Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the Word, that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless. Ephesians 5:25-27.
The LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
In the beginning was the Word, My Word. Everything in your life also must begin with My Word. It all starts with hearing My Word, otherwise how can you know Me, the One true God and the One I sent, Jesus Christ? And that relationship is eternal life. So you cannot find eternal life without My Word. My Words are life to those who find them and health to all their flesh. I have the Words of eternal life. And that life is in My Word, and My Word is Jesus. He sums My Word up completely for in Him you see My Word in action in the flesh and in the Spirit.
The first parable My Son told that opened the way to all His other parables, begins with My Word being sown into your hearts.
What you do with that Word that comes to you, whether by your hearing someone sharing on or teaching the Bible on television, internet, a friend, a family member, your church, a stranger on the street, or from finding and reading the Bible, determines everything, your whole life now and forever depends on what you do with My Word when you hear it.
In the exercise of His will He brought us forth by the Word of truth, so that we would be a kind of first fruits among His creatures. James 1:18.
What you do with My Word determines the fruitfulness and goodness of your life and how you will spend your eternity. If you receive the implanted Word and cultivate it, it will save you, heal you, and prosper you, thirty, sixty, or a hundredfold, depending on the diligence you give to renewing your mind with My Word.
“Take care what you listen to. By what measure you measure it will be measured to you; and more will be given you besides. For whoever has, to him more shall be given; and whoever does not have, even what he has shall be taken away from him.” Mark 4:24-25.
When you receive Jesus as your Lord, your spirit is a new creation in Christ, alive to Me and dead to sin, but your soul, which consists of your mind, your will, and your emotions, is used to thinking, speaking and acting like you always have and the patterns of thought and the way you react to things has been established and if you were raised in an ungodly home or just never paid attention to or took in My Word seriously you are more influenced by the world, the flesh and the devil than you are by My Word. My thoughts are higher than your thoughts and the mind set on the flesh does not understand them because they must be spiritually discerned.
But once you are born again by the imperishable seed of My Word, you have My Spirit in you and He is wanting to share My thoughts with you. He guides you to all truth and reminds you of My Words, but to remind you indicates that it must be that you have read, heard, and meditated upon them.
And that is what I mean by the renewal of your mind. Your mind is neutral in the respect it processes information which it receives, which include outward perceptions by the five senses and inward thoughts, imaginations, feelings that you perceive in yourself, and analytic reasoning. But what your mind processes depends on what you put in it to process. And you are putting in what you are focusing your attention upon.
If you are doing as I told Joshua and reading, speaking, meditating upon, and doing My Word you are giving your mind spirit food and feeding it with My thoughts, which do not return to Me void when you speak them and do them but achieve the goal for which I sent them. And I send My Words to heal you, deliver you, cleanse you, purify you, sanctify you, give you wisdom and skill, guide you, protect you, acquit you, and instruct you, as well as many more amazing things. And the more intention and diligence you give to feeding upon My Words rather than those you are used to dwelling upon, which usually cause you anxiety, offense, torment, shame, selfish ambition, fear, lust, and the like, the better and more excellent your life becomes until you are totally transformed by the renewal of your mind. You will be transformed from glory to glory as you behold and keep before you My Word.
You shall therefore impress these Words of mine on your heart and on your soul; and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontals on your forehead. You shall teach them to your sons, talking of them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road and when you lie down and when you rise up. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates, so that your days and the days of your sons may be multiplied on the land which the LORD swore to your fathers to give them, as days of Heaven upon the earth. Deuteronomy 11:18-21.
You have to put off the old man, i.e., your old patterns of thinking and speaking when you spoke more worry, death and gloom than peace, life and light, and renew your mind to the mind of the anointed, for I have already given you who believe the gift of the mind of Christ. An anointed mind that can discern, pick up, and walk in the spirit and not according to the pettiness of the flesh.
That, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth. Ephesians 4:22-24.
Do not be conformed to this world, for it is passing away, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what My Will is at each and every moment of your day and night, that which is good (thirtyfold), and pleasing (sixtyfold), and perfect (one hundredfold). Romans 12:2. The word translated “transformed” in this passage is the Greek word metamorphóō, it is from metá, “change after being with” and morphóō, “changing form in keeping with inner reality, transformed after being with; transfigured. It is the root of the English terms “metamorphosis” and “metamorphize.” Yes, the transfiguration of Jesus uses the same word. A complete transformation from the earthly to the heavenly.
This is the word used to describe the process of change whereby a caterpillar develops into a butterfly. A caterpillar in its first birth does not appear like the butterfly, its vision does not pick up color but only light and dark and is near sighted. It does nothing but eat and eat, and in this process sheds its outer skin five times. Then it spins a cocoon and retreats into its secret place and completely dies to its old self, it breaks down the old body to nothing but a liquid and then begins to reshape. Clumps of cells there all the time in the body of the caterpillar called “imaginary discs” begin to reform the body with the plan in them and new parts begin to manifest. The amazing eyes that see a spectrum of colors beyond what the human eye can see, the long antennae that perceive with great sensitivity, and the wings begin to emerge until the resurrection takes place to a new life, and coming forth from the secret place the butterfly is born again to a new creation and unfurls its wings and takes off airborne, born to a new life of light, color, and sucking the sweet nectar of flowers.
Be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Let the water of My Word wash your brain. Eat and eat My Word by hearing, speaking, meditating upon, reading, and doing My Word until you have been filled with grace, My divine life in you, by keeping only My Word in your mind on a consistent basis. And then get the vision for your life from Me and write it down so you can run with it. Imagine and dwell on the vision until it comes to pass. As Joseph and much later David did with the plans I have given them. And after going into their secret places and dying to themselves, they came out new, skilled, and ready to govern a nation. And with My help they could leap over a wall.
Sounds like eagles’ wings.
My Word made all, sustains all, and restores, renews and remakes all. I make all things new. And if you will make My Word your own, it will transform you into the image of My Son, which is My image as well.
You must understand the value of My Word. My Words are not idle words like the world’s words and godless chatter. They are not just “positive thinking,” though they are positive and filled with beauty and light, but My Words actually contain life in them, a blueprint in them, a purpose in them, and My faith in them. My Word is living and active, sharper than a two-edged sword and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. My Words have revelation in them and light in them in dark situations.
My Words are Spirit and life, they contain eternal life. There is a reason I call My Words “seeds.” They have life in them and once planted in your heart they grow if you will cultivate them and not reject them out. They will grow healing, provision, peace, joy, love, and every good thing given and every perfect gift coming down from Me, the Father of lights.
David sang that My Words were more valuable than heaps of gold, for even the most wealthy cannot buy healing, love, joy, peace, and eternal life, and sweeter than honey from the comb. How sweet are My Words of healing, blessing, victory, peace, guidance, shelter, comfort, protection, provision, and so many other magnificent promises that are yours just for the taking when you have been dragged into the dark valley of the shadow of death by an undisciplined mind. You must be receiving, agreeing with, and doing My Words to harvest them. Make them your confession of agreement with your great High Priest Jesus so I can perform them as you see them manifest in your life and the lives of others.
But to give this devotion to My Word and allow nothing else, you must have the help of the Holy Spirit, and you must be willing to set time aside with Me each day. Like the caterpillar eating and eating until he is so full he must go in his secret place and come out transformed!
Spend more time on Me and less on yourself in your thought life. Always live in Me first for instruction and correction.
If instead you get your focus off Me on to yourself, then all will crash around you. You are not altogether lovely, love, light, powerful, and good in the state you are born biologically now. I am. But if you behold Jesus constantly before you, you are transformed from glory to glory, and faith to faith, and conformed to the image of My Son. Keeping Him at your side, you shall not be disturbed.
If you have Me you have everything. I am really the only one that truly matters to lead your thought life. You should be focused on your audience of One. Me. And I on you. It does not matter whether millions are watching your performance if you are not performing all for your audience of One. It is only Me with whom you have your true destiny, honor, and fame.
Abraham had only Me. He had an audience of One. And he was all for Me. And I made his name great. His whole life was focused on My Word to him.
It does not matter whether you are lauded by millions and have fans all over the world if it is not for the audience of One and is not directing people’s hearts to love the One, it is worth nothing for you or anyone else, just a passing shadow that blooms and fades away.
What good is it to gain the whole world and suffer the loss of your soul?
Let all be for your audience of One for I see you at every moment night and day since the time I formed and watched over you in your mother’s womb until this very day and through all eternity. My loving eyes are ever upon you. Put yours on Me. I am enough. I will add all else you need and desire. Just always be aware of your audience of One.
If others join with you, good, but if they don’t, good! I am still worthy of your attention and your great performance in My spotlight on My stage, even if no one else shows up. Perform with all your heart for Me. I am really the only one that rewards you anyway. Eternal rewards, I mean.
If you read the book of Revelation and go with John to the Kingdom, you will see that all attention, though all are reigning with Me, that all attention is only on One. The One who sits on the throne and the Lamb. Me and My Son. All are around Me but they are not worried about one another, together, united, and blessed they all have their eyes upon Me. The One who loves them, saved them, and made the glorious place called Heaven for them. They cannot look and love enough.
All you are doing, whether small and hidden or great and well known, should all be directed in only one direction and that is not on yourself but onto your audience of One, for it is that relationship of wonder that is what you were made for and are sustained for. For if you have Me, you have the whole world and beyond. And the small and hidden living unto Me are just as great as the ones with an audience of thousands lauding their great performance and teaching. Faithful in small matters, I can trust you to be faithful in great ones when all is focused on Me.
Like David, whether alone on the hillside in Bethlehem watching his father’s sheep, unknown and disregarded by men, or hiding in caves alone or with 400 outlaws who joined him, or in the palace assigning 288 singers to draw lots to sing praise before Me around the clock it was all to put all eyes on Me. He praised, sang and danced for Me alone and he pulled in as many as he could get to do the same. Not to look at him but to look at Me and fall in love as he had. He just wanted to gather the whole world to praise Me.
And My apostle Paul was of similar heart. His whole life was based on his desire to know Me and to please Me. It was for Me that he wanted to bring all to salvation, new birth, and the freedom of My children. Why? For Me. He tore his robes when the people came to honor him as a god when he healed people in the city. He only wanted glory for Me and attention off himself other than to lead them to My light and love.
And that is a renewed and transformed mind. One that knows and believes in the love I have for them and in My power to do all things for them as I have promised. Fully persuaded that My Word will come to pass no matter how impossible it looks is a renewed mind. And it is an anointed, joyful, and peaceful mind that is one with Me, your audience of One. And you are also My audience of one. I do not see crowds; all I see is individuals. My people, My treasure.
I love you. I am love. And I wash you with the pure water of My Word. Renew your mind and begin to walk out eternal life as one with Me.
“Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation.” Therefore you will joyously draw water from the springs of salvation.” Isaiah 12:2-3.
