So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?” He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He said to him, “Feed My lambs.” John 21:15.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
Faith comes by feeding. Faith, trust, confidence, boldness and becoming more than a conqueror come by feeding. But I am not talking about physical eating, I am talking about My Word, and particularly about My spoken Word, for the ear tests words like the palate tastes food. Job 34:3.
Therefore, faith is by hearing, and hearing because of the Word (rhema (ῥῆμα), the spoken word) of the Messiah (Christ, the anointed One). Romans 10:17.
Man does not live on bread alone but on every Word that comes forth from My mouth.
You have to feed on bread (לֶחֶם), the bread of life which is the bread of My Word, for My Words are life to those who find them, to fight (לָחַם). In Hebrew, bread is lechem (לֶחֶם) ( a noun), and fight (devour) is lacham (לָחַם), exact same letters just different vowel sounds because lechem is the noun and lacham is its verb. So the more of My Word you get in you the more you can fight the good fight of faith.
And you eat the Word that comes forth from My mouth by putting it in YOUR mouth. My Word is bread to the eater and seed to the sower.
“The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach). Romans 10:8.
The Word of faith. What is that? That Jesus is Lord, in Him all your sins are forgiven and gone, and that all My magnificent promises of healing, provision, prosperity, peace, joy, and the gift of the Holy Spirit, all you need for a victorious life in both the physical and spiritual arenas, are “yes” to you in Him. If you eat right you can have days of Heaven on earth. And by eating right I mean by partaking of the banquet I set before you of My Word, and particularly My Word about Jesus, for EVERYTHING is summed up for you in Him.
Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 2 Peter 1:2-4.
In directing Peter how to lead and guide all the people who would come to believe in the good news of salvation in Jesus Christ from the witness he and the followers of Jesus were sharing with all who would listen, Jesus told him My Word on the subject: “Feed My lambs and feed My sheep.” Both the newly born again believers and those who had matured. They need to be fed. And the more in your life going on from the tactics of the devil and his demons, the more you need to eat at the table of My Word.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over. Psalm 23:5.
Sheep are grazing animals and the good Shepherd leads you to green pastures and restful waters, where you can feed and drink and lie down to abide in My Word.
Trust in the LORD, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Psalm 37:3.
Sheep will eat grass all day long, stopping only to rest and allow the rumen to process the grass. This is called chewing the cud. They eat, then rest and ruminate. Does that sound familiar?
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Joshua 1:8.
The word translated “meditate” is the Hebrew word hagah (הָגָה), which is a verb and it means to moan, growl, mutter, utter, speak, muse, ponder. In other words, it is to read a passage of My Word and then chew on it as a sheep chews the cud until it can enter into your stomach and become part of you. And you mutter it, speak it, ponder and muse on it, until faith kicks in for the promise in that word and then you can swallow it so that it goes right to your heart and faith is of the heart.
And the letters that form “hagah” in Hebrew tell you more about the meaning. It begins with a hey (ה), which has a meaning of “grace.” And the next letter is a “gimel” and the pictograph and meaning of gimel is a camel, and the camel chews the cud, and the next letter is another hey, meaning grace. Grace and truth come through Jesus, My Word, and faith comes by hearing My Word about Jesus, which is the Gospel of grace which Paul preached.
And just like lechem (bread), the noun, had the verb lacham (to fight, to devour), so too the verb hagah has a noun, hegeh, and the noun means “steering wheel.” So what you are meditating upon turns your life in that direction.
I tell you many times that if you listen attentively to My voice and obey My Word that all blessings will chase you down and overwhelm you. Those who hear and do My Word are like a wise master builder that builds on a rock foundation that no storm can shake or topple. Any other foundation for your life is merely shifting sand. It will not hold you firm in a storm. Standing ground is the rock of My Word, just dig your heels in and refuse to budge. For while you crush his head the devil is lying in wait trying to bruise your heel so he can knock you down.
Do not let him trick you and trip you up by the lies he speaks to you. For you should know from the first parable Jesus taught that the devil is trying to steal the seed of My Word out of your heart so that it does not grow to harvest. That is, so you never get your promise, such as healing, provision, peace, joy, or whatever it may be of My magnificent promises that are all for you in Jesus.
Do you recall when the devil tempted Adam and Eve and stole My Word from their mouths and gave them his lie to eat instead? It made his lie look attractive so Eve got tricked and ate it.
Then the LORD God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” And the woman said, “The serpent tricked me into it and so I ate it.”
She ate from the wrong table and it killed her spirit. Do not eat forbidden fruit for death and life are in the power of your tongue and you will eat the fruit of your lips. Partake of and produce therefrom the fruit of the Holy Spirit. Galatians 5:22-23.
And with respect to Adam, after eating of the wrong table, he hid from Me, not wanting to bring what he had done into the light. So I asked him, though I knew the answer, “Where are you?” He was hiding his disobedience for the devil, who tempted them into sinning now was accusing them for having done so. Adam replied, “I heard the sound of You in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid myself.” My response was, “Who told you that you were naked?” NEVER LET THE ENEMY DEFINE WHO YOU ARE. Let My Word define it. Look in the mirror of My Word to find your identity. And that is what the devil stole from Adam, his identity. He stripped him of the glory in which he was clothed in Me and took his dominion authority which I had entrusted him with over the earth.
And what was Adam’s answer of why he ate from the wrong tree, from the wrong table? The man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me from the tree, and I ate.” He ate what someone other than Me fed him.
And what was My answer to that excuse? Then to Adam I said, “Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree about which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat from it’; Cursed is the ground because of you; in toil you will eat of it all the days of your life. Both thorns and thistles it shall grow for you; and you will eat the plants of the field; by the sweat of your face. You will eat bread, till you return to the ground, because from it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return.” Genesis 1:17-19.
Eve listened to a lie and ate it, was born again by it out of the Kingdom of Light into the realm of darkness, and then she spread it to others, her husband and then her children, and one then murdered the other. When you spread lies to others and they eat them this is not pleasing to Me, in fact it is one of the things I hate.
There are six things which the LORD hates, yes, seven which are an abomination to Him: Haughty eyes, a lying tongue,hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that run rapidly to evil, a false witness who utters lies, and one who spreads strife among brothers. Proverbs 6:16-19.
Do not speak gossip, strife, and lies, do not make others eat the poison you have swallowed at the wrong table, it will destroy you and them.
But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him to have a heavy millstone hung around his neck, and to be drowned in the depth of the sea. Matthew 18:6.
So now let us see about feeding and speaking, for the spirit of faith is to believe in your heart and speak with your mouth. In that way you call in the result that you need at every moment. For it is My Word that I send to you to heal and deliver you. You need to be watching in love for it and when you get it, you need to put it in your mouth so I can bring it to pass.
And Jesus answered saying to them, “Have faith in God. Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be granted him. Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you. Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you your transgressions. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven forgive your transgressions.” Mark 11:22-26.
In this passage lies the answer to how to have a victorious life of days of Heaven on earth. It is how to respond to the devil’s diabolical game of chess.
- “Have faith in God.” You have to feed on My Word to have faith in Me, for faith comes by hearing and hearing through My Word of the Messiah. And you have to hear it spoken, preached, and taught, and then you get it in your mouth by reading, speaking, and meditating until you digest it. Come to My throne with confidence, with the High Priest of your word of agreement with His, and you find mercy and find grace (the right Word to speak and meditate upon, הָגָה ) for help just when you need it. And I send you just the right Word to heal and deliver you when you need it so you can put it in your mouth to speak it out to your problem. And that is the next part of the passage.
- “Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be granted him.” You answer the mountain in the way of your promise by telling it the truth. You answer with the Scripture that directly and specifically addresses it and then rebuke it as you cast it out of your life in Jesus’ Name. This is what Jesus did with storms and fevers, blind eyes and withered limbs. You have to know My Will already to do this with faith. The leper that came to Jesus was not sure of Jesus’ will to heal. He had faith that Jesus could heal him for he had heard of the many miracles, even the cleansing lepers, that Jesus and His disciples were doing, but he was not sure it was My Will to heal him. He did know Me as the LORD who heals YOU. But Jesus was kind to him and helped out his faith. Jesus is the author and perfector of your faith. He shows you who I am, He reveals and discloses Me and that I am a healer and it is always My Will to heal, you just have to receive it with faith. And faith speaks.
- “Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you.” You speak to your problems, such as sickness, pain, lack, storms, mountains, and the like and cast them out, but then you turn to Me in confident prayer for restoration for the damage caused by that problem, for complete wholeness (a cleansed leper is free of the disease but if parts were eaten away the can be restored to better than before by prayer with thanksgiving), and for the good things and perfect gifts you desire. This can be also stated as, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7. And as “cast your cares upon the LORD because He cares for you.” And you do all this, and stay alert in prayer, with thanksgiving. You shout joyfully with thanksgiving at what is yours in My Word, you sing songs of praise, and you are in the flow of Heaven and all will come to pass. Get your attention on Me and the answer and off the problem and the confusion and you will have the manifestation of the promise.
- “Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you your transgressions. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven forgive your transgressions.” This is back to the spiritual law that as you judge so you shall be judged, for the standard you use must be used back on you for you are showing what you desire by how you treat yourself and others. If you have not forgiven yourself and others you are simply dishonoring Me by telling Me the blood of Jesus is not enough to take away your sins and those of others. But it is MUCH MORE than enough for every person that exists. But to have this, you must apply the Blood to yourself and others. And this honors Me, for My Son went to a cruel death for your sins and gave his eternal blood, for the life is in the blood, for the eternal life that you lost. Forgive as I have forgiven you, by the blood of Christ alone.
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace which He lavished on us. Ephesians 1:7-8.
Also, bitter roots of unforgiveness and resentment close the door of your heart to receiving the answers and blessings I wish to give you if you answer My voice when I knock. And why do I knock? To come in and dine with you and you with Me. Yes, the table I set before you in the sight of your enemies. Come eat and drink at My table and it will bring you right into the great banquet hall of the Kingdom while still on the earth.
Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. Revelation 3:20-21.
I love you. Feed to fight and fight to feed, for the devil will do every trick he knows to keep you from going to My table to get you over to his. It worked with Adam and Eve because they were not full of My Word. They were hanging out at the wrong tree. Do not stay seated at the wrong table and eat the bread of tears all your life. When you have the best WHY would you settle for less? Get up and move, get a new browser or at least clear out your cache.
