already have the best of all in Jesus so on top of that foundation all else is addition and multiplication. With Him I give you all good things. In blessing I shall bless you and in increasing, I shall increase you. And all this more and more in every way. That is shalom, the whole pie of abundant life and not just a piece. And I know the plans I have for you, for your shalom and not evil, to give you a future and a hope, both now and forever. Unending supply from El Shaddai.

And the way I supply all your needs is according to My riches in Christ Jesus in glory. All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are in Him, who is My Word, and you access them in Him as a branch attached to a vine receiving His life in you by the Holy Spirit poured in your heart.

Why Jesus? He is your hero. A hero is one who rescues those in danger at his own peril. I tell you that the Name of the child born to you, the Son given you, is wonderful, counselor, GOD HERO (El Gibbor), Father forever, prince of peace.

For a child is born to us, a Son is given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, God Hero, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace. Isaiah 9:6-7.

I sent My strong arm down to save you on a rescue mission. No one in the world qualified so I had to do it Myself, but it had to be a kinsman redeemer and a spotless sin offering, one just like you in all things but sin. He had to give an eternal life in the flesh for the eternal life that you lost. And no one born of the corrupted seed of Adam had an eternal life to give for the one you lost. A life for a life is the standard, is the law. There was no one could pay back what you owed. You would have to die the death of the sentence of sin.

And He saw that there was no man and was astonished that there was no one to intercede; then His own arm brought salvation to Him, and His righteousness upheld Him. He put on righteousness like a breastplate and a helmet of salvation on His head. Isaiah 59:16-17.

I needed another Adam in the sense that your redeemer had to be a man like you, but created from the imperishable seed of My Word, which is truth, with an eternal life in the flesh to give for the one Adam “murdered” in all of you by submitting to the lies of the devil above the truth of My Word. He took a new master, father, and lord. A mere creature had become your shepherd to hell. And Adam was born again from life to death, from perishable seed, lies are perishable, they are not eternal. They will fall under the truth. And once Adam chose lies over the truth, it changed his nature and that of all mankind, for all were born of his seed, from life to death.

You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. John 8:44.

I refer to Jesus as “My arm,” in many places in the Old Testament in foretelling of the Messiah, the anointed One, the “God Hero,” who would come to save you from the slavery of sin and death. The One who would be just like Me but of your own flesh, thus redeeming you and being able to sympathize with your weaknesses. The perfect sacrifice, the perfect High Priest, the perfect intercessor, and the perfect Shepherd. I was in Him reconciling the world to Myself. It please Me to make all the fullness of the godhead reside in Him bodily.

Therefore Jesus is able also to save to the uttermost forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. Hebrews 7:25.

And you will notice when He came down to save you, I clothed Him in power from on High, and you will see He had My armor on: He put on righteousness like a breastplate and a helmet of salvation on His head. Isaiah 59:17.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.  Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; in all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit. Ephesians 6:10-18.

The night is almost gone, and the day is near. Therefore let us lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. Romans 13:12.

But since we are of the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation. 1 Thessalonians 5:8.

Let us now consider Jesus as My arm extended from Heaven to earth to bring about your salvation and give you eternal life. For My hand feeds you and takes care of all your needs.

The LORD has bared His holy arm in the sight of all the nations, that all the ends of the earth may see the salvation (Yeshuah) of our God. Isaiah 52:10.

It was by My outstretched harm that I redeemed you out of slavery to sin and death with great judgments. Yes, I judged your sins on My Son and the wrath of divine justice fell on Him so that you are saved.

“I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you from their bondage. I will also redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments. Then I will take you for My people, and I will be your God; and you shall know that I am the LORD your God who brought you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. I will bring you to the land which I swore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and I will give it to you for a possession; I am the LORD.” Exodus 6:6-8.

He was judged, beaten, scourged, spat on, ridiculed, and pierced through for all the sins ever committed though He had not done one. He restored what He did not steal.

Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed? . . . Surely He took up our illnesses and grief, and bore our sorrows and pains, yet we considered Him punished by God, stricken by Him, and afflicted. But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace (shalom) was on Him, and by His bloody scourging we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. . . Because He poured out his life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors. For he bore the sin of many and made intercession for the transgressors. Isaiah 53:1, 4-6, 12.

And now look at what I say about Jesus once He came into the world according to the flesh, My arm took flesh and in Him I came down to save you. We are One. In His hand you are in Mine.

Namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them. 2 Corinthians 5:19.

God made Jesus who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5:21.

In My Son, I have set you free.

If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. . . I say to you, everyone who commits sin is the slave of sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son does remain forever. So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:31-32, 34-36.

He is your redeemer and He is the way you come to Me by entering Covenant with Him. Once you enter Covenant with Him, all He has is yours and all you have is His. And I have given Jesus everything. So everything is yours in Him. And when you have Him, you have My Word and My Spirit and that will take care of everything for you in your life now and forever.

A Redeemer will come to Zion, and to those who turn from transgression in Jacob,” declares the LORD. “As for Me, this is My covenant with them,” says the LORD: “My Spirit which is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your seed, nor from the mouth of your seed’s seed,” says the LORD, “from now and forever.” Isaiah 59:20-21.

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. John 3:16-17.

Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself.” Acts 2:38-39.

The sword of the LORD is filled with blood, it is sated with fat, with the blood of lambs and goats. Isaiah 34:6.

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4:12.

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Ephesians 6:17.

And along this same line, I want to point out to you more Scriptures which testify to the Divine Nature of My Son. Colossians 2:9. By the inspiration of My Spirit the prophet Jeremiah wrote:

“Behold, the days are coming,” declares the LORD, “When I will raise up for David a righteous Branch; and He will reign as king and act wisely and do justice and righteousness in the land. “In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely; and this is His name by which He will be called, ‘the LORD our righteousness.’ Jeremiah 23: 5-6.

Again you see the divinity of the seed entrusted to the line of David, 1 Chronicles 17:11-14, My Son, and One God with Me. Here He is called the LORD your Righteousness.  LORD is My personal Name that I first disclosed to Moses from the burning bush. Exodus 3:14.  I give My Name to no other. Isaiah 48:11, Exodus 34:14; Acts 4:12. There is no other God but Me. Deuteronomy 4:35. And yet, here I say the King I shall establish of David’s line who will save Israel is named the LORD your Righteousness.  You must understand the full meaning of this to know just who My Son is and why you need Him, why you need to know Him to be saved from the wrath to come, like the Blood of the Passover Lamb upon the doorposts of the Israelite’s households so that the destroyer did not touch them. Exodus 12:13; Romans 5:9.

Now this passage foretells that I would reconcile you to Myself through Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:19. Your sins and offenses, the curse that came to the earth through the sin of Adam, separated us. Romans 5:12-19. We needed reconciliation. Romans 5:10. I am righteous. Psalm 7:9; Psalm 50:6; Psalm 92:15. No one can fellowship with Me unless they are also righteous, otherwise there can be no unity between us, My Spirit cannot dwell in a spirit that is dead to Me. Ephesians 2:1; Colossians 1:21; Isaiah 64:6.  To again have a living spirit your sin needed to be removed, you needed to be reconciled with Me, Colossians 1:22, recreated in My image, made righteous with My own righteousness. 2 Corinthians 5:21. Putting it another way, you had to be recreated into My image for your image had become distorted through corruption—the corruption that comes from rebellion and turning to idols. Exodus 32: 7; Deuteronomy 9:12.

So in Christ I reconciled the world to Myself, not counting your trespasses against you. 2 Corinthians 5:19. I laid upon Him the guilt of you all. Isaiah 53:6. He took your punishment upon Himself, paid your debt, in the sacrifice of Himself. I made Him who knew no sin to be sin on your behalf, so that you might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:21; Jeremiah 23:5-6.

I love you. You are Mine and I am yours, we are in Covenant in Jesus. Jesus is My Name fulfilled, to the smallest letter. And we will talk more about this in our next Life Lesson.
