“The Spirit and the bride say, “Come” and let the one who is thirsty come, let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost. Revelation 22:17.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:

The invitation comes and the thirsty one comes and I will respond. I have supplied the water of life, with joy you will draw water at the springs of Yeshuah (Salvation, Jesus), just reach out and take it without cost.

First, notice who is actively sending out the invitation? The Spirit and the bride. Who is the bride?

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless. So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself; for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church, because we are members of His body. For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and shall be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. This mystery is great; but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the church. Ephesians 5:25-32.

My Covenant people I have always called My bride, My spouse, and My beloved.

And as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so your God will rejoice over you. Isaiah 62:5.

I will espouse you to Me forever. Yes, I will espouse you to Me in righteousness and in justice, in lovingkindness and in compassion, and I will espouse you to Me in faithfulness. Then you will know the LORD. Hosea 2:19-20.

“I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine, He who pastures his flock among the lilies.” Song of Songs 6:3.

But though I was a husband to them, they broke My Covenant and went to other gods.

Behold, days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, not like the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them,” declares the LORD. “But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares the LORD, “I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. They will not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,” declares the LORD, “for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.” Jeremiah 31:31-34.

But the New Covenant from which the Church was born as the body of Christ whereby Jesus made Covenant with Me as your representative and you, in Him, are all joined with Me as one.

The bride is the church, and you are each a member of it. So, the invitation is coming from the Spirit and you who are members of the body of Christ. This should sound familiar. You do not evangelize alone. It is the Spirit that gives you the words and wisdom of what to say and who is seeking, who is thirsty.

“When they bring you before the synagogues and the rulers and the authorities, do not worry about how or what you are to speak in your defense, or what you are to say; for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.” Luke 12:11-12.

Do you recall that when Stephen was witnessing to Jesus before the Jewish people that I tell you he was full of the Holy Spirit and they were unable to cope with the wisdom and the Spirit with which he was speaking? Acts 6:10. And through the Spirit he saw right into Heaven and Jesus standing and acknowledging him before Me, Acts 7:55-56, just as he was acknowledging Jesus before men.

And I say to you, everyone who confesses Me before men, the Son of Man will confess him also before the angels of God; but he who denies Me before men will be denied before the angels of God. Luke 12:8-9.

My Spirit guides you and those who will listen to the truth. My Word is truth and My Word is Jesus, so He guides you to Jesus. He testifies to Jesus.

When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, that is the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify about Me, and you will testify also, because you have been with Me from the beginning. John 15:26-27.

All the prophets were speaking the life and mission of Jesus into the earth so that through their words agreeing with Mine the way was opened for Jesus to come. The prophesied to bring new life. To bring the Messiah. To bring salvation. And it was My Spirit that was moving them.

So we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts. But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God. 2 Peter 1:19-21.

Jesus is your Teacher and He teaches you how to draw all men to Him and through Him to Me. He was the first to evangelize, that is, tell the good news of the Kingdom being at hand for He opened it to you again. I taught Abraham the gospel ahead of time by showing him Jesus in a virtual enactment with his son Isaac. Jesus told you that Abraham saw His day and was glad. Abraham had an encounter with My Spirit as well—Melchizedek, who brought him the bread and wine of the Covenant ahead of time. Let him who has ears hear what the Spirit speaks to the churches.

And Jesus worked with the Holy Spirit who filled Him from the time of His baptism at the Jordan and His days in the wilderness. And here is a lesson in how do give the invitation with the Spirit as a member of the body of Christ.

Let us consider the thirsty Samaritan woman whom Jesus passed through Samaria to meet at the inspiration of the Spirit leading Him. Jesus came to the well where the woman came to draw water. And Jesus began a conversation with her that changed her life forever. Jesus opened the conversation when He asked her for a drink. She was surprised at the request but He told her that if she but knew the gift of God she would ask Him for a drink and He would give her living water—the water that would become a well spring within her leaping up to eternal life so that she would never be thirsty again. She would never be dry and empty again. This is a beautiful way to begin to invite those who are thirsty to come.

As the conversation continued, because He had a word of knowledge from the Spirit that pertained to her life, she declared Him a prophet and then began to seek answers on where to worship, but she was really asking how to get in touch with Me. She saw He knew how by what He told her.

And Jesus explained to her what she was seeking to know—it was not in a particular physical location that you had to go to in order to find Me and get in touch with Me but in Spirit and in truth. A whole other realm was opening before her eyes. For I am Spirit and I made you in My image and according to My likeness. If you limit yourself to the physical world and the flesh alone you will always be thirsty in your spirit. Deep calls unto deep. Until that fountain of living water is in your heart you will be dry and empty, like a branch cut off from the vine.

And her conclusion? She had heard there was a Messiah coming who would explain everything. Jesus told her that the one speaking to her was the Messiah. He revealed Himself to her. And she believed and ran to bring the whole town to Jesus. Going to one person that was thirsty brought many to Jesus. The Spirit knows who to speak to and who to avoid.

You have just watched the Spirit and the bride giving the invitation to salvation to those who are thirsty. Jesus was the body on earth when He was present among you according to the flesh and He and the Spirit walked together as One and in that way as One with Me. And so can you. That was what Jesus taught you the night before He died for you to live forever. He promised you the Spirit to be in you and on you always so that you could do the works He did and greater and so that you would be one with Him and in Him you would be one with Me. I in Him, you in Him, Him in Me, and you in Me.

And what was that living water that Jesus offered to her? Let Jesus explain.

On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified. John 7:37-39.

And remember Jesus told her how to find Me and hear from Me—worship in Spirit and in truth. Walking in the Spirit being filled with My Word. Shine on the world like bright stars, you are offering it the Word of life.

My Words are Spirit and life. If you continue in My Word you are truly My disciples and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free. And the good news is that it will set everyone free to whom you witness with My Spirit and invite them to come to the throne of grace to receive the water of life. Abundance of mercy, abundance of grace.

Do not be afraid to extend the invitation for you are never witnessing to Jesus alone. It is My Spirit in and on you leading you as My children to gather the whole world in My love.

“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.” Acts 1:8.

I love you. And you are with Me always because My Spirit and My disciples, the church, the body of Christ, got My Word to plant in your heart.

I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word; that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me. John 17:20-21.
