Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it. John 14:13-14.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
How do you live your life IN CHRIST? In His Name! In Him you are in Covenant with Him and in Him with Me. And one of the benefits is I have given you His Name. And I gave Him My Name. As His body, the Church, you have His Name. Just as bride takes the name of her husband and the two, though unique, become as one.
Yes, I have given you an amazing promise that you know is true because I cannot lie. And My Son spoke it to you three times, so you have it established by three witnesses and you know it must be of uttermost importance you understand what you have. And if you are a believer you can use it, just as Peter, John and Paul, and many others have to bring about extraordinary miracles of healing, provision, and deliverance. And so can you.
Do you know of what I am speaking? I am speaking of the Name of Jesus to which every knee must bow. There is salvation in no other name. People say that a rose by any other name will smell as sweet, meaning that what you call something does not matter, but in the case of Jesus it does. Everyone who calls on that Name is saved, not on another. If you do not know the power in the Name of Jesus, it is time you did and applied it to your life to have wonderful awesome inspiring results. It will bless you beyond all you can ask or imagine.
Jesus, at the Last Supper, told you who would believe in His Name, “Whatever you ask in My Name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.” John 14:13. And then He repeated it so it would really sink in, “If you ask Me anything in My Name, I will do it.” John 14:14.
Ponder this a moment. Say you are in pain and suffering. Instead of lying there accepting it or even just rebuking it and believing to be healed, there is one more step to take that will put an end to it all. Ask in the Name of Jesus to be healed of the pain and what is causing it. And if you believe My Words, you will know you have found the cure. POWER. When you ask in His Name, He does it, not you. When Jesus was on earth as one of you, He healed all who came to Him, cast out demons, and stopped storms. And when you name His Name, it is the same for you as it was for Peter in the boat on the stormy sea. Jesus was there. And He awoke and rebuked the storm. Why? Jesus had perfect faith, He had no doubts or hindrances of unbelief, He connected and was a superconductor of My Power in Him. And He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
And Jesus did not need to pray in anyone’s Name but His. Why? Have you never read, the prayer of Jesus to Me at the Last Supper: “I am no longer in the world; and yet they themselves are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep them in Your Name, which You have given Me, that they may be one even as We.” John 17:11. I had given Him My Name—Yahavah (יהוה) -The Great I AM, I WAS, and I AM to come. The LORD your healer. The Name I revealed to Moses. And in My Name is Salvation, My only begotten Son whom I sent out of My bosom into the world to reveal My Name. My beloved John understood, he wrote for you, “No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, He has made Him known.” John 1:18. And He is the radiance of My glory and the exact representation of My nature, and He upholds all things by the Word of His power. When He had made purification of all sins, He sat down at My right hand on high, having inherited a most exalted and excellent Name. Hebrews 1:3-4.
And I told you in Psalm 91 that I set you securely on high because you have known My Name, I answer you when you call, deliver you, and rescue you and honor you, and that I reveal to you My Salvation (Yeshuah). Coming forth from and contained within My Name is the Name of Jesus, Salvation, Yeshuah, which means deliverance, healing, provision, prosperity and eternal life. Psalm 91:14-16. And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which you must be saved.” Acts 4:12.
And Jesus repeated His promise when He told the astonished disciples that He would leave for a short while but He would come back to them—raised from the dead—and “in that day you will not question Me about anything. Truly, truly, I say to you, if you ask the Father for anything in My name, He will give it to you. Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full.” John 16:23-24. He had told you when you ask in His Name, He will do it and now He got to the heart of the matter, when you ask Me for anything in His Name, I will give it to you. His Name is in My Name.
Do not water this down. I have spoken. Will you agree?
My Son emptied Himself and became a servant, accepting all your sins and going to death on the cross so you could be reconciled to Me, and for that, I exalted him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the Name of Jesus every knee must bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue proclaim that Jesus Christ is Lord, to My glory. Philippians 2:5-11. And many years before My prophet Isaiah, who saw the glory of Jesus, had written My Words: “Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other. I have sworn by Myself, the Word (Jesus) has gone forth from My mouth in righteousness and will not turn back, that to Me every knee will bow, every tongue will swear allegiance. They will say of Me, ‘Only in the LORD are righteousness and strength.’ Men will come to Him, and all who were angry at Him will be put to shame.” Isaiah 45:23-24.
Peter, on the day Pentecost was fulfilled by the pouring out of My Spirit upon believers, told the astonished crowd to be baptized in the NAME of Jesus for the forgiveness of their sins and to receive the Holy Spirit. The early church prayed for Me to extend My hand to heal with attesting signs and wonders to take place through the Name of My holy servant Jesus.” Acts 4:30. And I did just as they requested in His Name. Acts 5:12.
Peter and John sat with Jesus that night before He died and heard this promise from the lips of My Son. And after they saw Him raised from the dead, ascend back to Me, and pour My Spirit into and onto them, they knew they had a treasure that was all they needed to have supernatural results. They could have Jesus with them again, doing the works, though He was back at My throne.
Let Me show you.
After that Sunday when Pentecost had been fulfilled, Peter and John were going up to the temple at the 3:00 pm hour, the hour of prayer. A man who had been lame from his mother’s womb was being carried along, whom they used to set down every day at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, in order to beg alms of those who were entering the temple. When he saw Peter and John about to go into the temple, he began asking to receive alms. But Peter had a better plan. Peter, along with John, fixed his gaze on him and said, “Look at us!” And the lame man began to give them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. But Peter said, “I do not possess silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you: In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene—rise and walk!” And seizing him by the right hand, Peter raised him up; and immediately his feet and his ankles were strengthened. With a leap he stood upright and began to walk; and he entered the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising Me. And all the people saw him walking and praising Me; and they were taking note of him as being the one who used to sit at the Beautiful Gate of the temple to beg alms, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him. Acts 3:1-10. While the formerly crippled man was clinging to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them at the portico of Solomon, full of amazement. But when Peter saw this, he replied to the people, “Men of Israel, why are you amazed at this, or why do you gaze at us, as if by our own power or piety we had made him walk? The LORD God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified His servant Jesus, the one whom you delivered and disowned in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to release Him. But you disowned the Holy and Righteous One and asked for a murderer to be granted to you, but put to death the author of life, the one whom God raised from the dead, a fact to which we are witnesses. And on the basis of faith in His name, the name of Jesus has strengthened this man whom you see and know; and the faith which through Him has given him this perfect health in the presence of you all.” Acts 3:11-16.
The Name and the faith of Jesus through that Name did the work. Jesus had showed up at the calling of His Name. And I had showed up in Him.
And on the next day, the rulers and elders and scribes were gathered together in Jerusalem; and Annas the high priest was there, and Caiaphas and John and Alexander, and all who were of high-priestly descent inquired of Peter and John, “By what power, or in what name, have you done this?” Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers and elders of the people, if we are on trial today for a benefit done to a sick man, as to how this man has been made well, let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead—in His name this man stands here before you in good health. Jesus is the stone which was rejected by you, the builders, but which became the chief corner stone. And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:5-13.
Let Me ask you a question, if the Name of Jesus gave a man who was crippled from his birth and had never walked new bones and joints, can the Name also not give you new bones and joints? A new kidney? A new liver? New eyes? New ears? Of course. “Amen, amen,” declared Jesus, “if you ask the Father for anything in My name, He will give it to you. Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full.” John 16:23-24.
Remember Jesus told you who believe that you would do the works He did and greater. How? In His Name. Full authority has been given Him in Heaven and on earth, and He has sent you to do great works in His Name. How? He will do them in you and for you. He is in His Name. And His faith is in His Name too, He is the author and finisher of your faith. In Him you are complete.
You see Paul taking this even further. Once a woman who had an unclean spirit in her, she did fortune telling, followed Paul and Silas through town declaring and proclaiming. Paul got irritated with the demon in her and made quick work of the situation. What did he do? Paul turned and said to the spirit, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her!” And it came out at that very moment. Acts 16:18. After I raised Jesus from the dead, He appeared to His followers and said: “These attesting miracle will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues; they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Mark 16:17-18.
Do you remember when Jesus cured the woman in the synagogue whose bones were so weakened that she could not straighten up? Jesus said it was a spirit of infirmity by which Satan had bound her for eighteen years. So what did He do? He cast that spirit out, set her free, and then laid His hands on her and restored her bones. All the damage that had destroyed her bones for over eighteen years was gone. Luke 13:10-17.
Do you see? If you are bound by a spirit of infirmity, a spirit of cancer, a spirit of pain, a spirit of addiction to drugs or alcohol, gluttony or anger, cast that out in the Name of Jesus and then ask Me in His Name to restore all the years of damage that spirit has caused. And lay your hands on the place you want healed. That Name gave new bones to a cripple, straightened a woman filled with osteoporosis, and took a lying spirit out of a fortune teller, it raises the dead, gives life and gives eternal life. Why don’t you use so wonderful a gift? But the Name is only powerful in the mouths of believers who send it out with faith. Why? It is Jesus Himself who does the work, and He never entrusted Himself to those who did not believe. He knows your heart.
I love you. I have given you the Name above every other Name. And His Name is in My Name. My Name is a strong tower, the righteous run to it and are saved, safe and delivered. And I am the LORD who heals you, who looks ahead and provides for you, who redeems you, and who delivers you. Do you see why Paul began his prayer for you who believe in the way: “For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name.” When you receive Jesus, you become My child, heir and a joint heir with Christ, and you inherit the Name that is more excellent and exalted than any other Name. Use it with reverence and awe, but use it! Let Me stretch out My Hand in signs, wonders, and miracles in the Name of My holy servant Jesus!
