O taste and see that the LORD is good. Psalm 34:8.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
Receiving My goodness, My blessings, My Grace, receiving My love for the whole human race, singing of mercy poured down from above, entering My joy, My peace, and My love.
O taste and see that the LORD is good; how blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! O fear the LORD, you His saints; for to those who fear Him there is no want. The young lions do lack and suffer hunger; but they who seek the LORD shall not be in want of any good thing. Psalm 34:8-10.
I daily load you with benefits, but very few are receiving them. They are too bound up in other things to see the beauty, to hear My songs, and dream My dreams. My heart longs to do good to you. I have stored up so much goodness but so many will not open their hearts to Me to receive it.
How great is Your goodness, which You have stored up for those who fear You, which You have wrought for those who take refuge in You, before the sons of men! Psalm 31:19.
Do not limit the flow, open your mouth wide and I will fill it with My Word to bring about Kingdom results—great goodness to chase you down and overwhelm you.
Be careful about being too much with complainers and the worldly lest you too become like them. Faultfinders are not good companions for then all you see with them are the faults of others and you begin fault finding too. You must come up higher with Me where the air is clear of evil, where nothing moves you that comes against you for in your heart is My goodness and My love.
“Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? O send out Your light and Your truth, let them lead me; let them bring me to Your holy mountain and to Your dwelling places (mishkan (מִשְׁכָּן): tabernacle, dwelling place). Then I will go to the altar of God, to the God of my joy (simchah (שִׂמְחָה): joy, gladness, mirth, rejoicing) and my exceeding gladness (giyl (גִּיל): to rejoice, be glad, exult, revolutionary joy) and upon the lyre I shall praise You, O God, my God.” Psalm 43:2-4.
Gossip is not for those in Christ and neither is conjecture about another’s motives. Idle conversation fills no purpose of Mine and is not to your benefit or that of anyone else for that matter. It is love alone that will win the throne. But I make the way sure for in My banquet hall My banner over you is love and I pour My love into your heart through the gift of the Holy Spirit. There is a reason in Song of Songs I call My banquet hall a house of wine, My love is better than the finest wine and makes everything in your spirit and soul sweet.
Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father. Ephesians 5:15-20.
Taste and see the goodness in My Word in your life.
Like an apple tree among the trees of the forest, so is my Beloved among the young men. In His shade I took great delight and sat down, and His fruit was sweet to my taste. He has brought me to his house of wine and His banner over me is love. Song of Songs 2:3-4.
You will know when you are under My banner it brings about miracles of love. One of the names Moses gave Me was the LORD our banner. Yahavah Nissi, which also means the LORD my miracle and the LORD my victory. Moses named Me that when I gave them victory over the Amalekites when Aaron and Hur held up the arms of Moses in praise when he became too tired to do so on his own. Exodus 17:11-12. Which shows you the way to victory—arms lifted in highest praise, yadah. It was this word of praise that Leah derived the name of her fourth son, Judah (Yehudah), her son born in praise in the midst of her bitterness of the hatred Jacob had for her. But praise won her way out of that.
Amalekite is derived from the Hebrew root עָמַל (amal), meaning bitter toil and painful labor. And the Amalekites came to battle the Israelites in the Valley of Rephidim, which is derived from the root רָפָה (raphah), which means to relax and refresh, it is also the root of the word rapha (רפא), which means to heal. So just when you think you are safe in a place of rest and refreshment guess who will come to attack? Yes, your adversary the devil and you will know he has shown up for strife and toilsome labor will come.
For where jealousy and strife exist, there is disorder and every evil thing. James 3:16.
Do not get trapped by the stress the devil tries to throw into your work and your family, even your times of relaxation. Work from My rest, supernatural rest, as we spoke of in the last Life Lesson. Do not be caught unaware, be ready to answer him with arms raised up to Me in praise for your deliverance!
I sent My Son to live a beautiful life for you. Does that not make you want to live a beautiful life for Me? It is in that beautiful life that your joy will be full. In Christ you can live a beautiful, sinless life of fruitfulness if you want it, if you desire it with all your heart.
When you receive the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness you can reign in life through Christ. You can reign over sin, over bitterness, over strife, over your emotions, over gossip, over lies, over sickness, over pain, over depression, over fear, and over the works of the flesh—all these things that formerly so easily ensnared you—as you soar on the wings of the Spirit.
In Christ, you can tread right over what used to trip you up into sin and so much negativity and emotional upheaval. O death, where is your victory? O death where is your sting? The sting of death is sin, the wages of sin is death, and not just physical death but death to joy, to dreams, to love, to beauty, and to shalom peace. Sin causes a death in you to purity and power. Sin will turn you into a slave to your flesh. Watch carefully how you live and what you let in to your soul to ponder upon. Sin is crouching at your door, but you can be its master every time if you will walk with Me and always remain in My Word. My Word should always be the way you respond to all things and therein lies the power.
That is why the first thing the devil tries to take from your heart is My Word. Just as he did to Adam and Eve and you know the rest. If he can get you to doubt and disobey My Word, he knows he can take you captive to do his will and enter into the slavery of the law of sin and death.
If you will resist him by answering him with the rebuke of My Word every time he attacks or tries to influence your thoughts he must flee from you.
Submit to God, resist the devil, and he must flee from YOU. Not Me but you.
There are treasures you will never find in Me and in My Word if your heart is closed to My goodness. If you are critical of Me and believe that I want you to suffer and be in want, you will not be able to receive healing and prosperity.
“I am the LORD your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you in the way you should go. If only you had paid attention to My commandments! Then your well-being (shalom) would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea.” Isaiah 48:17-18.
I love you! If only you would listen I would share all My goodness with you. Open wide you hearts, enlarge your hearts, I have so much goodness, so much grace, and, above all, so much love to share with you, won’t you receive it?
