For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law but under grace. Romans 6:14.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
The only way you will get successfully through life in the world to life forever in the Kingdom is by grace.
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds. Titus 2:11-14.
There is so much revelation in that passage penned by Paul in his letter to Titus under the influence of the Spirit that you need to understand to know Me and to know and understand yourself.
To be at peace in yourself and with Me and others, not living in strife but in peace, you must know the old and the new, that is, the difference between the flesh and the spirit and the function of the soul. And this has to do with the progression by My Word changing you and working in you from the old man of flesh under the law to the new man of the spirit under grace.
And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. Ephesians 2:1-10.
And when you know these things, which you can only know by revelation from My Spirit which takes place through My Word, you can live in perfect love and peace with no fear and no variation by turning. The emotions (flesh) no longer lead you into striving against My thoughts and ways but your spirit leads you in a life in agreement (homologia) with My thoughts and ways. Perfect love casts out all fear, because fear has to do with punishment based on lawless actions of the flesh that are contrary to My law of love.
But the good news is that the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. For the law was given through Moses to curtail the flesh into godliness but grace and truth came in and through Jesus Christ to re-create you in godliness so no curtailment is necessary. Living by the flesh produces fruit (deeds) that needs curtailment by outward restraints, by just laws to avoid destroying you and others. Living by the spirit produces fruit (deeds) that needs no curtailment for it is operating in the perfect law of liberty that only elevates and never destroys.
Being under grace makes all the difference in how I speak with you and deal with you. Just read the instructions and laws I give Moses in the book of Leviticus, the perverted practices I address all had to do with unrestrained flesh that needed My Word to be curtailed. But even then those who got filled with My Word like Joshua, Samuel, David, Isaiah, Elijah, Elisha, Daniel and others who loved the Law and followed My Word by meditating upon it and speaking it day and night, joining in Covenant with Me curtailed the deeds of the flesh and produced the fruit of the Spirit in their lives.
“As for Me, this is My covenant with them,” says the LORD: “My Spirit which is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your offspring, nor from the mouth of your offspring’s offspring,” says the LORD, “from now and forever.” Isaiah 59:21.
The Word was what could set them on the right course and make them holy but it was in the letter of the law. But then the Word stepped off the page and completed the good work the Word had begun in you and birthed you as a new creation from above. My Word became flesh and brought your spirit to new birth by the incorruptible seed of My Word being received into your spirit and taking out the perishable lie that had birthed Adam from eternal life to eternal death and set his heart against Me. In Christ, your stony spirit that was dead to Me and alive to sin is born again to be alive to Me and dead to sin. And it is by grace, My life in you as a gift through Christ.
Adam’s rejection of the Word of truth for a perishable lie took you out of the realm of the spirit to the realm of the flesh, below the light line in the darkness. But My Word is the Light of the world, rescuing you from the realm of darkness and translating you to the Kingdom of My beloved Son, qualifying you for the inheritance of the saints in light, which is your joint heirship with Christ.
By grace, you are a totally new creation in Christ no longer bound by the limits of the flesh that kept you under the law of sin and death.
Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. Romans 8:1-4.
For My grace has appeared in Jesus Christ bringing salvation to all men. Whom the Son sets free is free indeed. Freed from the prison of walking in the flesh in strife with My Spirit.
Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is the slave of sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son does remain forever. So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.” John 8:34-36.
By grace I have saved you through faith, for I have remade you in My image and according to My likeness in Christ so that you are now freed from all the things which you could not be freed of under the law of Moses.
Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through Jesus Christ forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you, and through Him everyone who believes is freed from all things, from which you could not be freed through the Law of Moses. Acts 13:38-39.
Grace frees you from the evil that is in you because of living by the flesh. It takes it out. The sting of death is sin. Living according to the flesh, you were a slave of sin, but living by the spirit, you are the master of sin.
For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law but under grace. Romans 6:14.
The old man was of the flesh, living by the flesh, which is hostile to Me, and had to be curtailed by the law and fear of punishment. The new man is of the spirit and lives by grace and is in agreement with Me and has no fear of punishment because as My Son is so are you before Me. And He is the High Priest of your confession, which is the word “homologia” in the Greek language in which the New Testament was originally written, which means you are in complete agreement with My Word, it is your mindset just like Mine. Perfect unity makes for perfect love, in which there is no fear of punishment, only agreement of purpose, plan, power, and pursuit resulting in partnership in life and beyond.
If you are in strife with Me you are walking in the flesh and not the spirit. In the flesh you are NOT in agreement with Me but separated by sin. You are acting in lawlessness and need curtailment to avoid destruction. I sent My Word to heal you and deliver you from destruction. So when you are in strife with Me you need more Word in you because when you are walking in the flesh My thoughts are higher than yours and so are My ways.
But when you are walking in the spirit you are in union with Me, that is, you are in agreement with My Words and are one in love with Me, and your thoughts are the same as My thoughts. Your mind is set above where you are seated with Christ in the Spirit at My right hand. In the spirit, you are acting according to the law without even realizing it for it is who you have become. Homologia is the dividing line. What are your thoughts and words expressing? Homologia (agreement, speaking the same in perfect unity) or strife with My Words and ways.
Grace is the completed work of the Law. The Word was working in the Old Man but when the Word took flesh grace came to your humanity and set you free from sin and death to be a new creation. The old had to die, the wages of sin is death, for the new to arise. And I did this for you in Christ. When He died to sin once for all, you died to sin in Him, and when I raised Him from the dead with your judgment paid, your sentence satisfied, and all your sin gone, I raised you up with Him and in Him to newness of life.
The old body corrupted by sin had to die for the new to arise. Like the burnt offering of old, beauty for your ashes. The flesh had taken over under Adam’s fall but now for those in Christ the spirit rules by grace. The law began it but grace completed it. Grace brought salvation to all in Christ Jesus. You are now complete in Christ. And this is My doing.
Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass. 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24.
You are saved from the body of death by the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus.
For I joyfully concur with the law of God in the inner man, but I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members. Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! Romans 7:22-25.
I have set you free from the rule of the flesh by your born again spirit in Christ. Understand this, you are no longer trapped by the body that you should give in to its whims, cravings and emotions, you walk now in the Spirit of holiness who is in you by grace to make you godly.
But again, you must understand that though I have awakened your spirit in new birth and the power and instruction (My life) by My Spirit in you joining with your spirit as one to enable you to live godly and be like Me, your mind is still the same mind you have always had, that is, your soul which is made up of your mind, will and emotions, which must be fed and trained by your spirit and My Spirit in you, for your soul is the link between spirit and flesh that determines your operating system. And for your soul it is the same as for that of the old man, that is, you must get full of My Word to think and speak as I do.
So as far as renewing your mind into agreement with Me so your spirit wins the control over your flesh and the flesh does not take control of your soul instead of your spirit, you must be feeding on spirit food, which is My Word and it is exactly the same instructions I gave Joshua, Solomon, David, and so many others for My Word is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
As for God, His way is blameless; the Word of the LORD is tested; He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him. For who is God, besides the LORD? And who is a rock, besides our God? 2 Samuel 22:31-32.
Your flesh was made to house your spirit and soul NOT to lead you. The flesh cannot lead, since Adam it is not stable and is corrupt, returning to the dust from which it was formed. Sin is of the flesh. Your spirit, joined to My Spirit, was made to lead you in Spirit and truth, not flesh, it is hostile to Me. The spirit must control if you want life and peace.
It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life. John 6:63.
Flesh without spirit is the animal in nature, the beasts of the field. It is 666, all flesh and no spirit. The devil tries to keep you in the flesh arena with your mind set on death. The devil knows if he can keep you in the flesh you will destroy yourself and others, just as Adam did.
In the Old Testament, such as the books of Exodus and Leviticus, the focus is on reigning in life by curtailing the flesh by the Law, that is, working out your own righteousness by keeping the Law. In the New Testament, such as the letters of Paul, Peter, James and John, the focus is on reigning in life by receiving the abundance of grace and the gift of My righteousness as your own through the redemptive work I did for you in Christ. The Old Testament emphasis in on righteousness obtained by your own works and the New Testament emphasis is on obtaining righteousness by faith in the finished work of Christ and then doing the good deeds I prepared for you in advance because you are righteous already.
The flesh breeds corruption and death but the spirit breeds immortality and life. The flesh breeds anxiety and agitation, the spirit breeds perfect peace. Flesh brings down beneath, grace elevates above. Walking in the spirit by grace produces fruit that needs no curtailment. Walking in the flesh produces fruit that needs curtailment. The law has to do with punishment for deeds done contrary to My Word. Grace has to do with perfect love that brings reward.
I love you. Grace is My idea but you are to make it your own by receiving it and rejoicing in it.
For if by the transgression of the one, death reigned through the one, much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. Romans 5:17.
