Pursue love, yet desire earnestly spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.. 1 Corinthians 14:1.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:

Prophets are trail blazers, they open the way and forge a path that give others easy access, and they open it in two ways, they open the way for people to come to Me by preparing their hearts and showing them who I am and what I am saying to them and they open the way for Me to perform My work in the earth and find hearts prepared and open to Me. Prophets open doors and forge level paths through the wilderness and difficult terrain.

A voice of one calling out, “Clear the way for the LORD in the wilderness; make smooth in the desert a highway for our God. Let every valley be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low; and let the rough ground become a plain, and the rugged terrain a broad valley; then the glory of the LORD will be revealed, and all flesh will see it together; for the mouth of the LORD has spoken.” Isaiah 40:3-5.

Moses foretold that I would send a prophet like him who would speak only My Words.

“The LORD your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your brethren, you shall listen to him. This is according to all that you asked of the LORD your God in Horeb on the day of the assembly, saying, ‘Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, let me not see this great fire anymore, or I will die.’ The LORD said to me, ‘They have spoken well. I will raise up a prophet from among their brethren like you, and I will put My words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him. It shall come about that whoever will not listen to My words which he shall speak in My name, I Myself will require it of him.” Deuteronomy 18:15-19.

Moses was opening hearts to the coming of Jesus, but he was also opening the way for Jesus by speaking His coming into the earth and preparing hearts that were looking for the coming of the Messiah. This prophecy clearly shows that in seeing Jesus you are seeing Me in one that you can securely behold. The people asked for one they could hear My Words from but not die by seeing My Almighty and divine presence face-to-face.

Moses called Jesus a prophet. Jesus is the Way. He has gone first, the firstborn of many brethren born anew in Christ from above, as your forerunner through the veil into the Holy of Holies. He opened for you a new and living way, paved in His blood of eternal redemption, so you have easy access to enter a place which you could not enter before. Sin had created a dividing wall and shut the door but Jesus, as your pioneer and way maker, forged a highway by leveling that dividing wall by taking away sin and blazing a smooth highway of holiness straight to the heavenly Zion. Isaiah 35:8-10.

Jesus has opened the Way to all who will receive Him. He opened the way for you to come to Me and opened the way for Me to go to you. He is the most perfect of all prophets. And the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

Jesus is the pioneer and completer of your faith. He takes you by a new and direct path that avoids the pitfalls and the traps of the devil.

Pioneers are those who blaze trails through the obstacles and makes it easy for those after them to know the way, it being all carved out, paved, and a highway where there was only wilderness and rough terrain before. And pioneers also open ways to build and bring cities where before it was barren land by creating access and commerce in those places. They open the way to a fortified city.

They wandered in the wilderness in a desert region; they did not find a way to an inhabited city. They were hungry and thirsty; their soul fainted within them. Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble; He delivered them out of their distresses. He led them also by a level way, to go to an inhabited city. Let them give thanks to the LORD for His lovingkindness, and for His wonders to the sons of men! Psalm 107:4-8.

Prophets are opening My way to you and your way to Me so we can be reconciled as one. And for this purpose, prophets are ambassadors of My Kingdom as well, giving witness to the homeland. You see this in that those who know Me and speak My Words are not of the world and subject to its evils even though they are sojourning in the world. They walk above. Like Elijah in the time of the famine, it never touched him, I always made sure he was well supplied.

Jesus made you all prophets when He gave His final instructions upon the earth before ascending back to His throne in Heaven, “you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.” Acts 1:8.

Prophets are witnesses. Witnesses give testimony about what they personally have seen, heard, and know. And what is the testimony you are to give as a witness, that is, as a prophet?

When the Helper (Paraclete, Comforter, One at your side) comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, that is the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify about Me, and you will testify also, because you have been with Me from the beginning. John 15:26-27.

You are to testify about Jesus. And Jesus’ Name means “Salvation.” You are to testify to salvation but in a very particular way. As I sent Jesus as My prophet, priest, and king, so He sends you as His prophets, priests and kings. Revelation 1:5-6. And He came to get you all back in the plan I had for each of your lives from the beginning to the end.

And He came and preached SHALOM to you who were far away, and SHALOM to those who were near; for through Him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father. Ephesians 2:17-18.

“For I know the plans that I have for you,” declares the LORD, ‘plans for SHALOM (peace, welfare, well-being, prosperity, health, healing, provision, good relationships, fruitful occupations) and not for evil to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11.

But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the chastening for our SHALOM (well-being, abundant life) fell upon Him, and by His scourging we are healed. Isaiah 53:5.

Prophecy brings about peace for My people in their souls and good health in their bodies. Prophecy is not about the past, except for the good news that your sins are gone and that I remember them no more, but prophecy is not looking back but looking forward to build you up, exhort you to higher levels, and encourage you to go forward and never give in or up.

I called Abraham a prophet. I told that to Abimelech, a pagan ruler, and that if Abraham prayed for him, he and his household would be healed, which is exactly what happened.

So one thing a prophet does, as Jesus did, is bring healing to show that I am the LORD your healer and that this promise is “yes” to you in Jesus.

And Abraham testified to Jesus. Jesus Himself told you at Abraham saw His day and rejoiced. What does that mean? What was Jesus’ day that He came into the world for? The day He saved you from your sins by taking them all on Himself and paying your judgment and satisfying your sentence of eternal death. And what did he prophesy about Jesus? “God Himself will provide the Lamb for the burnt offering (the primary offering that took away sin).

And I do nothing without first revealing it to My prophets so that they will speak the beautiful plans I have into the earth and authorize Me to come in and perform My Words.

The LORD said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do, since Abraham will surely become a great and mighty nation, and in him all the nations of the earth will be blessed? For I have chosen him, so that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing righteousness and justice, so that the LORD may bring upon Abraham what He has spoken about him.” Genesis 18:17-19.

Jesus spoke about Abraham seeing His day and rejoicing. Jesus spoke about Moses writing about Him. Jesus quoted the prophet Isaiah as writing about Him and I reveal to you in the Gospel of John that Isaiah had seen the glory of Jesus. And Jesus quoted Daniel as writing about Him as Son of Man coming on the clouds of Heaven, as Messiah and about the events of the great tribulation. And Jesus spoke about David and how David knew Him as His Lord, as Adonai, who was seated at My right hand as I put His enemies under His feet.

What am I telling you here? That prophets, all prophets, testify to Jesus, whether from the Old Testament or the New Testament, prophets are like the lamps on the golden lampstand in the tabernacle of Moses, they all had their wicks trimmed morning and evening to point to the lamp on the center staff from which they branched off on six branches, but the seventh lamp was in the middle and all flames turned towards the center lamp, which was called the Servant Lamp.

Zacharias, the father of John the Baptist, gave a wonderful description by the Holy Spirit of what it means to be a prophet.

“And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Most High; for you will go on before the Lord to prepare His ways; to give to His people the knowledge of salvation by the forgiveness of their sins, because of the tender mercy of our God, with which the Sunrise from on high will visit us, to shine upon those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of SHALOM.” Luke 1:76-79.

And that should now describe you.

And My Son told you that no man born of woman had been greater than John up to that time, but now, even the least born into the Kingdom of God is greater than he. How is that? John was not born again though he lived a holy and righteous life as the precursor but everyone born into the Kingdom is born from above by My Word and the precious blood of Jesus which has released you from all your sins and made you holy, blameless and beyond reproach before Me. And He has anointed you with His own anointing with which I anointed Him as priest, prophet and king.

Prophets anointed their successors, such as Elijah did for Elisha. Prophets anointed kings, just as Samuel anointed David. But after the initial consecration by Moses, only new high priests were anointed, not every new regular priest who took care of the offerings and every day affairs in the temple for the initial anointing of Aaron’s sons was considered to establish a perpetual priesthood for their descendants. Do you see? You are now all under the anointing of your High Priest Jesus and I have sworn and will not repent He is the High Priest forever according to the Order of Melchizedek (the Holy Spirit who anointed Jesus and through Him each one of you) and He has made you kings and priests unto Me as well. Revelation 1:5-6. Priests, prophets, and kings. As I sent Him so He sends you. Let no word of yours be idle instead prophesy so your words bring edification, exhortation, and encouragement, giving grace (My life) to those who hear you.

I love you. Just as John the Baptist opened the way for My Son at His first coming, so now you must do the same for His second coming. Begin today! The time is short and you have the good news the world is waiting to hear.
