And Jesus, crying out with a loud voice, said, “Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit.” Luke 23:46.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
The last Words of Jesus in the humility of His earthly sojourn were addressed to Me. And it was, “Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit.” Luke 23:46.
Follow His example. Have no anxiety about anything but in EVERYTHING put all that concerns you into My hands. And that is what it means to cast all your cares upon Me, it means to put your needs, wants, worries, fears, anxieties, health, provision, family, and everything that concerns you into My hands to take care of with you and for you. My hand feeds you and sees to all your needs. My hands made you and My hands saved you and My hands will carry you to safety.
But now, O LORD, You are our Father, We are the clay, and You our potter; and all of us are the work of Your hand. Isaiah 64:8
All other living creatures I spoke into being and they came forth from the medium in which they were then sustained and prospered. I spoke to the sea to bring forth the fish and to the earth to bring forth the cattle and all the beasts of the field, but when I made you, I spoke to Myself and brought you forth from My inmost being in My image and according to My likeness, and I am spirit, and then My own hands formed your body to hold your spirit and soul which I breathed forth as conceived deep from within Me. And deep calls unto deep, from My Spirit to yours and yours back to Me.
Once I formed the first man from the dust of the ground, then every person from then on is fashioned by Me from the flesh and bone of another as the first woman, and then as every man and woman born of woman down to this very day. Including the earthly body of My Son.
You can entrust your life, your times, your days, your years, your every moment into My hands. Just believe in My care and love, making all things work together for your good, and everything will be all right.
But Jesus, overhearing what was being spoken, said to the synagogue official, “Do not be afraid, only believe.” Mark 5:36.
If you will let Me, I will work out all the details of your life with you. I have given you the good Shepherd and My Spirit to guide you, lead you and empower you, but above all to save you and bring you home safely to Me.
Do not ponder things you can do nothing about in the natural, take care of them in the supernatural by faith in My Word. Believe and speak and celebrate in the victory, for in the Spirit realm it is already done, already won, there is nothing new under the sun that has not already been conceived in Me.
The solution is there, just believe and receive. And how do you know you have received it? You rejoice as in all riches, as one rejoices at the harvest, as one rejoices over spoil. The people who walk in darkness have seen a great light; those who live in a dark land (a land of gloom), light has shone. You shall multiply the nation, You shall increase their gladness; they will be glad in Your presence as with the gladness of harvest, as men rejoice when they divide the spoil. Isaiah 9:2-3.
And why all this joy? What is this light? Read on:
For a child is born to us, a Son is given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, God Hero, Father Forever, Prince of SHALOM. There will be no end to the increase of His government or of SHALOM, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness from then on and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will accomplish this. Isaiah 9:6-7.
This is guaranteed to you in the gift of Jesus. I so loved the world, I gave you My only begotten Son that all who believe in Him will NEVER perish but shall have eternal life.
And He has won over Satan and all will divide the booty, the spoils, the riches the devil has stolen from the righteous, with the strong. With the overcomers.
As a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see it and be satisfied; by His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, as He will bear their iniquities. Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great, and He will divide the booty with the strong; because He poured out Himself to death, and was numbered with the transgressors; yet He Himself bore the sin of many, and interceded for the transgressors. Isaiah 53:11-12.
How can you be a strong overcomer? Have you never read? Do not be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is your strength. Nehemiah 8:10.
Jesus won the battle (healing, authority, and all good things) and will give the rewards to the rejoicing. He Himself leads you out with joy.
And He brought forth His people with joy, His chosen ones with a joyful shout. Psalm 105:43.
Who overcomes? Who won? Read 2 Chronicles 20. The rejoicers singing praise in the face of the enemies won. The one filled with peace and joy in believing will always win the battle, for the battle has already been won. You are just claiming the booty.
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13.
Yesterday’s Word was “It is finished,” your victory is assured, but where is it for you? In My hands. And there is no snatching out of My hands.
And those are the last words of Jesus on the Cross at the most crucial point of His life, going to the dust of death He needed to believe He would not stay there but I would raise Him by the power of the Spirit. He emptied Himself and let go of all His authority and power as God to take your place among the lost who have no hope so that you who believe would never go there, would never perish. He would take care of it all, in My hands.
Although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Philippians 1:6-8.
He put His spirit into My hands and breathed out His last breath of His earthly sojourn into My hands knowing I would keep His spirit and raise Him up by the power of the Holy Spirit.
For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the Name which is above every name, so that at the Name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 1:9-11.
And now we come to His last Words on the Cross spoken forth:
It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness fell over the whole land until the ninth hour, because the sun was obscured; and the veil of the temple was torn in two. And Jesus, crying out with a loud voice, said, “Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit.” Having said this, He breathed His last. Luke 23:44-46. And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit. John 19:30.
And as I told you before, everything that Jesus said and did from His miraculous birth to His last words on the Cross and His being raised on the third day was foretold by My prophets. And here again He is speaking forth and fulfilling Words spoken (sung) long ago by My prophet David,
“You will pull me out of the net which they have secretly laid for me, for You are my strength. Into Your hand I commit my spirit; You have ransomed me, O LORD, God of truth and faithfulness. Psalm 31:4-5.
And it is spoken further in this Psalm of David concerning the Messiah:
But as for me, I trust in You, O LORD; I say, “You are my God.” My times are in Your hand; deliver me from the hand of my enemies, and from those who persecute me. Psalms 31:14-15.
My hand is not too short to save nor are My hears to dull to hear your cries. I am here for you. My strong hand will scoop you up and carry you from harm to the perfect protection of My secret place.
And you see the foretelling of what came to pass now as Jesus cried out His last Words:
The cords of death encompassed me, and the torrents of ungodliness terrified me. The cords of Sheol surrounded me; the snares of death confronted me. In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried to my God for help; He heard my voice out of His temple, and my cry for help before Him came into His ears. Psalm 18:4-6. (A Psalm of David)
Remember Jesus was not dying the death of the righteous but of the sinners, the ungodly. He was hanging there as sin in your place. I made Him to be sin on your behalf though He had never sinned so you became righteous with His righteousness. The cords of hell surrounded Him as happens in the death the one who has rejected Me and is under the sentence of Adam in the power of the evil one and pulled Him down to the pit. But I rent the veil of the temple in two and came down to rescue Him.
He sent from on high, He took me; He drew me out of many waters. He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from those who hated me, for they were too mighty for me. They confronted me in the day of my calamity, but the LORD was my stay. He brought me forth also into a broad place; He rescued me, because He delighted in me. Psalm 18:16-19.
Jesus had to give up His spirit to Me or He could not have gone to hell in your place. Jesus’ spirit was holy and was indwelt by the Holy Spirit and anyone who has the Holy Spirit in Him cannot go to hell.
However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. Romans 8:9-11.
There is no snatching out of My hand. And when you have taken Jesus as Lord and been regenerated by the Holy Spirit in the new birth I seal you in Christ with the Holy Spirit as the pledge of your total redemption—spirit, soul, and body.
Now may the God of SHALOM Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass. 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24.
I love you. You can trust Me to raise you up. I have sealed you in Christ and commanded Him to lose no one that I have given Him but to raise you up on the Last Day. Blessed assurance is yours in Christ. He won it for you. Take it, rest in it, and put all things concerning you in My hands. You will find your name carved in the palm of My hands and in My hands there is unending supply.
Therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoices; my flesh also will dwell securely. For You will not abandon my soul to the pit; nor will You allow Your Holy One to undergo decay. You will make known to me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; in Your right hand there are pleasures forever. Psalm 16:9-11.(A Psalm of David)
