You have given commandment to save me, for You are my rock and my fortress. Psalm 71:3.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:

I am the God of your salvation. Salvation is the state of being saved or protected from harm or a dire situation. It is your deliverance from sin and its consequences. It is saving you from the judgment that Adam received for sin, which was death, eternal death. Sin put you all in a very dire situation for which there was no earthly remedy, for you were all lost, but I sent a Savior to seek out and save the lost at His own expense.

Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; for You I wait all the day. Psalm 25:5.

In Hebrew the word for “salvation” is yeshuah (יְשׁוּעָה), which is translated in different ways but means them all: salvation, deliverance, victory, prosperity, health. And it is the Name I gave My Son, Yeshuah, which you translate as Jesus. And in Greek, the word for salvation is sótéria (σωτηρία), which means salvation but also includes deliverance, healing, prosperity, and health.

Forgiveness of your sins is a huge part of salvation.

According to the greatness of Your compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin . . . Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, the God of my salvation; then my tongue will joyfully sing of Your righteousness. Psalm 51:1-2,14.

And My gift of righteousness, My righteousness, goes with salvation.

He shall receive a blessing from the LORD and righteousness from the God of his salvation. Psalm 24:5.

I accounted all your sins to Jesus so that He became sin for you and paid your judgment and satisfied your sentence of condemnation in full so there is nothing left to pay. You are freed from eternal death to eternal life. He alone won you the throne with Me so that at His Name every knee must bow to My glory, for salvation, covenant, and everlasting love were all there for you in Him.

Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of Your Name; and deliver us and forgive our sins for Your name’s sake. Psalm 79:9.

In baptism, you clothe yourself in Christ and I wrap you in a robe of righteousness, My own righteousness. There is none higher.

I will rejoice greatly in the LORD, my soul will exult in my God; for He has clothed me with garments of salvation, He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness, As a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. Isaiah 61:10.

It is My upmost desire that all people be saved and come to know the truth and I have commanded your salvation.

You have given commandment to save me, for You are my rock and my fortress. Psalm 71:3.

Did you know that? I do not just desire it. I have commanded it. You can obey My commands or not but Jesus obeyed with delight. He came down to save you.

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.” John 3:16-17.

Since Adam and Eve lost eternal life for all of you by sin, for the wages of sin is death, there was primarily one purpose I had for all of you, and that was to save you as My own and bring you back home to Me so you can dwell with Me and I with you FOREVER.

And though you have not seen Him (Christ Jesus), you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, obtaining as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:8-9.

But you must receive Him as your own salvation to be established in it in your own life. How do you do that?

“Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; for the LORD God is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation.” Isaiah 12:2.

You sing about it.

Now I would have you study the secrets of Salvation hidden long ago to be fulfilled in you who now believe in the One whose Name is Salvation, that is, Yeshuah, which in English is rendered “Jesus.”

As to this salvation, the prophets who prophesied of the grace that would come to you made careful searches and inquiries, seeking to know what person or time the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating as He predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow. It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves, but you, in these things which now have been announced to you through those who preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven—things into which angels long to look. 1 Peter 1:10-12.

Now let us turn to the treasure in Psalm 71.

In You, O LORD, I have taken refuge; let me never be ashamed. In Your righteousness deliver me and rescue me; incline Your ear to me and save me. Be to me a rock of habitation to which I may continually come; You have given commandment to save me, for You are my rock and my fortress. Psalm 71:1-3.

As Jesus came into the world He sang that to do My Will was His delight and My law was within His heart. And when you believed in Him, I sealed you in Him by the Holy Spirit and I have commanded Him to lose nothing I give Him but raise you up on the Last Day.

Rescue me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the grasp of the wrongdoer and ruthless man, for You are my hope; O Lord GOD, You are my confidence from my youth. By You I have been sustained from my birth; You are He who took me from my mother’s womb; my praise is continually of You. I have become a marvel to many, for You are my strong refuge. My mouth is filled with Your praise and with Your glory all day long. Psalm 71:4-8.

I am constantly caring for you, sustaining you, forming you and forming you anew. You have My attention and My plans for you are for your shalom and not evil, a future you will love filled with hope.

Do not cast me off in the time of old age; do not forsake me when my strength fails. For my enemies have spoken against me; and those who watch for my life have consulted together, saying, “God has forsaken him; pursue and seize him, for there is no one to deliver.” O God, do not be far from me; O my God, hasten to my help! Let those who are adversaries of my soul be ashamed and consumed; let them be covered with reproach and dishonor, who seek to injure me. But as for me, I will hope continually, and will praise You yet more and more. My mouth shall tell of Your righteousness and of Your salvation all day long; for I do not know the sum of them. Psalm 71:9-15.

I never leave you or forsake you. I am the strength of those who abide in Me. I have given you all I have and am for your salvation in every situation. You are saved and that is something to sing about and talk about all day long.

I will come with the mighty deeds of the Lord GOD; I will make mention of Your righteousness, Yours alone. O God, You have taught me from my youth, and I still declare Your wondrous deeds. And even when I am old and gray, O God, do not forsake me, until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to all who are to come. For Your righteousness, O God, reaches to the heavens, You who have done great things; O God, who is like You? You who have shown me many troubles and distresses will revive me again, and will bring me up again from the depths of the earth. May You increase my greatness and turn to comfort me. I will also praise You with a harp, even Your truth, O my God; to You I will sing praises with the lyre, O Holy One of Israel. My lips will shout for joy when I sing praises to You; and my soul, which You have redeemed. My tongue also will utter Your righteousness all day long; for they are ashamed, for they are humiliated who seek my hurt. Psalm 71:16-24.

It is My Word I sent to heal you and deliver you from destruction. Let My Word dwell in your richly for it is what heals and saves you. And when you are preaching and teaching My Word you come not whimpering and bemoaning but with confidence as you come into each place with mighty deeds from Me to share.

Have you noticed? Salvation is entwined with joyful singing and praise with musical instruments and shouts of joy. I will also praise You with a harp, even Your truth, O my God; to You I will sing praises with the lyre, O Holy One of Israel. My lips will shout for joy when I sing praises to You; and my soul, which You have redeemed. Psalm 71:22-23.

The strength, the power, the mighty deeds and wonders come with the joyful shouts of victory because of your salvation.

The LORD is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation. The sound of joyful shouting and salvation the right hand of the LORD does valiantly. The right hand of the LORD is exalted; the right hand of the LORD does valiantly. I will not die, but live and tell of the works of the LORD. Psalm 118:14-17.

I love you and I am the God of your Salvation. Yeshuah. You are saved, saved forever. And once you have it, once you received and took it as your own with joy, you can never lose it. And that is something to sing about forever. And you will.

After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could count, from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palm branches were in their hands; and they cry out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.” And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures; and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God,saying, “Amen, blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might, be to our God forever and ever. Amen.” Revelation 7:9-12.
