Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of Your name; and deliver us and forgive our sins for Your Name’s sake. Psalm 79:9.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
I desire that all people be saved and come to know the truth. That is why I sent Jesus—to seek out and save the lost. He came to undo the works of the devil.
But what is salvation, that is, what does it mean in your life today? Does it change things? Yes, everything. Let us look at the fourfold results of being saved: It changes your destination, your position, your nature, and your benefits. It frees you from the curse of the law of sin and death, which is poverty (lack of any kind), sickness (physical, mental, emotional), and eternal death, and gives you the Blessing which is provision, health (physical, mental, emotional), and eternal life. Salvation gives the purpose and plan of your life, along with the reward, and the power to achieve it.
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds. Titus 2:11-14.
So let us look at the fourfold increase of Salvation.
- It changes your destination.
Once you are saved, you have passed from death to life, eternal life. You are no longer under the judgment of condemnation that was upon Adam for Jesus has paid that for you by giving His eternal life in the flesh for the one you lost. He did it as your substitute but I see you in Him as if you had done it. When He died to sin once for all, you died with Him and in Him, and when I raised Him from the dead fully justified, I justified you in Him and raised you with Him and in Him. I made you a joint heir with Him of everything I have, for He was My only begotten Son when He came down from Heaven, but when I raised you with Him, He became the first born of many brethren. And being His body on earth, you are all My firstborn. Which means you have the double portion blessing of the firstborn in Him! You destination is now My glorious Kingdom (which is beyond all you can ask or think) and you will live forever with Me. You are headed home.
When you are saved you change who your master and father is, Adam took the devil as his master, father, and shepherd and was headed to same destination prepared for the devil and his angels, but when you receive Jesus, you take Me as your Master, Father, and Shepherd and you are headed to the same destination prepared for those who believe from the foundation of the world. Your destination has changed from death to life, from hell to Heaven. This not only for when you pass from this life but it is true in your current life on earth, for it has pleased Me to give you full access to the benefits of the Kingdom now and forever. Adam, by separating himself from Me and bringing death to all his descendants by the corruptible seed of the lie he lived, lost eternal life with Me. He was judged and justly condemned. But I offered a path of Salvation. Those who have receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior have passed from death to life for He has paid your judgment and satisfied your sentence of condemnation. Death is behind you, Heaven is before you, and it has changed your position of how you live your life in the world even now.
- It changes your position.
When I raised Christ from the dead with your judgment and sentence satisfied and paid in full, I raised you with and in Him. And where did He go? He ascended into the Kingdom and took the throne of the Son of Man at My right hand. And I seated you there with Him. You are above and not beneath. You are praying with Him and through Him and you are living your life through Him. You are not alone and you are constantly with Me at the throne of grace to receive (take) mercy (healing mercy, forgiveness mercy, financial mercy) and to find grace, My life in you for answers, wisdom, clever solutions and inventions, and the power to gain wealth, just when you need it. And, seated with Him and in Him, I gave you access to His authority in Heaven, on earth, and under the earth. He told you that you who believe in His Name can take that authority like a power of attorney as His body on earth and cast out demons and lay your hands on the sick and they will recover. And this is not by your power or might that you have to work it up but by My Spirit in you which Jesus won for you and poured into your hearts. You have right standing with Me and are in a position of favor and shalom peace in Jesus. You have been made righteous with His righteousness and have perfect fellowship with Me.
This also changes your position in the world. You are no longer a slave to sin living in the realm of darkness. In Jesus I have adopted you as My own children and qualified you for the inheritance of the saints in Light. I have rescued you from the power of darkness and translated you into the Kingdom of My Beloved Son, in whom you have redemption, the forgiveness of your sins. You can have days of Heaven on earth and no weapon formed against you shall prosper for your righteousness and vindication are from Me.
- It changes your nature.
When you receive Jesus as Lord by faith you are born again of the imperishable seed of My Word and are a new creation in Christ! The old man of sin has passed away and you are entirely new. Your spirit is now alive to Me and dead to sin and My Spirit can dwell in you and not just upon you as in the Old Covenant. It is like the caterpillar become the butterfly. Everything is changed though it is the same caterpillar but yet it is not because he has become a new creation.
Your soul and body are still the same but the spirit in you has become a new creation seated in Heaven with Me.
You may ask then why you are still on the earth and not just translated to Heaven when you are born again from above as a new creation sealed in the Holy Spirit forever. If you read the prayer of Jesus at the Last Supper, He prayed for you who believe in Him by the Word passed down to you in the New Testament from the disciples that you would be in the world but not of the world, filled with My glory that Jesus won for you even now. Why? Again it is fourfold: to be My ambassadors on earth from My Kingdom with the ministry of reconciling all to Me through your witness to Jesus. You are ambassadors and witnesses to reconcile all the world to Me. Gather the whole world in My love. You are to be the heralds of Salvation and the prophets of the return of My Son. So you are ambassadors and witnesses with the ministry of reconciliation and you are also My royal priesthood to intercede with Jesus, your great High Priest, at the mercy seat to speak and release My Will into the earth. And finally you are the Body of Christ to continue His work in the earth. You are to heal the sick and broken hearted, raise the dead, bring good news to the afflicted and poor, cast out demons, and be ready to do every good work and word I show you.
- It changes your benefits.
Salvation is not just having all your sins forgiven and gone with your destination as the Kingdom of Heaven, it is about salvation (deliverance, provision, prosperity, peace, abundant life, healing, health, favor, and companions that are like minded in Me) in every situation. Salvation is victory that makes you whole in every area of your life.
Psalm 103:1-5 is a good summary list of your benefits now in this life, just add to it eternal life in the Kingdom, the Holy Spirit in you and on you to take you places and to do works of excellence you never thought possible and you have good ideas of what you can take as your own out of your heavenly account that is set aside for you in Christ.
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget none of His benefits; who pardons all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases; who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion; who satisfies your days with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle. Psalm 103:1-5.
And do not forget the benefit of the angels that I have created to serve those who are heirs of Salvation. They are constantly watching over you and keeping you in perfect protection. Do not forget that benefit and call upon them for help when you need it. I can send twelve legions for you.
I love you. Do you begin to get a glimpse into the unfathomable riches that I give to you in Christ? Salvation is the best deal ever. And you take it all by faith. And it gives you a Kingdom, a purpose, a reason to be, a plan, an assignment, and a seat at My right hand.
There are 3 things you need to know, that you must know, or you will not make it through to all I have planned for you:
To fly you must have wings– a heart that sings will take the wings of the dawn (Psalm 139:9-10) and wake the dawn (Psalm 57:7-11) with your song (the Sun of Righteousness with healing in His wings, Malachi 4:1-3).
To go up you first must go down– humility comes before honors and I will exalt you on High. Proverbs 15:33; Proverbs 22:4; 1 Peter 5:6-7.
Joy is your key to eternity– a joy no one can take from you (Resurrection Joy)(John 16:21-22) for you go out with joy and are led forth by peace. Isaiah 55:12.
