I am my Beloved’s and my Beloved is mine. Song of Songs 6:3.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
I will be entirely yours if you will be entirely Mine.
How are you entirely Mine the way I am entirely yours? You love Me like I love you: with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength.
“Hear, O Israel! The LORD is our God, the LORD is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. Deuteronomy 6:4-5.
But how do you express that love to Me whom now you cannot see? You keep My Word.
These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand and they shall be as frontals on your forehead. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. Deuteronomy 6:6-9.
I am My Word, John 1:1-5, so treasuring My Word in your heart and doing it is expressing your love for Me.
“Then it shall come about when the LORD your God brings you into the land which He swore to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, to give you, great and splendid cities which you did not build, and houses full of all good things which you did not fill, and hewn cisterns which you did not dig, vineyards and olive trees which you did not plant, and you eat and are satisfied, then watch yourself, that you do not forget the LORD who brought you from the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. Deuteronomy 6:10-12.
How would you ever forget Me, your provider and maker? If you stop reading and valuing and speaking and doing My Word. Whenever My people Israel fell away from Me it was because they had neglected and lost sight of My Word.
Under Manasseh and Amon, My temple had been filled with idols and My Word forgotten and My temple had fallen into disrepair. But then the son of Amon became king and he had a heart to seek Me and know Me. He began to repair the temple and Hilkiah, the High Priest, found the Book of the Law while overseeing repairs to Solomon’s Temple in Jerusalem. The book had been lost for decades, due to neglect and idolatrous practices during the reigns of previous kings. These rulers had introduced pagan worship and desecrated the temple, leading to the book being forgotten or misplaced in a neglected area of the temple.
The discovery occurred during Josiah’s efforts to restore proper worship and repair the temple. The book’s absence reflected a period of spiritual decline in Judah, where God’s commandments were ignored, and idolatry flourished. Its rediscovery became a catalyst for religious reform under Josiah, who was deeply convicted upon hearing its contents. He initiated widespread changes to align Judah with My laws, including abolishing pagan practices and recommitting the nation to the covenant with Me. Josiah was entirely Mine and I was entirely His.
He did right in My sight and walked in all the way of his father David, nor did he turn aside to the right or to the left. Before him there was no king like him who turned to Me with all his heart and with all his soul and with all his might, according to all the law of Moses; nor did any like him arise after him. 2 Kings 23:25.
I tell you that the greatest commandment is to love Me with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. Mark 12:30. I define loving Me as keeping My Word. John 14:21, 23. To do whatsoever I tell you. To meditate on My Word day and night. This means that you are so transformed by renewing your mind in My Word that you think like Me—so that your first response to everything is according to My Word, such as forgiving offenses and letting them go, being generous, speaking the truth in love, rebuking illness, casting out demons, and showing gracious kindness to all. Then we can walk together because we agree. Amos 3:3.
Now when I say something is the greatest commandment and of first importance you should want to listen up, understand it, and live it.
To love Me with all your heart, soul, mind and strength means you operate like Me. It means that you live My Word from the inside out. It has to do with the intentions and thoughts of the heart and mind.
And how do you discern these? By lining up your intentions, thoughts and words with Mine, the plumb line. My Word judges the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4:12.
Jesus told you it is My Word that judges you. John 12:48. By your words you be acquitted and by your words you will be condemned. Matthew 12:37. Do your words line up with My Words?
In order to speak like Me you must think like Me. You speak from your heart’s abundance. Does what goes on inside of you line up with My Word?
If you keep My Word as your ultimate authority, you love Me. If you do not then the opposite is true, no matter how much you say you love Me you do not. So if you harbor evil thoughts, you do not love Me. If you have unforgiveness in your heart, you do not love Me. If you nourish selfish ambition, jealousy, depression, worry and fear, you do not love Me.
If you think thoughts of excellence, beauty, and love you think like Me. Philippians 4:8. And then I know you love Me.
The way to keep the most important of all the commandments is to renew your mind with My Word so that you think like Me. Then you will speak like Me and act like Me. Thinking higher thoughts, My thoughts, where Christ is seated at My right hand, as expressed in My written Word for you, is meditating on My Word night and day so that all you do succeeds and prospers. Joshua 1:7-8. Line up your thoughts with My Word.
This is what it means to be Spirit-filled. It really means you are thinking like Me. Being Spirit-filled means that having My Spirit within you, you can think like Me because My Spirit knows My thoughts and reveals them to you. 1 Corinthians 2:10. So if you are filled with My Spirit, you are filled with My thoughts communicated to you by Him, and you think like Me.
And filled means there is no room for anything else.
I think in love, talk in love, and walk in love. Everything else is foreign to Me and cannot enter Me. That is why it is written that there is no darkness in Me. I am all light. Clothed in it. I radiate it. My Glory lights the Kingdom of Heaven. There is nothing in Me but light—which is pure—and light produces every kind of goodness. Ephesians 5:9.
So to be Spirit filled means you share My thoughts and partake of My Divine nature. You are like Me in My Image and likeness. You independently act like Me. You are not Me, you are your own person, but you can operate as I do—in love and light.
Evil should have no part in you.
That is being Sprit-filled. That is being holy for I am holy.
If you are Spirit-filled only thoughts of goodness, love, and beauty fill you, you reject all contrary thoughts that raise their heads against My Word. And then you respond to problems with My Word. You rebuke them, bind them, move them, and cast them out. You have no fear because perfect love casts out all fear.
Balaam, son of Beor, defined it pretty well—the one who hears the Words of God and then sees as God sees and speaks as God speaks. Numbers 24:3.
I would like you to give yourself a check-up at this point to see if you are Spirit filled.
Do you harbor any unforgiveness? Are you jealous? Are you depressed? Are you worried?
Are you scared?
If the answer is “yes” to any of these you are not Spirit filled. These are not My thoughts about you. In fact I tell you not to harbor these thoughts and emotions.
Now ask yourself these questions:
Are you expecting good things and are excited about them even when nothing seems to be working out?
Are you rejoicing even when most people would say there is nothing special to be rejoicing about?
Are you merciful when someone does wrong to you?
Do you let insults go and don’t take offense?
Are you at peace in your mind and heart even when things seem to be going against you?
If you answer “yes” to these you are Spirit filled.
To be Spirit-filled you must think My thoughts as you learn them in My written Word (the Bible). Line up your mind with My Word. Exchange your thoughts for Mine. Eliminate destructive thought patterns. Respond to trials by My Word instead of by fear and discouragement.
When you are Spirit-filled you are living in My love and you are operating in love. Then the two greatest Commandments come to you naturally. You will love Me with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and you will love your neighbor as yourself.
Come to Me. I give you treasures out of darkness. Draw close to Me and I will draw close to you. Keep My Word and then you abide in My Love. And then I reveal Myself to you by My Spirit in you. For My Spirit knows My deepest thoughts. 1 Corinthians 2:10-11.
And you have the mind of Christ (the anointed one) for you are indwelt by the same Spirit. 1 Corinthians 2:16.
I love you. Be filled with My Spirit and make My thoughts your own. They are wonderful.
