His mouth is sweetness itself; He is altogether lovely. This is my Beloved, this is my Friend, O daughters of Jerusalem. Song of Songs 5:16.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלוהים) says:
Right in the middle of your Bible there is a song, and it is the Song of songs. It is the Song of the Beloved, it is the Song of the bridegroom and the bride, it is the Song of My love for you. It is My Song to you. Yes, I am singing to you, over you, and around you. And it is a love song. My banner over you is love.
I delight to sit in his shade, and his fruit is sweet to my taste. He leads me to the banquet hall, and his banner over me be love. Strengthen me with raisins, refresh me with apples, for I am faint with love. His left arm is under my head, and his right arm embraces me. Song of Songs 2:3-6.
And in that Song of songs, you will find a passage that describes the Three in One and the One in Three. It describes Me as spoken in the eyes of the bride, the church, and each of you as a member of it. The bride tells her inquiring friends who I am and what I am like. The question is: would you describe Me this way? It is who I am to those who love Me.
His mouth is sweetness itself; He is altogether lovely. This is my Beloved, this is my Friend, O daughters of Jerusalem. Song of Songs 5:16.
Do you see the Three in One and the One in Three?
My mouth speaks and what I speak is Spirit-breathed. My breath is My Spirit. And My Spirit is sweetness to you. Why do I say that? He witnesses to you with your spirit that you are My child, beloved and cherished as a joint heir with Christ, and causes you to cry out the precious name “Abba” to Me, the endearing term of “Father” that a small child would call with trust and love.
For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received the spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!” The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ. Romans 8:14-15.
And the Spirit testifies to you that your sins and offenses I remember NO MORE.
For by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified. And the Holy Spirit also testifies to us; for after saying, “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws upon their heart, and on their mind I will write them,” He then says, “And their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” Now where there is forgiveness of these things, there is no longer any offering for sin. Hebrews 10:14-18.
They are not only forgiven but gone. And if that testimony is not sweetness in your heart, you just have not believed it. For My Spirit speaks peace to you and not evil, to give you a future and a hope. He is your comforter, helper, advocate, and guide, always with you and in you forever. The flow of Heaven is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.
His role to you is sweetness and light raising you up to everlasting life. I pour My love in your heart by the gift of the Holy Spirit, and love is sweet to your taste. You cannot be mean and offensive to others if you are filled with My Spirit. You are a delight, for your fruit, the fruit of your lips and of your life, will be sweet to their taste for you will produce the fruit of that which abides in you and on you.
In his shade I took great delight and sat down, and his fruit was sweet to my taste. Song of Songs 2:3.
His mouth is sweetness itself. But do you also see Jesus in this? Remember we are Three in One and One in Three. The Holy Spirit breathes it into your spirit, but My Word speaks it to manifest in your life. The Word takes flesh.
How sweet are Your Words to my taste! Yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Psalm 119:103.
And I am My Word, so you see that I am all sweetness as well. Do you ever think of that as a characteristic of Mine? And yet you see it in the Three in One and the One and Three. My Words, My fellowship with you are sweet. I speak of salvation and I speak of shalom peace to My people. Those are sweet words of comfort and hope. And your voice to Me is sweet.
O my dove, in the clefts of the rock, in the secret place of the steep pathway of ascent, let me see your face, let me hear your voice; for your voice is sweet, and you are lovely.” Song of Songs 2:14.
And that brings us to the next line in the definition of the Three in One and One in Three, for you are in My image and according to My likeness: He is altogether lovely.
The word “lovely” there is the Hebrew word “machmad (מַחְמָד),” which means lovely, desirable, delightful, precious, and valuable.
One thing I have asked from the LORD, that I shall seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty (delightfulness) of the LORD and to meditate (inquire) in His temple. Psalm 27:4.
Bless the LORD, O my soul! O LORD my God, You are very great; You are clothed with splendor and majesty, covering Yourself with light as with a cloak. Psalm 104:1-2.
Splendor and majesty are before Him, strength and beauty are in His sanctuary. Psalm 96:6.
And here you see Me, your Father and LORD. I am love and I am lovely. My glory lights the Kingdom of Heaven and every good thing given and every perfect gift comes from within Me. The beauty and loveliness of My splendor is beyond what the human eye can behold and live in the mortal flesh. That is why I would not let Moses, My friend, behold My face, if he had, it would have been like Enoch, he would have crossed the light line and entered into My everlasting presence immediately. It would have filled up his cup to overflow.
From Zion, perfect in beauty, God shines forth. Psalm 50:2.
But you also see My Son here as well, when He appeared to Paul and John in His glorified body the light was blinding, brighter than the sun at its brightest at noonday. But you are able to gaze on My glory in the face of Christ and it will not sever you from your mortality for He too, though He is Son of God, is Son of Man.
And His beauty and loveliness is beyond comparison. He and I are One.
You are fairer (more beautiful) than the sons of men; grace is poured upon Your lips; therefore God has blessed You forever. Psalm 45:2.
And the Holy Spirit too is lovely. The Spirit of Holiness is beautiful.
Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. Psalm 29:2.
I am seeking those who worship in Spirit and in truth, and that is in the beauty of holiness.
And it is in My Son that true worship takes place, for He is the only way to Me. And that brings us to the next line of the passage defining the Three in One and One in Three. And since the first line was of the sweetness of My mouth, that is, My Spirit, and the next was of Me, the creator, LORD, and Father who is altogether lovely, you now see the Son: This is my Beloved, this is my Friend.
No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you. John 15:15.
He is My beloved Son and He is your beloved brother, kinsman redeemer, and friend. And the Church is the bride drawn forth from His wounded side. And the Church is His body, of which you are a member.
Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood—and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father—to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. Revelation 1:5-6.
He is the firstborn of many brethren, joint heirs with Him who is My beloved Son.
Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and might free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives. For assuredly He does not give help to angels, but He gives help to the seed of Abraham. Therefore, He had to be made like His brethren in all things, so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. 18 For since He Himself was tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted. Hebrews 2:14-18.
And you see Me and the Spirit in this also, I called Abraham and Moses My friends, and I fellowship with you in the Holy Spirit.
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. 2 Corinthians 13:14.
And I am your beloved. You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. You are Mine and I am yours. I am your reason to be and your eternity. If I had not loved you before the world began and planned you to be the unique you that you are, you would not be. My love for YOU brought you to be.
And I so loved you that I gave you My Son, and He so loved you that He gave His life for you and gave you the Holy Spirit of promise.
I love you and that what your life and the Three in One and One in Three that is Me is all about. Our great and everlasting love for you. And in the next Life Lesson I will tell you how the Three in One and One in Three make you new to be like Me. Love.
