But the one who joins himself to the Lord is one spirit with Him. 1 Corinthians 6:17.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:

It all starts with one song, but it does not stop there. It all starts with one step, but it does not end there. It all starts in your heart, but it reaches out to the whole world and beyond. What am I talking about? Your destiny in, with and through Me. But it all begins when you draw close to Me.

And when you draw close to Me, I draw close to you. So close, that when you join yourself with Me through My Son you become one spirit with Me. 1 Corinthians 6:17. I in Him, you in Him, He in Me, and you in Me and I in you. Oneness. You are never alone once you have received Jesus, who is My gift to you. You own Him. He who has the Son has eternal life.

Before you can start your journey down the road, you have to put the key in the ignition and turn it. What is the key to the power that is within you? The Holy Spirit on you. Jesus told His disciples they would receive POWER when the Holy Spirit came upon them. They had already received the Holy Spirit in them when Jesus breathed upon them when I raised Him from the dead and He came to them in the upper room, they were born again from above—the Spirit blows where He wills—but Jesus told them to wait to go out to the world, that is, to start their journey down the path prepared for them, until they had received power when the Holy Spirit came upon them. Acts 1:8. Power from on High. He called it the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Acts 1:5. Remember John as he baptized those who came to him in the Jordan River told them that he baptized them in water, but One was coming after him who was before him and He would baptize them in the Holy Spirit and fire! And Jesus did the just that the minute He ascended and was back at My right hand, He received My promised Holy Spirit and poured Him out on you. Acts 2:33. On you to release the power of Him in you.

Paul came upon a group of believers in Ephesus and he asked them what he considered the key question, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” Ephesians 19:2. They replied that they had never even heard of the Holy Spirit. And many of you act like that today, though you may have heard of Him, but you have never really made use of the counselor, helper, advocate, teacher, leader, and miracle worker who is within you. Jesus told His amazed disciples it was to their advantage that He returned to Me; for if He did not go away, the Helper would not come to them; but if He went, He would send Him to them. John 16:7.

And when Paul heard the believers in Ephesus had not received the Holy Spirit, he had laid his hands upon them, and the Holy Spirit came on them, and they began speaking with tongues and prophesying. Ephesians 19:6. When they believed they received the Holy Spirit in their spirit but when Paul laid hands on them the Holy Spirit came on them. And His presence manifested. They spoke in tongues and prophesied. And that was always the way in the Book of Acts you will see that the people have received the Holy Spirit and He is on them, they speak in tongues. It all began at Pentecost when My Spirit descended from on High as Jesus poured Him out from My Throne of grace. And what did Peter tell the astonished crowd? The disciples were not drunk, they were filled with the Holy Spirit, just as Joel had prophesied would happen. And he so valued that amazing gift that he told the crowd present, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself.” Acts 2:37-38.

When Phillip preached in Samaria miracles of healing and deliverance were taking place as the people heard and believed in the good news of the Kingdom and the Name of Jesus. But when the believers in Jerusalem heard about it, they wanted to be sure that the Samaritans also received the gift of the Holy Spirit, for He had not yet fallen upon any of them; they had simply been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. So they sent Peter and John out to Samaria and they began laying their hands on the believers there, and they were received the Holy Spirit. The Spirit came on them and the power came to release the Spirit in them. And it made such a difference that Simon the magician offered money to purchase the power to lay hands on people and get the Holy Spirit on them, but the disciples scoffed at that. Acts 18:16-20. As I said in Song of Songs, “Many waters cannot quench love, nor will rivers overflow it; if a man were to give all the riches of his house for love, it would be utterly despised.” Song of Songs 8:7. It is My very flame. Song of Songs 8:6.

The Holy Spirit baptizes you into Jesus and regenerates you as a new creation in Him. Jesus baptizes you in the Holy Spirit and you receive power from on High. And when the Holy Spirit was poured down on Pentecost Sunday there was wind and flames of fire. And that fire of My love came upon all who believed. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. My love is better than wine. People remarked that the disciples had drunk too much “new wine.” In a way, they had. New wine in new wineskins. A new creation. But you can never have too much. I give the Spirit to those who speak My Words without measure. If you are thirsty come and drink the water of life without cost to you. My Son already paid for it for you by His Blood. You now own it. If you but knew My gift you would ask My Son, who baptizes you in the Holy Spirit, to give you a drink! That is what He told the Samaritan woman at the well, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.” John 4:10. Have you ever asked Jesus to give you that life giving water? Whoever drinks of that water shall never thirst; for the water that I give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life. John 4:14. And remember at the feast of tabernacles, Jesus stood in the temple and cried out, saying, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’” But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. John 7:37-39.

The Holy Spirit is your lifeline right into the Kingdom. You all access Me by the One Spirit and you receive that gift by taking My Son as your Lord and receiving Him. You then have the Holy Spirit in you. Next you receive the Holy Spirit on you by being baptized in the Holy Spirit. I give My Spirit to all who ask Me for Him. Luke 11:13. And you get filled with the Holy Spirit in you and on you as you sing songs of praise, address one another in Words of Scripture and make melody in your heart to Me.

And the Holy Spirit does wonderful things for you, things for your advantage, as Jesus told you. He leads you. He teaches you all things. He guides you to all truth. He tells you of the things to come. He shares My thoughts with you. He testifies to Jesus. He gives you words and a wisdom that no one can take exception to or contradict. He gives life to your mortal bodies. He regenerates you. He is the way I pour My love into your hearts. And He gives you skill and ability. He is the way I communicate with you. Spirit to spirit.

Do you see why the early church community was so concerned that all receive the Holy Spirit? It was the difference between a group united and triumphant or a group divided and defeated. It was the difference between a wise and mature people who each knew how to hear from Me and get the answers and help they needed and a foolish and childish people who depended upon and grasped at others to hear Me and get the answers and help they needed. I want you each to know Me and the One whom I sent, Jesus Christ, for that is eternal life. I want you each to be a power house of healing, prosperity, and goodness—a generous giver of divine benefits, BLESSED to be a BLESSING.

I love you. Receive the Holy Spirit in you and on you. There is a difference, you know. But I have given you both, the whole package. Shalom.
