I rejoice at Your Word, as one who finds great spoil. Psalm 119:162.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
Seeking is receiving before you find it. You seek by faith and you receive by rejoicing in the assurance of the promise you find in My Word.
Your words were found and I ate them, and Your words became for me a joy and the delight of my heart. Jeremiah 15:16.
Why do My Words give joy and delight to your heart? Because of the promises they contain. When you find the promise, you should ponce on it like treasure, like the spoil of battle that is yours. Jesus fought the battle for it and the spoils of victory are yours!
My Servant will justify the many, as He will bear their iniquities. Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great, and He will divide the spoil with the strong. Isaiah 53:11-12.
Jesus despoiled the devil and the demons with him. The leasehold Adam gave him has not run out yet so he is still in the world, but for you who are in Christ he is a totally defeated foe.
When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our sins, having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. When He had despoiled the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through the Cross. Colossians 2:13-15.
Don’t let him steal your benefits that Christ won for you, enforce the victory and take the cargoes he has swallowed up out of his belly. Release those who have been captive to him for generations.
Cargoes of gold and silver and precious stones and pearls and fine linen and purple and silk and scarlet, and every kind of citron wood and every article of ivory and every article made from very costly wood and bronze and iron and marble, and cinnamon and spice and incense and perfume and frankincense and wine and olive oil and fine flour and wheat and cattle and sheep, and cargoes of horses and chariots and slaves and human lives. Revelation 18:12-13.
Don’t have any fear of him, he has been conquered, you can plunder his house with joy and thanksgiving for all the good I stored up for you.
When Judah came to the lookout of the wilderness, they looked toward the multitude, and behold, they were corpses lying on the ground, and no one had escaped. When Jehoshaphat and his people came to take their spoil, they found much among them, including goods, garments and valuable things which they took for themselves, more than they could carry. And they were three days taking the spoil because there was so much. Then on the fourth day they assembled in the valley of Beracah, for there they blessed the LORD. Therefore they have named that place “The Valley of Beracah (Blessing)” until today. Every man of Judah and Jerusalem returned with Jehoshaphat at their head, returning to Jerusalem with joy, for the LORD had made them to rejoice over their enemies. They came to Jerusalem with harps, lyres and trumpets to the house of the LORD. And the dread of God was on all the kingdoms of the lands when they heard that the LORD had fought against the enemies of Israel. So the kingdom of Jehoshaphat was at peace, for his God gave him rest on all sides. 2 Chronicles 20:24-30.
The wealth of the wicked is stored up for the righteous, which you are in Christ Jesus. Those who receive the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness reign in life through Christ Jesus and if you are reigning you are taking back territory the devil stole.
How do you seek? With joy and delight, for all My magnificent promises, as many as they be, are all yours in Christ Jesus. And you find all these treasures set out before you in the banquet table of My Word. But like any treasure hunt you must follow the map and seize the moment. And like any buffet, you must fill your own plate.
So how are you assured you will find what you are seeking?
- Seek what you know is there. You will find My promises in My Word, especially in My Covenant Names such as the LORD your healer, the LORD who looks ahead and provides for you, the LORD your righteousness, the LORD your sanctifier, the LORD your helper, the LORD your refuge, the LORD your Shepherd, the LORD your deliverer, the LORD your redeemer, the LORD your strength, and so many others that you should be looking for and seeking when you need such.
- Come to My throne of grace with confidence with your great High Priest Jesus and RECEIVE the promise and FIND the grace you need just when you need it.
- And remember that you enter My gates with thanksgiving for what is yours in Christ and My courts with praise for all the great things I have done for you in Christ, making you holy and blameless in My sight.
The way of seeking is by receiving. The Bible is filled with visions written down for you that you should read and run with. They did the sowing and you do the reaping. But to reap you must put in the sickle and gather it into My house for distribution and provision that fulfills the vision.
Now listen to what I say: I am your shepherd, I am your guide, your life can be wondrous with Me at your side! Come to Me, run to Me, truth I’ll impart, you will gain wisdom and joy in your heart! Soaring with Me on the heights of the sky, sharing the secrets of God the Most High, enjoying the good things I put in the earth and gaining Heaven by your new birth!
You are in the best of times for you have Heaven open to you. When Jesus came down from Heaven no mortal had ever been there, it was shut from Adam on.
No one has ascended into heaven, but He who descended from heaven: the Son of Man. John 3:13.
But at the baptism of Jesus, the Heavens opened and down came the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove and landed. Why did He come as a dove? I know that is the symbol you now use for Him but He never appeared that way but once. Why the form of a dove? This showed, as it did in the days of Noah, that the flood had turned back, when the dove landed the earth went back to man. And I gave you the covenant sign of the rainbow, that is still around My throne. And as in days of Noah, when Jesus came like the rainbow, I have sworn never to be angry with you who are in covenant with Me again. He shields you from the wrath to come. Indeed, after the great foretelling of Jesus’ death for your sins upon the Cross reconciling you to Me in Isaiah 53 comes the promise of Isaiah 54 and the establishment of you in righteousness that comes from Me.
“For this is like the days of Noah to Me, when I swore that the waters of Noah would not flood the earth again; so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you nor will I rebuke you. For the mountains may be removed and the hills may shake, but My lovingkindness will not be removed from you, and My covenant of shalom peace will not be shaken,” says the LORD who has compassion on you. Isaiah 54:9-10.
And there is more:
“In righteousness you will be established; you will be far from oppression, for you will not fear; and from terror, for it will not come near you. If anyone fiercely assails you it will not be from Me. Whoever assails you will fall because of you. Isaiah 54:14-15.
Your life should be different now. It should be one of power and authority over the works of My hands, for Jesus took back all power and authority and gave it to you as the spoils of battle. Keep the devil under your feet, way under.
Seeking is about receiving. If you are seeking an abundant life filled with good things, seek Jesus and receive Him as Lord. He then gives you the authority to be My child and I have made you a joint heir with Christ, the firstborn of many brethren. And the firstborn blessing is the double portion. So receive the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness in Him and all is yours.
And receiving is about giving. You give to receive. So seeking is also about giving to receive.
Those who give mercy receive mercy. Those who give love, receive love.
But seeking is also about pursuing. I tell you to pursue love and then I tell you how to pursue it and it is by living and giving it.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7.
As you live it and give it, so you receive and more besides.
You seek and pursue joy by living and giving joy. If you want joy, become joy. With joy you will draw water at the springs of Salvation (Yehsuah). I am your strength and song and it is then I become your salvation.
I love you. What you seek you will find for you have received it ahead of time. The seeking brings the answer. Like the prodigal son, once the father saw the boy was seeking him again, he ran to give all he sought to him and more besides.
