The Lord (Adonai) LORD (Yahavah) is my strength, and He has made my feet like hinds’ feet, and makes me walk on my high places. For the choir director, on my stringed instruments. Habakkuk 3:19.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
I want to make your life beautiful, the most beautiful life ever lived and one of the ways I do this is by giving you My strength. To get through life in this world successfully you need strength that won’t quit. I have that and you can have it too. I give it to you without limit by faith on your part and grace on My part. You can have My strength.
I love you, O LORD, my strength! Psalm 18:1.
I am your refuge, your fortress, and your helper but I take you forward to victory by giving you My strength. A big part of the help I give you is giving you My strength and giving you the wisdom, knowledge and understanding of what to do with it.
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Ephesians 6:10.
Jesus told His disciples when He ascended back to Me after His death and resurrection that they were to wait in Jerusalem until they were clothed with power from on High. And how were they to get this power? By the baptism of the Holy Spirit and fire.
And how does the Holy Spirit give you this power? This strength to overcome? The answer is simple: by guiding you to all truth. It is the truth that will take down lies and make you strong. It is continuing, abiding, remaining in My Word that you become My disciples and come to know the truth and the truth will set you free! Freedom from all that would encumber you from going with Me to the limitless heights of what My power can do in and for you.
My apostle Paul faced tremendous opposition to his preaching of the good news of salvation, grace, and the Kingdom, primarily from government leaders, first the Jewish Sanhedrin and then the officials of various pagan towns and finally the Roman empire itself. But he stayed at peace, strong, and joyful through it all. He understood the purpose, the plan, and the reward, but above all he knew how to draw his strength out of My strength because he understood My love.
For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom the whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the sanctified what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:14-19.
When you are full of My fullness, which is the Holy Spirit filling your spirit you are filled with My strength which comes to you from the anointing by the Holy Spirit, just as He anointed Jesus with Me, and we anointed Jesus with the oil of joy. And that is your anointing as well, for My joy is your strength.
Paul understood this and he wrote that he had discovered the secret of being content whatever the circumstances he found himself in. In fact, from dark prison cell he wrote to the Philippian church that he was overflowing with joy and they believed it because he and Silas had sung joyful praise chained to the floor before many of the Philippians who later became the church at Philippi and they had witnessed the strength of My joy in you when all the prison gates flew open and everyone’s chains fell off.
Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations [n]forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21.
Jesus at the Last Supper the night before He died for your sins, left you five gifts to take you safely, strongly, successfully, and securely through your life in this world, which since Adam became a perilous place, and He gave them to you as forever gifts: His peace (shalom), His joy (the anointing), the Word of truth (your lifeline), My Name and His Name (authority, provision, and protection) and His body and blood to eat and never die (redemption, healing, cleansing, and deliverance).
But now I come to You; and these things I speak in the world so that they may have My joy made full in themselves. I have given them Your Word; and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but to keep them from evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth. As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. For their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth. John 17:13-19.
And He asked this specifically for you as well: “I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word; that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me. John 17:20-21.
You see from this very clearly that the joy and the strength lies in being sanctified, consecrated, and set apart by the truth of My Word in you.
Your Words were found and I devoured them, and Your words became for me a joy and the delight of my heart; for I have been called by Your name, O LORD God of hosts. I did not sit in the circle of merrymakers, nor did I exult. Because of Your hand upon me I sat alone, for You filled me with indignation. Jeremiah 15:16-17.
Thus it is My Word that consecrates, sanctifies you and sets you apart from the evil that is in the world. I give you My full armor to put on and the Sword of the Spirit, which is My Word, to take down strongholds and cut open the dragon’s belly to let out the human lives he is holding.
It is time you learned how to use My strength and become not only an overcomer, but more than a conqueror. It time you proclaimed with My apostle Paul: “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13.
Since I am for you, and you know I am for I have taken away all your sins in Christ and thus I gave My beloved Son for you, who can be against you and win? No one and nothing. You have the Name above every other name, you have the blood with which you are cleansed and ransomed, you have My peace, you have the anointing of the oil of joy (and My joy is your strength), you have My Word in your mouth, and you have My full armor, which is clothing yourself in the truth of My Word – the girdle of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the footgear of the good news of shalom peace between Me and you in Jesus, the shield of faith (which is all based on knowing the truth of who you are in Christ to take down the fiery missiles of the evil one), the helmet of salvation (the protection of your mind by its renewal in the Word), and the Sword of the Spirit (which is the defeat of Satan and all his tactics by answering with My Word). And you have the weapon that is stronger than the atomic bomb, it is the voice of thanksgiving and praise.
For the LORD God is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation.” Therefore you will joyously draw water from the springs of salvation. And in that day you will say, “Give thanks to the LORD, call on His name. Make known His deeds among the peoples; make them remember that His name is exalted.” Praise the LORD in song, for He has done excellent things; let this be known throughout the earth. Isaiah 12:2-5.
You have all these things that make you strong and unconquerable no matter how small you are in comparison to those who are looking to attack you, like David before Goliath, Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah before three vicious enemy armies that way outnumbered them, Elisha and his servant surrounded by a force of thousands of enemy soldiers, and John exiled to the island of Patmos by the emperor of Rome to die there, all these people came out more than conquerors surrounded by the shield of My good Will and filled with strength to overcome. Why? Because they heard the Word from Me and knew what to do and they were grateful, expressing it with the joyful shouts and songs of the voice of thanksgiving, and this worked wonders every time and will for you as well.
I love you. I have all these gifts for you to make you strong in Me against every weapon that forms against you or tries to take you down, they are just waiting for your faith to show up and receive them.
