You blind Pharisee, first clean the inside of the cup and of the dish, so that the outside of it may become clean also. Matthew 23:26.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
Living eternal life. Think about it. There is no clutter, trash, or anything shoved out of view and hidden in the dark in the Kingdom. There is no space, place, or area that is not a place of glory and splendor. Pure. Light. Vast. There is nowhere that you would be ashamed of or embarrassed about its reflection on you if someone came to your home unannounced.
And there are no anxious, evil, unclean, or fearful thoughts hiding in anyone’s heart or mind. And there is no one unorganized in their assignments, projects, and responsibilities. There are no wasted, unfocused eternal lives.
What am I telling you here? If you want to live the abundant life you will have to clean the clutter out of your life, inside and out. And I mean both inside you and your physical home and office space, including your vehicles, storage, purses, bags, and wherever else you have stacked up clutter.
If I cannot trust you to take care of what I give you in little things, how can I entrust you with greater things?
I could not trust the vast majority of the Israelites I redeemed from slavery even in such little things as how to gather the manna I gave them as a free gift.
He led you through the great and terrible wilderness, with its fiery serpents and scorpions and thirsty ground where there was no water; He brought water for you out of the rock of flint. In the wilderness He fed you manna which your fathers did not know, that He might humble you and that He might test you, to do good for you in the end. Deuteronomy 8:15-16.
I want you to grow in virtue and grace and it starts in the little things, even as a child.
I could not trust the Israelites not to build idols and worship them even though they had heard My voice, seen My glory, and had a mighty deliverance.
I could not trust them to keep ten basic commandments that made perfect sense for a community of people that knew Me better than others, had seen Me fight on their behalf, and received riches and all the supplies they needed. And these commandments were for them so that they could live tranquil, peaceful, abundant lives where they did not have to fear murder, stealing, or lying from their neighbors and fellow countrymen. Where they could safely walk the streets and be in the parks, beaches, and public squares with no fear of harm. But in the time of the judges after Joshua and all who knew him died, no one paid attention to My Word or Me, except to blame Me for enemies invading their territory or they needed rescuing from a bad situation, and it was a period of lawlessness where it was unsafe to travel or trust anyone. But whenever they called Me, I did come and raise up a champion for them, like Deborah, like Gideon but overall it was a very dark and evil time.
What was the problem? They never cleaned out the clutter they had picked up in Egypt. In other words, even though I had redeemed them from darkness to light, they hung onto the darkness.
This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God. John 3:19-21.
Their old, unredeemed habits and mindset did not leave them. They did not renew their minds to My ways though they saw My works and I gave them My Word to meditate day and night to change their mindset to think higher thoughts as I do and learn to grow the seed of My Word in their hearts. I told them to write My Words on their doorposts, to keep them in front of their eyes, to speak them when they got up in the morning and as they went to bed for the night. To teach them to their children and speak of them as they went about their day to flush out worldly, uncreative, godless thoughts, those thoughts filled with worry, fear, and thinking they had to grab what they could or they would not have enough. But the majority would not, and consequently their children did not know My Word but followed the futile way of their parents and ancestors. They treated My Words as idle words but My Words are not idle words, they are your very life.
In Egypt as slaves they had to hide and stash things, they were not thinking as those with kingdom authority or as people of integrity and honor. But it did not have to be like that. They had an example of one of their own. As a slave, Joseph did his work unto Me and not to men and the blessing went to work in his life and on all he touched. The Blessing of Abraham made him rich and added no sorrow with it.
In My kingdom you do not need to grab, covet, stash, and hoard. There is plenty and more yet. You walk in My light, give, and receive things. And I give you creative ideas and prosper the works of your hands. Like I did with Joseph in the midst of Egypt. How could I do that for him when so many others have failed in godless circumstances? Joseph never let the past abuse or the present temptations clutter his life. He was clean inside and he kept things around him free from clutter as well. Even in the prison he was an example of excellence, so much so the head jailer put him in charge, just as Potiphar had done when Joseph served him.
Get the clutter out of your life. And that includes useless thoughts of conversations you will hold in your imagination with or about people who have offended you, things that happened that made you unhappy and slowed down your life so that you wasted years, offense at everything that is critical of your performance or appearance, lost dreams and hopes, guilt and shame over your life, and feelings of inadequacy. Clutter is whatever is slowing you down from going forward in the beautiful life I planned for you since before you were born. Clutter is anything and everything that is not in keeping with My Word. Know this, if it is contrary to My Word it is nothing you should be wasting your precious time on.
When I was working a great military strategy and rescue for redeeming My people out of Egypt the got to the place of victory and stopped there at the shore of the Red Sea to blame, complain, and speak surrender, regret, and defeat. They spoke death. But I had promised them since the day I spoke to Moses and he shared it with them, just as I had shared many years before with Abraham, I would work a great deliverance and bring them out wealthy to take them to the land I promised to the descendants of Abraham.
So what did I tell them? What I am telling you now. Get rid of that complaining clutter that is slowing you down and go forward! Never turn your life into a parking lot.
Then the LORD said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to Me? Tell the sons of Israel to go forward. As for you, lift up your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it, and the sons of Israel shall go through the midst of the sea on dry land. Exodus 14:15-16.
When your operating system slows down you have to clean out your cache and as well as other things putting too much data in your phone or computer. You have to uninstall old apps you do not use any longer (or maybe never did use), delete those thousands of photos and videos that have no value to you at all but bring you unhappiness, and you must clear out old documents and things that are filling up the memory so it cannot take anymore.
It is time to de-clutter your life. Look about your home, it is a reflection of how you are inside. Can you hardly sit down in your bedroom for all the piles of “stuff’? Is your bed unmade or sloppily made? Are you unorganized, messy, and keep losing things so that you go out and buy again supplies you already have and let those expire? Clean up. It is depressing to live in clutter and take up time trying to find things.
My Son told the Pharisees to clean up the inside of the cup and then the outside would be clean as well. You need to start with your heart and mind and soul but work on it the same time you clean out your living space, your dishes that you piled up in the sink, the mail you shoved under other things to get to later and then forgot about it and perhaps then missed a bill payment, invitation, or deadline. Throw out “junk mail” and things you are not interested in immediately. Never stack up old newspapers, cut the article you want (neatly) and get rid of the rest.
Each day, make a to-do list so you stay focused on what you are doing at work, at home, for others so you do not miss deadlines and wander in wasteful directions in godless phone calls and constant “emergencies” that are not emergencies at all.
Prioritize, categorize, and organize. Go forward.
And the same for your life in the Spirit. It is the one thing from which all success flows. Set a time you will spend with Me and be faithful to it. If you have to get up earlier, do so. You have to spend quality time in My Word and listening to Me to know the revelation, answers, solutions, and direction that you so badly need to walk in wisdom and integrity of life. Do not compromise that time by social media, texts, and things that can wait till later but are distractions that will steal your time of fellowship with Me.
Live your life with purpose, vision, and motivation. Target your words and faith. Be on the alert, girded with the truth of My Word. You do not know the day or hour of your visitation, be prepared. Matthew 24:42.
Your mouth speaks what fills your heart and mind. Matthew 12:34. So the best thing you can do to make your life pure and successful, focused and directed for victory, is to fill your heart with My Word. Get it so full that it pushes out, floods out, cleans out all the clutter.
Be serious about this and go after the clutter. It can choke off your path to victory. This is your life and length of days.
Make your body, your soul, your very life, work for you and not against you. How? By making it work for Me.
Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, [acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and pleasing and perfect. Romans 12:1-2.
Cultivate the garden of your heart by feeding your mind with Spirit food, My Words are Spirit and life, and not simply flesh food, the lies of the world, the flesh, and the devil, which are limited to physical appearances only.
Evil and lust will set fire to your clutter and destroy you. If instead you will open your heart to love, My love will set fire to your clutter and refine you so that the clutter is gone like dross from gold.
For He is like a refiner’s fire and like fullers’ soap. He will sit as a smelter and purifier of silver, and He will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, so that they may present to the LORD offerings in righteousness. Malachi 3:2-3.
Refining the priesthood, and you are My royal priesthood. Jesus has made you so.
And then the light of My love will shine away all the darkness and set your heart aflame to higher realms.
They said to one another, “Were not our hearts burning within us while He was speaking to us on the road, while He was explaining the Scriptures to us?” Luke 24:32.
If you want to live eternal life all of your life, imitate Me as My dear children and walk in love. I am the eternal One and there is no darkness, i.e., no clutter, in Me. I think in love, talk in love, and walk in love, all else is foreign to My nature and cannot enter.
Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. James 1:16-17.
I love you. Clear out clutter the minute it starts, never let it stack up for years so that the job to clear it is so formidable and challenging that you will just give up and sleep in the clutter. You will find if you attack it with a weed whacker it will take much less time than you thought. My Word is a very effective weed whacker, the Sword of the Spirit, but sometimes using the water of My Word to flood it out is even more effective.
