He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?” And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.” Jesus said to him, “Feed My sheep.” John 21:17.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
If you have noticed, I often tell you in the Bible that I love you. It flows out of My heart towards you constantly. I tell you that I have loved you with an everlasting love. I tell you that you are precious and honored in My sight and I love you. And Jesus revealed to you that I love you as much as I love Him. And I tell you that Jesus loves you and released you from your sins by His blood. I tell you that I so loved the world I gave My only begotten Son that all who believe in Him shall never perish but have eternal life.
But if you look through the entire Bible, there is only one person that told Me he loved Me without My first asking him if he did. And that was the one I call a man after My own heart, and that is David.
At the Last Supper, My Son told the disciples He loved them and that I loved them, but if you think about it, none of them answered that they loved Him too. In fact, the disciple John referred to himself as the disciple Jesus’ loved but never called Jesus the one he loved.
And yet I have told you that the greatest of the Commandments (and My commandments are not burdensome but are rather opportunities to get blessed) is to love Me with all you heart, soul, mind and strength.
Do you love Me? What would be your answer? I am not asking you based on feelings alone but on commitment. Love is a lifestyle of truth and faithfulness. And that is a lifestyle of living My Word. My Word, Jesus, is the faithful and the true. My Word is truth and sanctifies you in the truth. And My Word is faithful, it will perform what has been promised.
If you love Me, Jesus told you that you would keep My Word, and we would abide with you in the love and make our dwelling place with you. But what is the Word that is primary? My Will for you in Christ Jesus, and it comes down to three: rejoice always, pray without ceasing and give constant thanks. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.
Faith knows the promise and rejoices no matter what the circumstances knowing that My Word is truth and will prevail over the temporal and the contradictory to manifest in the promise if you persevere. And that is hope, hope does not disappoint. Hope comes from constant communication in prayer where you receive the guidance on which you base your confident expectation of good, which defines the Bible kind of hope. It is certain upon divine connection and direction in prayer, which is the conversation of fellowship that is directed to produce results. And finally there is the greatest of all, love. Love gives thanks. The one who knows how much he or she has been forgiven and made whole in Christ, is thankful, greatly thankful, constantly overflowing with gratitude.
Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude. Colossians 2:6.
My eyes roam to and fro across the earth looking at hearts to find the ones turned towards Me. So what am I looking for in each heart? My image and likeness. And I am love. I am looking for love, but not just any kind of human love. I am looking for My kind of love. And that is holy.
The angels in Heaven, constantly call out around My throne, “Holy, Holy, Holy is the LORD God almighty, the LORD of Hosts!” I am holy and I am love. Love is pure and love is holy. I am looking for My image in your spirit.
Today we are going to consider the conversation that Jesus had with the disciples after I raised Him from the dead while He was still instructing the apostles upon the earth before He left to ascend back to Heaven to pour down My promise of the Holy Spirit. There is much to learn here for it is one of the final lessons given to the apostles while Jesus was on earth with them.
It takes place at the Sea of Galilee (which was also called the Sea of Tiberias and the lake of Gennesaret and the Kinneret), where a similar incident had occurred when Peter, Andrew, James and John left their fishing boats to become fishers of men after a miraculous catch of fish.
After Jesus had walked through the doors of the upper room to show Himself to the disciples hiding there, both on the day I raised Him and eight days later, Jesus showed Himself again to the disciples at the Sea of Tiberias, and He manifested Himself in this way. Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two others of His disciples were together. Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.” They said to him, “We will also come with you.” They went out and got into the boat; and that night they caught nothing. John 21:1-3.
Why? They had gone back to working on their own without Jesus. They had become concerned about provision even though they had seen the miracle of the resurrection, even though Heaven had landed on earth in the Person of the resurrected Lord Jesus.
When the day was breaking, however, Jesus stood on the beach; He had come to help them out. So Jesus said to them, “Children, you do not have any fish, do you?” Notice, He calls them “children,” in the upper room when He breathed on them they had been born again, now they were My children and joint heirs with Him. They answered Him, “No.” And He said to them, “Cast the net on the right-hand side of the boat and you will find a catch.” John 21:4-5.
This should remind you of what had happened about three years before. “Now it happened that while the crowd was pressing around Him and listening to the word of God, Jesus was standing by the lake of Gennesaret; and He saw two boats lying at the edge of the lake; but the fishermen had gotten out of them and were washing their nets. And He got into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out a little way from the land. And He sat down and began teaching the people from the boat. When He had finished speaking, He said to Simon, “Put out into the deep water and let down your nets for a catch.” Simon answered and said, “Master, we worked hard all night and caught nothing, but I will do as You say and let down the nets.” Luke 5:1-5.
Where Peter first answered the call of Jesus would turn out to be where he was called again, but not only to be a fisher of men, but also a shepherd of those he would bring into the safety net of the Church that will be drawn up at the rapture.
And just as when Jesus first called him the result to letting down the nets was amazing, so it was at the second call.
So they cast, and then they were not able to haul it in because of the great number of fish. Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord.” So when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put his outer garment on and threw himself into the sea. But the other disciples came in the little boat, for they were not far from the land, but about one hundred yards away, dragging the net full of fish.” John 21:6-8. This time there is one boat that does not begin to sink and one net that does not begin to break.
Now go back to what happened at the first call after Peter obeyed and let down the nets, “When they had done this, they enclosed a great quantity of fish, and their nets began to break; so they signaled to their partners in the other boat for them to come and help them. And they came and filled both of the boats, so that they began to sink. When Simon Peter saw that, he fell down at Jesus’ feet, saying, “Go away from me Lord, for I am a sinful man!” For amazement had seized him and all his companions because of the catch of fish which they had taken; and so also were James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, “Do not fear, from now on you will be catching men.” When they had brought their boats to land, they left everything and followed Him.” Luke 5:6-11.
They left the fish behind, walking away from worldly gain, to go to the higher realm of seeking out and saving the lost with Jesus. Note here the fish are beyond count and the nets began to break and the boats began to sink. The church had not yet been established as Jesus had not yet died for your sins or been glorified. But that was yet to come and those who made the commitment to follow Him would see it unfold.
This time though the results are very different for the age of grace, the church age, was dawning, but Pentecost was still to take place. You will notice that this time Jesus was standing upon the shore as day was breaking. The first call had been well into the day, after the night fishing was well over and Jesus had taught the crowds at length. This signified the ending of the age of the Old Covenant, Jesus being the fulfillment of the Law and the Prophets.
Now in the second call it did not end there with the catch, there is much more. This time Jesus would feed them and show them that you do not just catch people but you feed them as shepherd in the shelter of the church.
And the encounter continues, “So when they got out on the land, they saw a charcoal fire already laid and fish placed on it, and bread. Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish which you have now caught.” Simon Peter went up and drew the net to land, full of large fish, a hundred and fifty-three; and although there were so many, the net was not torn.” John 21:9-11.
I show you many things here about the role of the church. Jesus had already prepared a table before them but they were to bring the new catch as well. This shows the church as having both the Jews who followed Jesus as well as all the years of the Word entrusted to My people Israel and My Words spoken by the prophets under the inspiration of My Spirit, and the gentiles (the nations other than Israel) coming to the table together to eat the bread of life. And Jesus Himself prepares the meal and serves it.
And you should know that there are no idle words in the Bible. My Words are not idle words they are your very life. Simon Peter, the one whom I had given the revelation that Jesus was the promised Messiah was now the one I called to lead the early church. He was the first called to go as a fisher of men and now again would be the first called to feed and shepherd the people brought into the church.
And another facet of both the miraculous catches of fish is the about the way I supply for the work of the ministry, that is, for Kingdom assignments, with all you need and more beyond that. The latter glory of My house will be greater than the former glory for I will shake the wealth of all the nations into My house in the period of the latter rain, which is beginning now.
My house is no longer limited to the temple in Jerusalem, for every believer is My house, being a temple of My Holy Spirit, and together you are as living stones building the edifice of the church filled with My Spirit. You are members of the Body of Christ, each one of you a new creation in Christ created in Him for a life of good deeds prepared and provided for in advance that you may walk it out with Me in Christ Jesus your Lord.
And in both instances, at first they were fishing on their own without Me seeking worldly gain by toil. But without Me, you can do nothing of higher value. But when Jesus came and called in the fish everything changed. The Kingdom flowed in. In the Kingdom things run to you, you do not run after them.
“Now it shall be, if you diligently listen to and obey the LORD your God, being careful to do all His commandments which I command you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. All these blessings will come upon you and overtake you if you listen to and obey the voice of the LORD your God.” Deuteronomy 28:1-2.
“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:33.
And on another level, it is impossible to witness to others without doing it with Me (“catching fish”). Do not do it for Me to prove something to Me but do it with Me as a partner.
But let us go back to the second call by the Sea of Galilee. Jesus was waiting for them on the shore and He said to them, “Come and have breakfast.” Jesus came and took the bread and gave it to them, and the fish likewise. This is now the third time that Jesus was manifested to the disciples, after He was raised from the dead. John 21:12-14.
Jesus the good Shepherd was feeding his sheep and thus showing them the new facet to their call of being fishers of men. They were now to go not only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel but out to the nations to call them and then shepherd them by feeding them with My Word and with the bread of life.
“Now the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, Jesus our Lord, equip you in every good thing to do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.” Hebrews 13:20-21.
Jesus would feed them and they would feed others. It all has to do with love. Jesus did all He did for you from love. He is My compassion reaction to you to save you and keep you always with Me.
“Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood— and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father—to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.” Revelation 1:5-6.
And He taught Peter this, and the others there through what He said to Peter. It is love that should impel you to shepherd others in the way of salvation, your love for Me that comes from knowing of My love for you.
So when they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love (agapao) Me more than these?” He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love (phileo) You.” He said to him, “Feed My lambs.” He said to him again a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love (agapao) Me?” He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love (phileo) You.” He said to him, “Feed My sheep.” He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love (phileo) Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love (phileo) Me?” And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love (phileo) You.” Jesus said to him, “Feed My sheep.
Peter was no longer able to affirm that he had the kind of love that would never deny Jesus. the unconditional love that lays down its life for another, he was humbled by his three denials when he had affirmed that he positively would lay down his life for Jesus, but later he would. And Jesus foretold this to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were younger, you used to gird yourself and walk wherever you wished; but when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands and someone else will gird you, and bring you where you do not wish to go.” Now this He said, signifying by what kind of death he would glorify God. And when He had spoken this, He said to him, “Follow Me!” And here we see the second call after the three denials and the resurrection.
Peter was reinstated and loved. All was new. And he became the leader of the little flock that then grew and grew bringing in the nations. He was a fisherman and a shepherd. And towards the end of his life in the world, he wrote, “Therefore, I exhort the elders among you, as your fellow elder and witness of the sufferings of Christ, and a partaker also of the glory that is to be revealed, shepherd the flock of God among you, exercising oversight not under compulsion, but voluntarily, according to the will of God; and not for sordid gain, but with eagerness; nor yet as lording it over those allotted to your charge, but proving to be examples to the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.” 1 Peter 5:1-4. And Peter did. He is with Me now, crowned in glory.
Do you see what I am showing you in Jesus’ questions to Peter and His answer each time Peter affirmed his love? Feed My sheep. How can you feed My sheep with who I really am if you have no love for Me?
Love makes all the difference in a relationship. If you serve out of love, it is not burdensome. It keeps you faithful. It makes you excited and joyful. When you have fallen deeply in love, no wall is too high to climb, no river is too deep to cross, and no price is too much to pay in order to obtain union with the one you love.
For those who do not love Me, it is not pleasant or easy to seek Me, to pray, to serve others, or to attend church. It is the same in your dealings with people. You want to be with those you love and have a personal relationship with—you want to help them out and serve them, give them gifts, take them out—but you find it boring, tedious, and an imposition to serve those who you do not love or appreciate. You expect them to note how hard it is for you to do what they request and what a sacrifice they have required of you.
The beloved bride in Song of Songs is so faint with love (lovesick) (Song of Songs 5:8), that she rises in the night and runs through the city searching for the one her heart loves. She puts herself in peril to reach him. She will not stop until she finds him who her heart loves. Without him she is not complete.
That is why I say My followers are those who love the Lord with all their hearts, souls, minds, and strength. There is no other way that I want you to come to Me but out of love. That is why I gave man free will and dominion from the start. I want to be your choice or I do not want you to follow Me. I do not want you with Me if you do not desire to be there.
That is why I asked Peter three times if he loved Me after My resurrection. People say I asked him three times to make up for the three times he denied Me, and it did help him to reaffirm that, but I had forgiven his denials the minute he cried and repented. I remembered them no more. And the death of Jesus on the Cross took care of all sins.
One of the major reasons I asked him, and you as well for that matter, was so he could examine his own heart and make a decision of why he was following Me. I knew our relationship would not work, it would not last, unless it was a relationship of love. If he served Me for any other reason than love, and love alone, he would fall away again when persecution came as he had the night before I was crucified.
I did not need to ask Mary Magdalene if she loved Me. She did. When she came out to the tomb on the morning of the resurrection, she sought Me above her own life—she was ready to be killed by the guards rather than go another moment separated from Me. It was not courage; it was just being so in love you don’t care about the danger to yourself in seeking the beloved. It is like when a parent runs back into a burning house to save his child, he does not even think about the danger to himself, all he can think of is having his child with him.
I asked Peter, “Do you love Me?” He answered this first time in a rather noncommittal way. He thought he loved Me. But did he really? He denied me three times and then hid. He was not at the foot of the Cross. Look who was there—John, the disciple who loved Me because of My great love for him, Mary, the mother of Jesus who loved Me above herself, Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, all filled with love. All there were there out of love, not guilt or duty. At that point there seemed no gain or earthly good in following Me, but they were there out of love. Even though he had repented, Peter was not there.
So I asked him a second time, “Do you love Me?”, and then a third time. On the third time he realized I was serious. He searched his heart and he was upset that I asked him a third time. He suddenly realized he did love Me and that was why he had followed Me– not for the big catch of fish and the excitement of the miracles and crowds, but for love.
Each time I asked him if he loved Me I followed it by a direction to feed My lambs and shepherd My sheep.
I made whether he loved me or not the condition for shepherding My lambs and My sheep, nourishing My flock of followers. I let him know in this way that he would only be qualified to teach others about Me, if he loved Me, only if he had a personal relationship with Me. It is only then that you can show others who I truly am. If you know Me and love Me you will draw others to Me as I really am by the sweet fragrance of your joy. Song of Songs 1:4.
The same is true for pastors, preachers and teachers today—no one is qualified to be in those positions unless he or she loves Me. If you do not love Me and know Me personally and hear My voice, you are not qualified. I do not care if you have a doctorate in theology or divinity and have studied at the most prestigious religious institutions in the world, if you do not love Me and know Me personally you still do not qualify to feed My sheep, that is, to teach others about Me. That is why the Pharisees did not qualify and turned their converts into devils worse than themselves. If you don’t know Me as your friend and lover (Song of Songs 5:16), you do not qualify.
If you want to know how to truly be My follower then seek Me with your heart. Let Me enter in to be your lover and friend. You will find I am the Lord and lover of souls. That I am Love.
Fall in love with Me. I have fallen in love with you. It will make all the difference. Love makes the burden easy and the yoke light. All My ways are lovingkindness and truth.
Get to know Me. In My Presence is fullness of joy, light and love. Taste and see My Goodness. It makes all the difference.
Pause here a moment though for there are very definite answers in My Word of how I know you love Me. Consider your ways and see if your life shows Me you love Me.
My Son asked Peter three times if he loved Him. And the first time He asked, He said, “Simon, son of John, do you love Me more than these?” I would like to ask you that now. Do you love Me? Before you say “yes” too fast, I want you to think for a moment about what it means to love Me and then I will ask you again.
My Son, the night before He gave His life for your sins, told you three times what it means to love Me. I would like you to consider all three for I am asking you three times.
First, My Son said, “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.” John 14:15. And what are His commandments? He told you, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35. And He repeats this: “This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:12-13.
And if you love Him, He then states immediately what He will do for you, “I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.” John 14:16. And He tells you that I love you because you love Him and believe He came forth from Me so that all you ask in His Name I answer. John 16:26-27.
So if you love Him you are obedient to His Word. And He and I are One. It is the same for Me. If you love Me, you keep My Word as revealed to you by and in My Son.
The second time, He said, “He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will manifest (emphanizó: to exhibit, appear (in person), to declare) Myself to him.” John 14:21. Here it is again, if you love Jesus (and in seeing Him you see Me), you will keep My commandments as revealed in Jesus and, if you do, He will appear to you. In other words, you will know Him and if you know Him, you know Me. We are One. And this is eternal life. John 17:3.
And the third time, Jesus said, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My Word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me.” John 14:23-14. John, the beloved disciple, put it this way by direct revelation, “Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from Him anything we ask, because we keep His commands and do what pleases Him. And this is His command: to believe in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as He commanded us. The one who keeps God’s commands lives in Him, and He in them. And this is how we know that He lives in us: We know it by the Spirit He gave us.” 1 John 3:21-24.
Three magnificent promises to those who love Me:
- The Holy Spirit on you and in you forever as your helper, comforter, guide, healer, life giver and leader, so you can hear My voice in your heart;
- That My Son will reveal Himself to you; and
- That I will come with Him to make My abode with you. You in Me and I in you as One. All these magnificent promises of being partakers of My own divine nature if you love My Son, and loving Him is loving Me. Everything is yours if you love Me. And the one proof of love is you keep My Word.
Do you love Me enough to keep My Word? It will only benefit you. My Words are life to those who find them and health to all their flesh. It is a wonderful thing to live in My rest under My wings. It is the place of peace in every storm. It is the place where the impossible becomes possible. It is the place of hope.
My Son also called obeying My Word abiding in the vine. My Son said, “If you abide in Me, and My Words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples. Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full. This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends. You are My friends if you do what I command you.” John 15:7-14. Not only do you love Me if you keep His commands, but My Son calls you My friends.
Do you love Me more than these? More than gossip, judging, lying, backbiting, unforgiveness, rudeness, obscenity, pornography, gluttony, drugs, alcohol, judging, anger, complaining, grumbling, and idle words? In other words, do you keep My commands?
Do you love Me? You know how I know you do? If even when you want to cry and be sad beyond all sadness, instead you stand up and rejoice in praise, pray without ceasing, and give constant thanks, and all that just because I have told you that is My Will for you to do so in Christ Jesus. And here we are back where we began this Life Lesson, the big three.
And the wonderful thing is if you do what I tell you, you will have joy, My joy—joy unspeakable and filled with glory. In keeping My Word there is great reward, for I send My Word to heal you and deliver you. It is for your benefit.
Do you love Me? I know you do when you obey My command not to grumble and complain against one another. To forgive one another. To edify and exhort one another. To speak the truth in love.
If you love Me, you will not gossip, complain, say negative things about others, including even your spouse, your children, your siblings, your bosses, your co-workers, and your friends. If you do these things, do you know what you are telling Me? You do not love Me more than these things. You are throwing My Words behind your back.
Is your belly your God? Or are you moderate in what you eat because you love Me?
Faith. It is not just a matter of speaking My Words like a parrot, like if they were some magic charm, and getting whatever you say. It is about faith in your heart in Me that becomes so abundant that it releases My Word from your mouth from that faith in your heart. It is a relationship with Me and My Son. He told you, “This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” John 17:3. I have called you to fellowship with My Son.
The more you step into the realm of faith, the more I will reveal Myself to you, and the more you will become aware of Me. And you will find that I begin to show you the beauty of obeying My Words. You must be obedient to My Word to have My power of healing, provision, protection and deliverance operating in you and through you.
If you give Satan place in you, then you can no longer be an overcomer. You cannot overcome the enemy if you are in an adulterous relationship with him. Samson found that out. My Spirit left him. And with that, so did his strength. For that had been My power in him and not his own.
Jesus said that the devil could find no place in Him. And that is why My Son overcame the world. And so can you. As Paul advised you, “be careful how you live, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father; and be subject to one another in the fear of Christ.” Ephesians 5:15-21.
Have you ever been so wrapped up in My praise and My glory and feeling the closeness of My presence and then you step out of that realm at your place of work or on the phone with a friend and you gossip or speak negatively about others? How do you feel then? You feel suddenly disconnected and dirty. Why? You are not the source of the power, I am, and to have that you must be walking in love. My Kingdom is one of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
I am holy and I make you holy. Therefore walk in a manner worthy of the calling you have received. I have given you the grace to do so, you have only to work it out.
Faith is the victory that overcomes the world, and faith works by love. Jesus has shared His faith with you and He will develop it with you if you will obey His Word. Keep your eyes on Him, where He is, there will His disciple be. And He is always walking in ways of truth and love. Just follow.
I love you. Do you love Me? Test yourself today. See if you obey in little things. Then I can entrust you with greater. Rejoice in Me, pray and give thanks. Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking lies, depart from evil and do good, seek peace and pursue it. Psalm 34:13-14. Step into the realm of faith where everything is possible and there are no limits.
Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom. But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth. This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy. And the seed whose fruit is righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. James 3:13-18.
