See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many be defiled; that there be no immoral or godless person like Esau, who sold his own birthright for one meal. Hebrews 12:15-16.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
Do you value the birthright I have given you in Christ? Do you ever even consider what it means that in Jesus you have been born again from above and are My children and my heirs? But not just any heir, you are joint heirs with Christ.
The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ. Romans 8:16-17.
In Him I have given you the birthright of the firstborn.
But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels in festal gathering, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven. Hebrews 12:22-23.
Which is the double portion and the blessing of Abraham along with the promise of the Spirit by faith.
But you will be called the priests of the LORD; you will be spoken of as ministers of our God. You will eat the wealth of nations, and in their riches you will boast. Instead of your shame you will have a double portion, and instead of humiliation they will shout for joy over their portion. Therefore they will possess a double portion in their land, everlasting joy will be theirs. Isaiah 61:6-7.
You are in a royal line, born again from above of My Word and of My Kingdom. You are My child and I reign as King forever and you are joint heirs with the King of kings and the Lord of lords who has released you from your sins by His blood and made you a kingdom, priests unto Me. You are a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people set apart for the praise of My glory (My goodness, power and presence) rescued by Me from darkness and translated into My own marvelous light and in My light you become light, children of light in whom, like Me, there is no darkness, only pure unfailing light.
See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; and such we are. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is. And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. 1 John 3:1-3.
I have rescued you out of darkness and transformed you by My own marvelous light and made you My heirs and joint heirs with Christ who is the Light of the World so that you will never walk in darkness but have the light of life. But many are not living in My marvelous light, holding their vessel in the light to be continually cleansed by Jesus’ blood and filled with the anointing. They are focusing on the flesh and its desires and letting it rule over their spirits. How could this be when they have all the riches of the Kingdom set before them for the partaking? Their attention is not in the right place, it is focused below and not above and this is causing them to serve the flesh, which is noisy and demanding, pushy and profane, and not the spirit. And whether your spirit will dominate to give you a pure and peaceful life filled with good days in the light or your flesh will dominate to give you a lustful and impure life in which there is no rest and many depressed and tormented days in the dark is determined by what you are primarily feeding upon.
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary. Galatians 6:7-9.
Jesus told the devil when he came to tempt Him with living only to feed the flesh that man does not live on physical food only but on every Word that proceeds from My mouth. There are those that eat to live, for without nourishing food your body will not function for long, but there are those that live to eat whose god is their belly and they seek only to satiate themselves with things of this world that feed the lust that craves in their flesh and never says “enough” to curtail its flesh. If you do not discipline and keep your flesh under it will corrupt and destroy your life, physical and spiritual. Do not let your flesh lead you because it will lead you down a path of death to an early grave.
A believer has no business playing with profane fire for it is opening up the pit of hell into your life and that is somewhere you do not want to go.
We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is. And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. 1 John 3:1-3.
Consider the twins Jacob and Essau. Jacob knew what the first born blessing of the double portion was and the Blessing of Abraham. He longed for both. And yet Essau was the firstborn, though even from the womb, Jacob sought to take that blessing.
Isaac prayed to the LORD on behalf of his wife, because she was barren; and the LORD answered him and Rebekah his wife conceived. But the children struggled together within her; and she said, “If it is so, why then am I this way?” So she went to inquire of the LORD The LORD said to her, “Two nations are in your womb; and two peoples will be separated from your body; and one people shall be stronger than the other; and the older shall serve the younger.” Genesis 25:21-24.
Esau was the firstborn of the two, though Jacob was hanging on to his heel. Esau liked to hunt outdoors but Jacob liked to stay home and live a quiet life. Once when Esau came in from hunting and was hungry, he saw Jacob cooking a lentil stew and demanded to eat it. Jacob sold it to him for Esau’s birthright as the firstborn in exchange for the bowl of beans. Esau cared more for the flesh and its immediate gratification and despised his birthright so he thought nothing of selling it for a bowl of beans. You may think that meant nothing at all or you may think Esau was just being foolish at that moment, but by finding filling the lust of his flesh and grabbing immediate gratification in the world more important than the double portion inheritance and being the recipient of the Blessing of Abraham, which were spiritually discerned as something valuable beyond what you can capture by your flesh alone, but it sealed his future and kept him out of the line of the Messiah. Eventually his offspring and line, which became the nation of Edom in the hill country of Seir, who did not follow the Covenant I made with Abraham, were totally eradicated and none was left. Do you know who the last well known Edomites were before their disappearance from the annuls of history? Herod the Great, who became king of Judea under Roman rule, and was the one who ordered the massacre of the boys two years old and under in Bethlehem to try to eradicate the Messiah as King of kings and Lord of lords, and his son Herod Antipas, who had John the Baptist beheaded and mocked Jesus the day of His condemnation and death, who died struck down by an angel as he paraded around being called a god and not a man. They too despised their birthright in Isaac and eventually had an active role in killing My Son.
Be careful how you live, watch over your thoughts, words, and actions. Watch out for allowing an uncontrolled flesh. The fruit of the spirit includes self-control, enjoy it.
A family of uncontrolled flesh began with Essau who despised his birthright as cheap and preferred going after the desires of his flesh, limiting himself to this life only and grabbing what he could to feed his flesh but not his spirit. He had no gratitude for what I had given him and neither did his descendants. Herod was not grateful for the kingship given him under Roman rule. He was not a descendant of David and should never have been given a kingship over My people. And all his high office meant to him was a larger avenue of authority to feed his flesh, his immorality, his desire for wealth and palaces, and his lusts for the worldly things. He cared nothing about justice for the people.
But think about yourself now. Are you grateful for the birthright I have given you in Christ Jesus as a firstborn child of Mine and a joint heir of the double portion of infinite supply? That in Christ I have already blessed you with every blessing in Heaven as your inheritance that you have access to now? Are you like David who sat before Me and asked, “Who am I Lord that you have done all this for me and shown me such favor?” And Jacob asked the same.
I am unworthy of all the lovingkindness and of all the faithfulness which You have shown to Your servant; for with my staff only I crossed this Jordan, and now I have become two companies. Genesis 32:10
And Jacob at the end of his life on earth called Me the Shepherd who cared for him all his life and kept him safe and prospered him. Jacob was the first one to liken Me to a good shepherd.
In Christ I opened a new and living way for you right into the Holy of holies and seated you in Heaven in the spirit next to Me in Christ. Have you ever sat still and thanked Me for that? Or do you mope in depression and complaining questioning My goodness to you when you have everything and more for life and godliness? Do not ignore and throw aside as cheap so great a salvation. It cost Me everything to freely give it to you in Christ. Hold up your head and walk in a manner worthy of the calling I have given you as My royal priesthood and a holy nation, a people consecrated to Me in truth, that I have called into My own miraculous light in which is the fountain of life.
Do not be casting your pearls before swine, living in immorality, strife, scoffing, and ingratitude. I made you perfect and just who you should be to be happy and fruitful. Why do you have to ignore and despise your birthright and say I made a mistake and try to change your gender to something you were never meant to be or become? That is not transformation and transfiguration, that is perversion by worldly persuasion and devilish purpose. It cost them everything in Sodom and Gomorrah. There were not even ten righteous people there, perversion and uncontrolled flesh can destroy you and everything lovely and noble in your life and make you nothing but a slave to your flesh, which is the life the devil has planned for you starting with his fall with Adam. He is always tampering with you to corrupt the seed of My Word in youby planting his lies and deception. But you can be his master by answering his lies with the truth that is in My Word which sets you free to be the beautiful, untarnished, pure and perfect YOU I made YOU to be.
I love you. I made you in My image to be perfect and to reign over all the works of My hands. And yet many let the things of the world reign over them. But it all starts with your birthright in Me, in My image and according to My likeness. Adam was not grateful for his birthright, in fact he despised it and gave it up for forbidden fruit, and that is where his downfall and that of his descendants began. And that is where the downfall of Esau and all descendants began as well. Remember where your treasure is, there your heart is also. There is a way that seems right in the lustful eyes of a man that leads to death. The tree looked good to Eve. But knowing the truth of certain death it should not have been attractive at all. But many today are running after and indulging in things that steal, kill, and destroy the life I gave them. You have one life to live. Don’t mess it up by ungrateful, greedy flesh. Your flesh is destined for the grave. But your spirit and soul are forever and will get a new and glorious body that is not of this world. And no one ever will want to pervert that body or even have an inkling of a desire to change it. When you have the best and know it, you are at rest. Joy comes in knowing the truth, it will make your heart sing.
