I have prepared a lamp for Mine anointed. Psalm 132:17.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
I have prepared a lamp for Mine anointed. What is that lamp? Let Me take you on a journey through Scripture, for whatever I speak of in My Word I define in My Word and I tell you how you can have it and how it applies in your life.
We have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts. But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God. 2 Peter 1:19-21.
Before this Word Peter was speaking of Jesus as transfigured before them on the holy mountain while He was still walking among you in the flesh. For a moment the beauty of a born again believer glorified before Me was revealed by the Spirit of the inner man of the heart. You who have received Jesus as Lord and believe in His finished work and His exalted Name are already glorified in your spirit, the inner man of the heart, and seated in glory spiritually in Heaven with Christ at My right hand. But for now you are in the world, though not of the world, for you are citizens of My Kingdom and here as My ambassadors to show Me in Jesus to the world. You are the lamp the world is looking for in the darkness of their night of spiritual blindness.
And Peter is showing you that the words of the prophets foretelling the Messiah, the suffering servant, who took on the sins of all and justified you before Me by his life, death and resurrection, had been fulfilled in Him, so you have that prophetic word made sure and you can know the prophecies that have not come to pass as yet will in due season.
And in these inspired Words of Peter I counsel you to PAY ATTENTION to My Word as to a lamp shining in a dark place. Does that sound familiar?
My son, give attention to My Words; incline your ear to My sayings. Do not let them depart from your sight; keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those who find them and health to all their body. Proverbs 4:20-22.
My Words contain the light of life. And your spirit is the lamp I light with My Word that searches through your inmost parts, to heal, to renew, to restore, and to search your heart.
The spirit of man is the lamp of the LORD, Searching all the innermost parts of his being. Proverbs 20:27.
For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4:12.
Look to My Word in the darkness of the world, for by My Word made flesh I have rescued you from the realm of darkness, qualified you for the inheritance of the saints in light, and translated you into the Kingdom of My Beloved Son, in whom you have redemption, the forgiveness of your sins. Colossians 1:12-14. Keep your eyes on My Word to revive you and make you thrive in a dark place until your heart fills with My light of truth and you fill the world with it as well.
But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, that shines brighter and brighter until the full day. The way of the wicked is like darkness; they do not know over what they stumble. Proverbs 4:18-19.
Keep gazing at the light until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts. Wake the dawn with your song! And why the morning star?
“I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.” Revelation 22:16.
He who overcomes, and he who keeps My deeds until the end, to him I will give authority over the nations; and he shall rule them with a rod of iron, as the vessels of the potter are broken to pieces, as I also have received authority from My Father; and I will give him the morning star. Revelation 2:26-28.
He gives Himself to you who overcome and keep His deeds until the end. What are His deeds?
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. Ephesians 2:10.
The are the good deeds I created you anew in Christ Jesus to do. You are now His body, the church, upon the earth and you are empowered to go about doing good and healing all those oppressed by the devil. For as I sent Him into the world, so also has He sent you as the continuation of His ministry of reconciliation. You are My ambassadors, My witnesses, and My royal priesthood doing the works Jesus did and greater filled with My grace in Christ and the Holy Spirit of promise.
Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it. John 14:12-14.
You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. Acts 10:38.
I anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power.
“If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.” John 14:15-17.
“The Spirit of the Lord LORD is upon Me, because He anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free those who are oppressed, to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord.” Luke 4:18-19. Isaiah 61:1-2.
The Holy Spirit anointed Jesus with the oil of joy as head of the body, Psalm 45:7; Hebrews 1:8-9.
You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of joy above Your fellows. Psalm 45:7; Hebrews 1:8-9.
And the anointing on the head runs down over the whole body.
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, coming down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard, coming down upon the edge of his robes. It is like the dew of Hermon coming down upon the mountains of Zion; for there the LORD commanded the blessing—life forever. Psalm 133:1-3.
And I have given you the mind of Christ, and Christ means anointed, which is an anointed mind, a powerful and peaceful mind, a sound mind.
But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. But he who is spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no one. For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he will instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:14-16.
I have anointed you like Jesus with the Holy Spirit and power and I am with you!
“This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel saying, ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the LORD of hosts. ‘What are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become a plain; and he will bring forth the chief stone with shouts of “Grace, grace to it!”’” Zechariah 4:6-7.
And what is the prophetic Word made sure in Jesus?
But now take courage, Zerubbabel,’ declares the LORD, ‘take courage also, Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and all you people of the land take courage,’ declares the LORD, ‘and work; for I am with you,’ declares the LORD of hosts. ‘As for the promise which I made you when you came out of Egypt, My Spirit is abiding in your midst; do not fear!’ For thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘Once more in a little while, I am going to shake the heavens and the earth, the sea also and the dry land. I will shake all the nations; and they will come with the wealth of all nations, and I will fill this house with glory,’ says the LORD of hosts. ‘The silver is Mine and the gold is Mine,’ declares the LORD of hosts. ‘The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former,’ says the Lord of hosts, ‘and in this place I will give peace,’ declares the LORD of hosts.” Haggai 2:4-8.
And the second witness is in the New Testament for the present time:
And His voice shook the earth then, but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I will shake not only the earth, but also the heaven.” This expression, “Yet once more,” denotes the removing of those things which can be shaken, as of created things, so that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe; for our God is a consuming fire. Hebrews 12:26-29.
And back to the Old:
And the Lord (Adonai), whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple; and the messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight, behold, He is coming,” says the LORD of hosts. “But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire and like fullers’ soap. He will sit as a smelter and purifier of silver, and He will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, so that they may present to the LORD offerings in righteousness. Malachi 3:1-3.
And back to the New:
To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood—and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father—to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. Revelation 1:5-6.
And I tell you that I was with Jesus. Jesus told you I never left Him because He always did what was pleasing to Me. My Will prospered in His Hands. Isaiah 53:10. And you know My Will is that all people be saved and come to know the truth and once they do that they prosper and be in good health even as their soul (mind, will, and emotions) prospers by walking in the truth. As I was with Him so I am with you, My Spirit dwelling in your spirit.
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20.
What did Peter tell Cornelius and his household that made their hearts be born anew and My Holy Spirit pour down upon them baptizing them even before water baptism? The good news of the gospel of salvation in Jesus, the prophetic witness of the Messiah and Lord:
“Of Him all the prophets bear witness that through His name everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins.” Acts 10:43.
Through His Name EVERYONE who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins.
How? He paid your judgment of an eternal life for the eternal life you lost and took you sentence and satisfied it: dust you are and to dust you shall return. He became sin for you so you could become righteous in Him and He went to the dust of death for you so you will never taste death but have eternal life. But how did He reconcile man who had become evil in his thoughts and actions with Me who am holy? In Him, I took out your dead stony heart that was hard against Me and prone to evil because of the lie that Adam had planted in it and gave you the heart of Jesus that has no evil in it. The devil had no place in Him. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. And once you are in Him, then I pour love into your heart by the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38.
And you know that I abide in you by the gift of the Holy Spirit.
This is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us. The one who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. We know by this that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us. 1 John 3:23-24.
The only way you will overcome evil and go about doing good and undoing the works of the devil is by having a new heart, a living heart, born again from above, filled with the Holy Spirit so there is no room for evil and the realm of darkness, only light. I gave you My Son and that is the way I solved the sin problem, and He emptied Himself and gave you His heart and that is the way I overcome the heart connection problem. The new heart I promised to give you by My prophet Ezekiel, is the heart of Jesus. As He is so are you in this world.
See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; and such we are. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is. And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. 1 John 3:1-3.
I love you and that is why I gave you My Son. He took all your sins, pains, sickness, guilt and shame and gave you His righteousness, peace, joy, and His heart with which to love. Don’t worry, I have made you joint heirs with Christ and He owns everything. Perfect love casts out all fear.
