All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17.
“Listen, all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem and King Jehoshaphat: thus says the Lord to you, ‘Do not fear or be dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours but God’s. Tomorrow go down against them. Behold, they will come up by the ascent of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the valley in front of the wilderness of Jeruel. You need not fight in this battle; station yourselves, stand and see the salvation of the Lord on your behalf, O Judah and Jerusalem.’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out to face them, for the Lord is with you.” 2 Chronicles 20:15-17.
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Ephesians 6:10-13.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:
I am the One who is, who was and who is to come. YHWH (יהוה). I am there for you always. Always seek Me first when the enemy attacks. And he will for My Kingdom is not here yet. But I come down to deliver you. And I command the hosts. The angelic army is all around you. So do not fear or be dismayed. Ever.
All that I included in My Word to you, the Bible, is for your edification to equip you and strengthen you in all you face in life. So know that every event and conversation I include, though it actually happened, I have chosen to include because it is to give you what you need to learn from and apply in your own life now.
And today, I would like to outline for you what you do when the enemy attacks and you are afraid. I give you the steps to take in the twentieth chapter of the second book of Chronicles.
Three groups of enemies came to against Jehoshaphat to attack Judah. Jehoshaphat was serving Me and was reading My Word. But he did not become disappointed with and angry at Me because of the attack. He knew it was from the enemy but when he heard the report of the multitudes coming against him and Judah, he feared knowing he was outnumbered, and this was beyond his strength.
You may have had a bad report that has caused you to fear, or you may be facing a situation that you feel is beyond your strength, or the spirit of infirmity may be attacking you body or that of someone close to you. Do not fear or be dismayed, Ehyeh asher Ehyeh. I am with you, but there is a certain way you must respond or, on your own, you will not win the battle.
Here is how Jehoshaphat responded and it will work for you too.
- Turn your attention to seek Me, YHWH, knowing I am there for you.
- Call others who are in covenant with Me to join you in seeking help from Me.
- Assemble together in prayer (where two or three are gathered in My Name I am there in your midst, so it does not have to be a large crowd, two is enough).
- Pray together (where two agree and pray in My Name they obtain what they seek) in this manner:
Declare My supreme power and might and that nothing is impossible or too hard for Me.
Recall My promises and state them before Me.
Recall My protection, grace and mighty works.
State the problem and declare your inability to solve it on your own. Cast all your care on Me because I care for you
- Put your eyes on Me with trust that I will act on your behalf and show you what to do.
- Wait for an answer from Me and then go forward with it.
I steer the canoe and you paddle with the strength I give you. But you have to go forward with Me. Don’t get stuck in fear and surrender to the enemy. Fight the good fight of faith. Which begins in your mind and your mouth.
And when Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah had done the steps above, I gave them the answer. Do not fear or be dismayed because of the greatness of the attack, for the battle in not yours but Mine, Elohim. I gave them the promise as YHWH, but I battle as Elohim—the God that created the earth, the universe and everything. The Judge, the Vindicator, and the all-powerful whose Word is final. And you do not want to face Me under that title if you are coming against My children.
Then I told them to station themselves, stand, and see My salvation (Yeshuah) on their behalf. They would not have to fight. The battle is Mine. But I told them to go face the enemy, but I told them to face the enemy with Me, YHWH. 2 Chronicles 20:17. “Do not fear or be dismayed (shattered), tomorrow go out and face them with Me.”
Stand up in the full armor of God and look the enemy in the eye. Do not let that spirit of infirmity that is coming against you take you down. Do not let that depression attack you and take any ground. Do not permit the spirit of poverty to enter your house. Do not let the destroyer in to take your life, your children, or your spouse. Stand with Me, your YHWH. And take up your shield of faith and the sword of the Spirit. My Word in your mouth. Submit to Me, resist the devil, and he will flee from you. For I fight for you.
Follow what I tell you, stand tall and go forward. Do not fear or be dismayed but go out to face the problem for YHWH is with you. Face it fearlessly and tell it where to go. For I am in you by My Spirit. Greater is He that is in you, than he who is in the world.
Then do as Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah did. Thank Me and worship (sing joyfully songs of praise and thanksgiving) before you see the victory.
Put your trust in Me, YHWH, your Elohim, and you will be established. Put your trust in My prophets and you will succeed. 2 Chronicles 20:20.
Face the problem with joyful songs of thanksgiving and praise for the victory I win for you and the minute you begin singing and praising I will ambush the enemy and you will find the attack of the devil and his demons destroyed before you, whether it be sickness, lack, infirmity, old age, pain, abuse of another, or any other of his demonic tactics and schemes. If I have made a promise concerning your problem, then it is “yes” to you in Christ Jesus and you can have it no matter what the enemy sends your way.
I have promised to renew your youth like the eagles. Look the infirmities of old age in the face and laugh. Declare My Word of renewal and stand on it. Moses was full of vigor and his eye was not dim at the age of 120 years. Why not believe for the same? You have more going for you than he did. You are born again and have the Spirit of Life in you. You are My house and a temple of the Holy Spirit.
You are with Me always and all I have is yours. Make sure you know what you have and make sure you take it.
Say this: “The LORD will Will and do in me all the things my life should be. I have only to lift my hands and pray and be faithful in all that comes each day.” You are on assignment from Me. And I provide for those on assignment.
And when the dust settles you will still be standing strong in Me and the power of My might.
I love you. Submit to My Word, say only it, do what I tell you, resist the devil and he will flee from YOU. And always remember I am with you wherever you go and My grace is sufficient for you to make you more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus, your Salvation, for He is the manifestation of My Name, YHWH, in your life. For the meaning of YHWH is salvation at every moment.
