His truth (emet (אֶמֶת): truth) is a shield and bulwark. Psalm 91:4.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
When you know the truth you cannot be deceived. The truth is a rock foundation for your life that cannot be moved. The full armor I give you is all about truth.
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; in all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God with all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit. Ephesians 6:10-18.
It is being encased in My Word. For My Word is truth.
Jesus spoke these things; and lifting up His eyes to heaven, He said, . . . “But now I come to You; and these things I speak in the world so that they may have My joy made full in themselves. I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth. As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. For their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth.” John 17:1;13-19.
When you are encased in and filled with My Word you are in My secret place. The place of deliverance from the snare of the trapper. The place of truth.
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust!” For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper and from the deadly pestilence. Psalm 91:1-3.
Those who obey My Word are in My secret place, and My truth preserves you in time of trouble. I instruct and teach you by My Word in the Way you should go to make your life prosperous and successful. When you believe in the good news of salvation, I seal you in Christ by the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit guides you to all truth.
Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers. For I was very glad when brethren came and testified to your truth, that is, how you are walking in truth. I have no greater joy than this, to hear of my children walking in the truth. 3 John 1:2-4.
It is by walking in the truth, abiding in My Word, that you will prosper and be in good health just as your soul prospers. Your soul is your mind, your will, and your emotions. If you do not hold these in peace and joy by the truth they will torment you. The place of deliverance is the place of knowing the truth.
If you abide in My Word I can enclose you, encompass you about, from behind and before you and lay My hand upon you, Psalm 139:5, and keep you within My perfect protection and increase you more and more.
I am My Word and it is impossible for Me to lie. I am light and there is no darkness in Me. Light has to do with truth and darkness with deception. I am truth and with Me is the fountain of life and in My light you see light. There is life in My Word, eternal life.
For you have made the LORD, my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place. No evil will befall you, nor will any plague come near your tent. Psalm 91:9-10.
How do you get into Me as your dwelling place so that no evil can befall you or any plague come near your tent?
I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth. John 17:15-17.
What sets you apart from the evil that is in the world is My Word. The world lives in the lies of deceitful doctrines whereby they deny My existence, believe all evolved, and there is no sin or right or wrong that is clearly defined but each person has their own truth. They do not know where they come from or where they are going so they wander confused trying different new philosophies that elude that happiness will come through their humanity alone and are scornful of My Word.
My Word is your shield and bulwark from that confusion and that deceit that will destroy you in this window of time and rob you of your beautiful eternal inheritance.
Preserve me, O God, for I take refuge in You. I said to the LORD, “You are my Lord; I have no good besides You.” As for the saints who are in the earth, they are the majestic ones in whom is all my delight. The sorrows of those who have bartered for another god will be multiplied; I shall not pour out their drink offerings of blood, nor will I take their names upon my lips. The LORD is the portion of my inheritance and my cup; You support my lot. The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; indeed, my inheritance is beautiful to me. Psalm 16:1-6.
My Word lets you know where you came from, where you are going, and how to get there successfully. Without My Word you do not know any of that nor can you. My Word shows you the way, so you never get lost or go astray, the truth, so you are never deceived and know just what the signs of the times are showing you, and the life so that you prosper and are in good health now and forever. My Word is living and working and My Word stepped off the page and became flesh and explained all three to you and gave you eternal life. I gave you the Way, the Truth, and the Life in one glorious beautiful Person who joined Divinity and humanity in one seamless life.
And how to abide in that wondrous life? You treasure and keep My Word.
Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me.” John 14:23-24.
What is the result?
For you have made the LORD, my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place. No evil will befall you, nor will any plague come near your tent. For He will give His angels charge concerning you, to guard you in all your ways. Psalm 91:9-11.
My angels obey My Word, the voice of My Word, even in your mouth.
The LORD has established His throne in the heavens, and His sovereignty rules over all. Bless the LORD, you His angels, mighty in strength, who perform His word, obeying the voice of His word! Bless the LORD, all you His hosts, You who serve Him, doing His will. Psalm 103:19-21.
And what will you do? You will come under My wings, My angelic host, like little chicks do with the mother hen for perfect protection, comfort, and rest. I am with you. But you must have the sword of the Spirit, My Word, in your mouth to trample down the lies of the devil under your feet.
You will tread upon the lion and cobra, the young lion and the serpent you will trample down. Psalm 91:13.
I love you. Put on the footgear of the gospel of peace, My Son made peace through the blood of His cross, and trample down all the lies of the devil, that ancient serpent, who deceives the whole world. But he will not be able to take you down if you build your life on the solid rock foundation of My Word knowing where you came from, where you are going, and how to get there, also known as the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
