Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:
Lean not on your own knowledge and understanding, lean on Mine. I have given you in Christ (My anointed Word) ALL the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, why would you not pull out these great treasures and put them to use your life? I have put My Words in your mouth and covered you with the shadow of My hand, and I have put My Spirit in you and on you to share all that is Mine with you and to teach you all things. Learn to lean on My Words. They are LIFE to those who find them and HEALTH to all their flesh. They give light to your path and strength to your bones. Apply pressure on My Word and you will joyfully see My Word go to work for you. The battle is Mine, but the victory is yours. If you follow this, your life will become much less complicated and you will have great peace beyond all earthly understanding. Philippians 4:6-8.
“Teach (give knowledge, intimate insight) us to order (appoint, arrange, number) our days, that we may come into (gain) a heart filled with wisdom,” prayed Moses after the people had grumbled and spoken against My plan for their lives and refused to enter the promised land. Psalm 90:12. They had declared that they would rather die in the desert than enter the promised land, fearing defeat and death, and since they would not budge off that decision, that is what they got, though it was not My best plan for their lives, but it was their plan and they arranged their days that way, with no wisdom of heart. It cut their lives down to 70 or 80 years, which was not My Will. Do you see? They relied on their wisdom of how they viewed themselves and the circumstances, and even though it was not a correct picture of reality, they leaned on their own thoughts and went the way of death and defeat. And I could not stop them no matter how much I spoke of victory to them. They refused to lean on My Words and instead leaned on their own words, which were stout against Mine. And you see the result was not the best. It ended in premature death and no victory. But they got what they declared and believed.
But Moses prayed that it would not happen to you. So let Me help you appoint and arrange your plans each day so that you may operate in wisdom of heart. My servant Paul understood this and he wanted you to live in the BLESSED life also. And he prayed a prayer, actually three prayers, by inspiration of the Holy Spirit that you would do well to pray every day also. I put everything that I share with you in the Bible there for a reason, don’t let it go to waste in your life and the lives of those around you, instead, draw out the treasure.
Here are the prayers I would like you to pray and meditate on each day so that you may gain a heart filled with wisdom, understanding, and divine direction:
First, pray to Me as the Father of Glory, the Father of you and Jesus, as follows: Father, give me a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of You. I pray that the eyes of my heart may be enlightened, so that I know what is the hope of Your calling, what are the riches of the glory of Your inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of Your power into me in accordance with the working of the strength of Your might which You brought about in Christ, when You raised Him from the dead and seated Him at Your right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And You put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.” Ephesians 1:17-23.
The second prayer is also in Paul’s Letter to the Ephesians, this time Chapter 3, Paul prayed: “For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:14-21.
And the third prayer of which I am speaking is in Paul’s Letter to the Colossians, he prayed, “For this reason also, since the day we heard of it [their faith], we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience; joyously giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light. For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.” Colossians 1:9-14.
If you noticed, these prayers are all about you receiving revelation about who you are in Christ, the power that is working in you, and the greatness of your calling and inheritance. They are all about being filled with wisdom, knowledge and understanding. They are all about knowing My Will for your life and walking it out in the Light.
Call on Me and I answer you and tell you great and mighty things you could not know. Let Me share My thoughts with you by the Holy Spirit. Let Me give you an anointing for each day’s tasks and projects.
And why do you think so small and ask so little? I want to do extraordinary things with you. Begin not only to lean on Me for direction, correction and perfection, but also dream with Me of great works for the Kingdom. Dream of homes for the homeless and for prisoners who have no where to turn. Dream of beautiful gathering places where people meet to learn My Word and to be healed and make whole.
And be specific in what you pray for. Ask specific instructions, seek specific help. Be like Abraham’s servant. Do you recall what I am speaking of? When Abraham sent his servant to get a bride for Isaac form his kinsfolk, it was a long journey, but the servant was very particular in what he asked of Me. He made a list of what the girl was to say and do that I had designated for Isaac so that he would not waste time but would know for sure if he had found the one I had picked out. I will let him tell you what happened right from the book of Genesis just as he explained it to her brother, Laban, and her family. The servant said, “, “I am Abraham’s servant. The LORD has greatly blessed my master, so that he has become rich; and He has given him flocks and herds, and silver and gold, and servants and maids, and camels and donkeys. Now Sarah my master’s wife bore a son to my master in her old age, and he has given him all that he has. My master made me swear, saying, ‘You shall not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, in whose land I live; but you shall go to my father’s house and to my relatives, and take a wife for my son.’ I said to my master, ‘Suppose the woman does not follow me.’ He said to me, ‘The LORD, before whom I have walked, will send His angel with you to make your journey successful, and you will take a wife for my son from my relatives and from my father’s house; then you will be free from my oath, when you come to my relatives; and if they do not give her to you, you will be free from my oath.’ So I came today to the spring, and said, ‘O LORD, the God of my master Abraham, if now You will make my journey on which I go successful; behold, I am standing by the spring, and may it be that the maiden who comes out to draw, and to whom I say, “Please let me drink a little water from your jar”; and she will say to me, “You drink, and I will draw for your camels also”; let her be the woman whom the LORD has appointed for my master’s son.’ Before I had finished speaking in my heart, behold, Rebekah came out with her jar on her shoulder, and went down to the spring and drew, and I said to her, ‘Please let me drink.’ She quickly lowered her jar from her shoulder, and said, ‘Drink, and I will water your camels also’; so I drank, and she watered the camels also. Then I asked her, and said, ‘Whose daughter are you?’ And she said, ‘The daughter of Bethuel, Nahor’s son, whom Milcah bore to him’; and I put the ring on her nose, and the bracelets on her wrists. And I bowed low and worshiped the LORD, and blessed the LORD, the God of my master Abraham, who had guided me in the right way to take the daughter of my master’s kinsman for his son. So now if you are going to deal kindly and truly with my master, tell me; and if not, let me know, that I may turn to the right hand or the left.” Then Laban and Bethuel replied, “The matter comes from the LORD; so we cannot speak to you bad or good. Here is Rebekah before you, take her and go, and let her be the wife of your master’s son, as the LORD has spoken.” When Abraham’s servant heard their words, he bowed himself to the ground before the LORD. Genesis 24:34-52.
You see that he prayed a very specific prayer for important direction in finding a bride for Isaac. He said, “O LORD, the God of my master Abraham, please grant me success today, and show lovingkindness to my master Abraham. Behold, I am standing by the spring, and the daughters of the men of the city are coming out to draw water; now may it be that the girl to whom I say, ‘Please let down your jar so that I may drink,’ and who answers, ‘Drink, and I will water your camels also’—may she be the one whom You have appointed for Your servant Isaac; and by this I will know that You have shown lovingkindness to my master.” Genesis 24:12-14.
And I answer your prayers. Before he had finished speaking to Me in his heart, behold, Rebekah who was born to Bethuel the son of Milcah, the wife of Abraham’s brother Nahor, came out with her jar on her shoulder. The girl was very beautiful, a virgin, and she went down to the spring and filled her jar and came up. Then the servant ran to meet her, and said, “Please let me drink a little water from your jar.” (You will note he had faith and a corresponding action) She said, “Drink, my lord”; and she quickly lowered her jar to her hand, and gave him a drink. 19 Now when she had finished giving him a drink, she said, “I will draw also for your camels until they have finished drinking.” So she quickly emptied her jar into the trough, and ran back to the well to draw, and she drew for all his camels. Ask and you shall receive.
And remember the blind Bartimaeus? He was yelling “Have mercy on me!” as Jesus walked by. Jesus stopped, called him over, and asked him to be specific in what he wanted done, he immediately asked to receive his sight and Jesus gave him what he asked because he asked in faith.
I love you. Lean on Me, I will carry you in My bosom, like a Shepherd with the lambs of his flock. Let us do things together. It is so much more fun that way and a cheerful heart is a good medicine.
