“But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know the One who sent Me.” John 15:19.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
As we continue line by line, building precept upon precept, you are going deeper and deeper into who I AM as you consider the depth of the Words spoken by Jesus, My Word as flesh among you, at the Last Supper.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness could not overcome it. John 1:1-5.
Today has many levels and facets, but it is a jewel of revelation that you who love Me will ponder and treasure in your heart.
“If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word, they will keep yours also. But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know the One who sent Me. If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin. He who hates Me hates My Father also. If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would not have sin; but now they have both seen and hated Me and My Father as well. But they have done this to fulfill the word that is written in their Law, ‘They hated Me without a cause.’” John 15:20-25.
There is a lot here, but it joins up as one thought and revelation. Let Me sum up what I want to convey here to your heart. The reason people do not recognize Jesus is they do not know Me. And thus they do not realize that if you hate Jesus you hate Me. Why? Because IN SEEING HIM YOU ARE SEEING ME. He already told you that night of the Last Supper:
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him and have seen Him.” Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” Jesus said to him, “Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe because of the works themselves. John 14:6-11.
Philip, though he had been with Jesus for a few years at that time, still did not know Me. In seeing Jesus you see Me in action.
For the word of God is living and actively working and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4:12.
Knowing Him, you know Me. Seeing Him you see Me. Hearing Him you hear Me. In Him working, you see Me working. I was in Christ reconciling the world to Myself not counting your trespasses against you but accounting them all to My Son in your place by My grace.
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. Colossians 1:15-17.
God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world. And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. Hebrews 1:1-3.
There was no intercessor, no person who could save you from what you had become through Adam’s treachery so I had to come down. My own arm wrought salvation for you.
Who has believed our message? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed? For He grew up before Him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of parched ground. . . But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the chastening for our well-being (shalom) fell upon Him, and by His scourging we are healed. All of us like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; but the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him. Isaiah 53:1-2;5-6.
And He saw that there was no man, and was astonished that there was no one to intercede. Then His own arm brought salvation (Yeshuah) to Him, and His righteousness upheld Him. He put on righteousness like a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on His head. Isaiah 59:16-17.
I have bared My Holy Arm to bring you Salvation.
The LORD has bared His holy arm in the sight of all the nations, that all the ends of the earth may see the salvation (Yeshuah) of our God. Isaiah 52:10.
My outstretched arm.
Say, therefore, to the sons of Israel, ‘I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you from their bondage. I will also redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments. Then I will take you for My people, and I will be your God; and you shall know that I am the LORD your God, who brought you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. I will bring you to the land which I swore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and I will give it to you for a possession; I am the LORD.’” Exodus 66-8.
If you want to know Me, look at Jesus, when you behold Him and believe, I seal you in Him with the Holy Spirit as a pledge and He raises up your glorified body on the last Day.
“For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.” John 6:40.
What do you see when you see Jesus? When He saw sickness He reached out immediately to heal and cast it out. Everywhere He went He reached out to the sick, disabled, lame, lost, hungry, thirsty, tormented, and possessed with compassion and if they received Him they were healed and blessed immediately. He could not see pain, illness or deformity without healing it, even on the Sabbath Day, much to the anger of the religious authorities who had made the day that was meant to be a blessed day of sanctifying rest and family gathering in celebration of My loving care a day of heavy burdens that bound the people in guilt and fear of violating it. Their hardness of heart grieved Him and so did the resistance in His hometown of Nazareth that kept the people from receiving the abundance He wished to lavish on them, indeed, only a few sick got healed.
He never wanted anyone to go hungry. He would multiply bread and fish to feed a huge ground and satisfy everyone completely with plenty left over. He likened Heaven to a marriage feast and an abundant banquet with no cost on your part. He never wanted anyone to have bills they owed, He would put coins in the mouth of fish to pay the taxes owed. He always told everyone the truth and He taught about how I was a good father that would only give you good things. He told you about the good things of the Kingdom and how it pleased Me to give My Kingdom to you. He blessed and embraced children. He opened Heaven for you. He gave you authority to cast out demons and heal the sick, even to raise the dead. No one who died around Him stayed dead, He raised them up and put them back in their assignment.
And you know this is Me because think about it, even before Jesus took flesh, I healed the sick and added years to the lives of those about to die (Hezekiah), healed Naaman of leprosy, provided the rituals for healing leprosy to the priests, raised the dead to life (the widow’s son, the Shunammite’s son) and even took people to be in Paradise with no death (Enoch and Elijah), multiplied bread (Elisha), made oil flow into many containers from a tiny jar to pay a widow’s debts, made a little bowl of flour and a small jug of oil feed a household for over a year and a half, rained down bread from Heaven every day to feed a nation of over two million people in the barren desert for forty years, brought water out of flinty rocks that gave drink to that crowd and their livestock, parted the sea, knocked down walls with a shout, gave houses, vineyards, wells and fruit trees to My people without payment or work for them, and gave people My written Words and the inspiration to write them down straight from Me.
I gave you who I am and who Jesus is in our Names that you would know us and call upon us to receive all that is promised in each Name for all My promises are “yes” to you in Jesus for all My fullness dwells in Him.
See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ. For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority. Colossians 2:8-10.
I am the LORD your healer, Exodus 15:26, the LORD who sees ahead and provides for you, Genesis 22:14, the LORD who is there for you, Ezekiel 48:35, the LORD your Shepherd, Psalm 23:1;Ezekiel 34:16; John 10:11, the LORD your Righteousness, Jeremiah 23:6, 2 Corinthians 5:21, the LORD your banner (victory, miracle), Exodus 17:15, 1 Corinthians 15:57, the LORD your peace, Judges 6:24, John 14:27, the LORD your fortress, 2 Samuel 22:2, the LORD your shield, Genesis 15:1; Psalm 144:2, the LORD your Refuge, Deuteronomy 33:27, the LORD your strength, Psalm 18:2, the LORD your rock, Psalm 18:2, the LORD your sanctifier, Exodus 31:18, Leviticus 20:8, 1 Thessalonians 5:23, the LORD your redeemer, Isaiah 43:14; the LORD your maker, Isaiah 51:13, the LORD your Helper, Psalm 54:4, the LORD of Hosts, 1 Sam. 1:3; 17:45, Isaiah 54:5, the LORD your strength and song, Exodus 15:2, and the LORD your Savior, Isaiah 49:26. And Jesus adds His “I AM” names to the promises of the New Covenant as well, all of which you find in Him for I have given Him My Name as well: the Light of the world, and the promise with that Name is that no follower of His will ever walk in darkness, but will have the Light of life, the way, the truth and the life, the Bread of Life, the Door, the Good Shepherd, the Resurrection and the Life, and the Vine.
If you don’t know My Names and My Son’s Names you really do not know us.
“Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name. He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. With a long life I will satisfy him and cause him to feast his eyes on My salvation.” Psalm 91:14-16.
There is a Name that Jesus and I share and in this Name we guide you, lead you, feed you, carry you and care for you always, in fact, under this Name My Son told you He willingly laid down His life to save you.
“I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.” John 10:11.
“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.” John 10:27-30.
Until you know Me as your shepherd, you really don’t know Me. And there are many places in the Old Testament and New that I tell you about your good Shepherd. But what does it mean to you today in knowing Me, the One who send Jesus?
“But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know the One who sent Me.” John 15:19.
It means I lead you beside living, peaceful, healing waters. I take you to places of abundant provision and let you rest there. Jesus tells you that He is the good Shepherd that came to bring you abundant, overflowing life, John 10:10. I restore your souls by feeding you with the truth of My Word. I guide you in paths of righteousness by My Spirit within you so that you are upright and in the right place at the right time. I am the God of all comfort and tender mercies leading you out of sorrow and darkness to the abundance of My table in the banquet hall of My house where My banner over you is love. I anoint you and appoint you to bear fruit that will endure and bless you and every person on earth.
Here is who I am to you in Jesus: “The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside healing waters of peace. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows. Surely goodness and lovingkindness will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.” Psalm 23:1-6.
Now the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, Jesus our Lord, equip you in every good thing to do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen. Hebrews 13:20-21.
I love you. Do you know My Name and the Name of the One I sent?
Who has ascended into heaven and descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has wrapped the waters in His garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name or His son’s name? Surely you know! Proverbs 30:4.
