The sower sows the Word. Mark 4:14.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:

If you want to know Me and have the promises I give you come to pass in your life, then you must know the way I work and create. I am the God who sows seed. And I gave you that Name: Jezreel (Yizreel: יִזְרְעֵאל).

“I will betroth you to Me forever; yes, I will betroth you to Me in righteousness and in justice, in lovingkindness and in compassion, and I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness. Then you will know the LORD.  “It will come about in that day that I will respond,” declares the LORD, “I will respond to the heavens, and they will respond to the earth, and the earth will respond to the grain, to the new wine and to the oil, and they will respond to Jezreel. I will sow her for Myself in the land. I will also have compassion to the one who had not obtained compassion, and I will say to those who were called ‘not My people,’ ‘You are My people!’ and they will say, ‘You are my God!’” Hosea 2:19-23.

The Name “Jezreel” is the combination of two Hebrew words, zara (זָרַע), which is the verb meaning “to sow seed” (the noun of the verb is zera (זֶרַע) meaning “seed”), and El (אֵל), which means “God.”

What is a seed? Essentially a seed contains the complete plan for what it produces but though it has the power to produce, it is dormant until put in the right medium to germinate. With respect to plants, a seed is the embryonic stage of the plant life cycle consisting of three parts: embryo, endosperm, and seed coat. The embryo is a tiny plant that has a root, a stem, and one or more leaves. The endosperm is the nutritive tissue of the seed, often a combination of starch, oil, and protein. The seed coat is a protective covering that keeps seed viable for long periods of time.

The seed knows what to do, but it does nothing until planted and cultivated though the plant it contains and the power to produce it are there within it.

Once the seed is planted in the correct medium for growth, such as soil, it begins to germinate and at the appointed time what is inside the seed ruptures the seed coat and the plant contained within bursts forth into the earth, first putting down a root and then putting up the shoot that bears fruit that can be harvested to eat and containing seeds of like kind that can be planted to produce more plants of like kind that produce the same fruit to harvest. The type of seed you plant and cultivate determines the harvest you will get.

What is the seed that I sow? My Word. And Jesus, who is the Word I sowed that became flesh to dwell among you (and He is the Word that contains the plan and promise of salvation unto eternal life), defined this for you quite clearly. It is the first parable He told and you must understand this to know how to receive everything I have promised. But I had taught this many times and in many ways from the beginning of creation until now. The Bible is based on this principle: seed, time, and harvest. Genesis 8:22.

He began to teach again by the sea. And such a very large crowd gathered to Him that He got into a boat in the sea and sat down; and the whole crowd was by the sea on the land.  And He was teaching them many things in parables, and was saying to them in His teaching,  “Listen to this! Behold, the sower went out to sow;  as he was sowing, some seed fell beside the road, and the birds came and ate it up.  Other seed fell on the rocky ground where it did not have much soil; and immediately it sprang up because it had no depth of soil.  And after the sun had risen, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.  Other seed fell among the thorns, and the thorns came up and choked it, and it yielded no crop.  Other seeds fell into the good soil, and as they grew up and increased, they yielded a crop and produced thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold.”  And He was saying, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.” Mark 4:1-9.

His disciples did not understand this parable, it was the first one Jesus told, so for your sake as well He explained it:

And He said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? How will you understand all the parables? The sower sows the word. These are the ones who are beside the road where the word is sown; and when they hear, immediately Satan comes and takes away the word which has been sown in them. In a similar way these are the ones on whom seed was sown on the rocky places, who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with joy; and they have no firm root in themselves, but are only temporary; then, when affliction or persecution arises because of the word, immediately they fall away. And others are the ones on whom seed was sown among the thorns; these are the ones who have heard the word,  but the worries of the world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things enter in and choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.  And those are the ones on whom seed was sown on the good soil; and they hear the word and accept it and bear fruit, thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold.” Mark 4:13-20.

And in the gospel of Luke we are told what good soil is: But the seed in the good soil, these are the ones who have heard the Word in an honest and good heart, and hold it fast, and bear fruit with perseverance. Luke 8:15.

It is just as I told Joshua when I assigned him to lead My people into the Promised Land to conquer what looked to the prior generation as impossible to attain. But Joshua had the spirit of faith and I told him how to cultivate that promise to have it for sure.

This book of the law (torah (תּוֹרָה)) shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate (hagah (הָגָה), speak, murmur, ponder, mutter) on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:8-9.

Do you see? You get the promise, you plant it (hear it with faith) and cultivate it (keep hearing it, speak it, ponder it, do it until it becomes your thought and way). The Word you heard with faith begins by preparing the soil, then plants the seed in your heart, and then produces the promise, giving more seed for the sower and bread for the eater, then when the time comes when you need it, you put in the sickle, partake of the harvest, and you have the promise. This is guaranteed. It worked for Joshua with My promise of conquering the promised land and it is the way all My many promises come to pass for you.

Not one of the good promises which the LORD had made to the house of Israel failed; all came to pass. Joshua 21:45.

Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord; seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust. 2 Peter 1:2-4.

This I also revealed to My prophet Isaiah:

Seek the LORD while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the LORD, and He will have compassion on him, and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon. For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” declares the LORD. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return there without watering the earth and making it fertile and fruitful, and furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater; so will My Word be which goes forth from My mouth; it will not return to Me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:6-11.

The Word from Heaven (the Bible is full of My thoughts and Words so you can plant them in your heart and put them in your mouth), when you hear My Word with faith, My Word prepares the soil, it planted the seed in your heart, and produced the promise, giving more seed for the sower and bread for the eater, then when the time comes when you need it, put in the sickle and partake of the fruit of the harvest and you have the promise. It is the same for each of My many promises. You plant that seed and the fruit of that seed is there for your lips to speak from the plant in your heart just when you need it, that is when you yield the sickle. It is imperishable seed and imperishable fruit.

And He was saying, “The kingdom of God is like a man who casts seed upon the soil;  and he goes to bed at night and gets up by day, and the seed sprouts and grows—how, he himself does not know.  The soil produces crops by itself; first the blade, then the head, then the mature grain in the head. But when the crop permits, he immediately puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.” Mark 4:26-29.

The first seed you must plant and grow has your eternal life and glorified body in its embryo covered by the seed coat that is later shed back into the earth. It is the good news, the Word, of your salvation.
Having trusted in Christ, in whom, you also, after having heard the Word of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is given as a pledge (arrabón (ἀρραβών): pledge, guarantee, deposit, i.e., an installment; a deposit (“earnest money, down-payment”) which guarantees the balance (the full purchase-price) will be given) of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of our acquired possession, to the praise of His glory. Ephesians 1:12-14.

And how do you plant the seed of eternal life and indeed the seeds of any of My many promises? The same way you receive the seed of the Word of your salvation:

But what does it say? “The Word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;  for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.  For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed.”  For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him;  for “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:8-13.

And that is the way you get born again from above by pulling out the seed of the lie that Adam took in as the seed of which he was born again from below when he reject My imperishable Word of truth by which he was first born and receiving again the imperishable Word of truth to grow in you and you grow thereby into My image and according to My likeness:

For you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God. For, “All flesh is like grass, and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls off, but the Word of the Lord endures forever.” And this is the word which was preached to you. 1 Peter 1:23-25.

And that is the way you do with every Word from My mouth you receive it by faith.

But having the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed, therefore I spoke,” we also believe, therefore we also speak, knowing that He who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and will present us with you. 2 Corinthians 4:13-14.

You believe in your heart (the seed plants) and speak from your mouth (cultivates the seed to germinate) and do what it says (brings it to full maturity).

Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude. Colossians 2:6-7.

And it is a process of renewing your mind to think the thoughts of the seed to produce in your life fruit according to the likeness of God.

Therefore, putting aside all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander, like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the Word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation, if you have tasted the lovingkindness of the Lord. 1 Peter 2:1-3.

Jesus has the words of eternal life and He told you to be careful what you hear, listen to, pay attention to and take into your heart. Good or evil it will grow. Guard your heart for in it grow the issues of life.

How do you take a thought? By saying it.

But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith! Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing?’ For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:30-33.

Many thoughts will come into your mind. They can be from Me or from the world, the flesh and the devil. Make sure you are planting and feeding yourself Spirit food to produce Spirit fruit and not flesh food to produce flesh fruit.

The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23.

Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Galatians 5:19-21.

The seed  is there in what you hear but you do not have to take it in and plant it.

Do not quench the Spirit; do not despise prophetic utterances. But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good; abstain from every form of evil. Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass. 1 Thessalonians 5:19-24.

Solomon, to whom I gave wisdom because he asked for a heart that heard from Me, told you how to plant the right seeds in your heart and grow them to harvest:

My son, give attention to My Words; incline your ear to My sayings. Do not let them depart from your sight; keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those who find them and health to all their body. Watch over your heart with all diligence, for from it flow the springs of life. Put away from you a deceitful mouth and put devious speech far from you. Let your eyes look directly ahead and let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you. Watch the path of your feet and all your ways will be established. Do not turn to the right nor to the left; turn your foot from evil. Proverbs 4:20-27.

This is what I taught Joshua as well and David sets it out in Psalm 1. It is all about where you put your attention. That is the seed you will grow.

How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law (torah) of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither; and in whatever he does, he prospers. Psalm 1:1-3.

You notice My Word gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater. There are times when you need an immediate miracle right there on the spot. Like when Jesus raised Jairus’ daughter from the dead. He told Jairus, “Do not fear, only believe.” Find the promise, the Word, the seed that applies, such as healing, resurrection power, that death is not My Will, and the process can be immediate—you plant it and speak it with faith (and no fear) and it is done. When you have the Word from Me that is when no one can budge you off it. The reaper overtakes the sower, this works when two or three gather in My Name as well. The one who has grown it in their heart to full harvest already by prayer and meditation in Scripture lays hands on the one that has not been so diligent about it. The prayer of agreement as well. Others have done the labor, you have taken the gain.

Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to accomplish His work. Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest. Already he who reaps is receiving wages and is gathering fruit for life eternal; so that he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. For in this case the saying is true, ‘One sows and another reaps.’ I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored and you have entered into their labor.” John 4:34-37.

“Behold, days are coming,” declares the LORD, when the plowman will overtake the reaper and the treader of grapes him who sows seed; when the mountains will drip sweet wine and all the hills will be dissolved.” Amos 9:13.

And that is what Jesus meant when He said anything you ask with faith in His Name HE will do with and through you. Like Peter and John raising the cripple to walk at the beautiful gate of the temple.

Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it. John 14:12-14.

And how will He do it? By pouring My Spirit into your spirit. Resurrection power working in you.

If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.  I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.  John 14:16-17.

But that is not all, when you take in My Word it is imperishable seed and in that seed My life is in you. For I am My Word, it contains My divine nature and is a living Word, living and working in you to take you from glory to glory. And what does My Word in you go to work to produce? It grows in you to change you into My image and according to My likeness. Remember? Seeds produce in kind!

Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so. The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:11-12.

I love you. I have made Jesus the High Priest of your confession (homologia – complete agreement with Him and He only says My Words and does My works because He is the Word), plant the seeds of My Word with Him and He will bring them to Me and I watch over My Word to perform it. Return it to Me by growing it to harvest in your heart. It will not return to Me void. It will achieve the purpose for which I sowed it. Remember, I am the God who sows seed, the seed of My Word. That is the way I made the world and that is the way it is replenished and sustained. And I gave that joy to you and I empowered you to do it by the Blessing.

God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Genesis 1:27-28.

“As for Me, this is My covenant with them,” says the LORD: “My Spirit which is upon you, and My Words which I have put in your mouth shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your offspring, nor from the mouth of your offspring’s offspring,” says the LORD, “from now and forever.” Isaiah 59:21.
