For the mouth speaks out of that which fills the heart. The good man brings out of his good treasure what is good; and the evil man brings out of his evil treasure what is evil. But I tell you that every careless word that people [ah]speak, they shall give an accounting for it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned. Matthew 12:34-37.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:

Everyone has a reason for where they are. Things don’t just happen. It is by your words that you ended up as you are today. You may not think so, but it is true. By your words you are acquitted and by your worlds you are condemned. Stop and take stock of what you have been saying.

Look back over your day today and try to remember the things you have said. Were they judgmental words? Angry words? Offensive words? Mean words? Idle words? Obscene words? Selfish words? Scandalous words? Gossiping words? Proud words? Or were they encouraging words? Helpful information? Revelation from the Word? Did they give manifestation of My goodness in a concrete way into the lives you spoke your words into? Did they edify your hearer? Did they give Me glory? Or did your words have no power? No authority? Did you pray for or with anyone? Did you lead anyone to Christ? Jesus always spoke in ways to save, heal, exhort, and bless.

People noticed a difference when Jesus spoke. He spoke with authority and not like their scribes. And later people realized that Peter and John had been with Jesus wen they spoke. They had wisdom and understanding that no one could take exception to or contradict.

But to speak wisdom and understanding, you must first learn to listen to Me before you react and act and not just after when you are coming to get what you did wrong right.

Let Me tell you a story about words. It is about Elisha and the Shunammite woman. The Shunammite woman was not one of My covenant people, but she sowed into a prophet’s life and I gave her a prophet’s reward. She built a place for Elisha to stay when he traveled by her way on the roof garden of her home. Elisha in gratitude to her for all her loving care, told her she would have the desire of her heart—a baby would be born to her at that time next year. And that baby manifested at just the right time. But several years later, the boy was out in the heat of the day in the fields with his father and he became ill. The father sent him back to the mother, but on the mother’s lap he died. She did not say a word of fear, complaint, anger, despair or bitterness. She quietly put the young boy on the bed of Elisha and got ready to go to the prophet. Her husband asked her why she was going to see Elisha. All she said was one word, “Shalom.” Meaning that all was well in every area of their lives. She then took off with one purpose, the healing of her son, but more than healing, resurrection from the dead. And she refused to doubt. When Elisha saw her coming in the distance, Elisha sent Gehazi, his servant, out to meet her. When he asked her how things were, she replied again, “Shalom.” All is well. But she pushed on to Elisha. When she got to Elisha, she did not say many words, but he could read her troubled heart. But she refused to speak that trouble. Do not LET your hearts be troubled, do not let it be afraid. Elisha tried to send his servant to lay his staff on the boy but the Shunammite woman refused to go without Elisha going with her for her son had come from a promise of Elisha and she was not going to let him off the hook. So Elisha went with her and found the boy dead on his bed when Elisha came into the house. So he entered and shut the door behind them both and prayed to the Lord. And he went up and lay on the child, and put his mouth on his mouth and his eyes on his eyes and his hands on his hands, and he stretched himself on him; and the flesh of the child became warm. Then he returned and walked in the house once back and forth, and went up and stretched himself on him; and the lad sneezed seven times and the lad opened his eyes. He called Gehazi and said, “Call this Shunammite.” So he called her. And when she came in to him, he said, “Take up your son.” Then she went in and fell at his feet and bowed herself to the ground, and she took up her son and went out.

She refused anything but victory. And you should refuse anything but victory. Why? Because I gave it to you already in Christ Jesus. Say what you have. Speak the truth. The truth is My Word and it is by My Word you are sanctified. Look up at Me and smile, your face will never be ashamed.

I cleansed and purified you in the Blood of My Son and I have given you My Holy Spirit and poured My love in your heart. And with My Holy Spirit in you, I put My power in you. I put the Lion of the Tribe of Judah in you. And you can speak out who you are unashamed. And what did I tell you to do, you who believe in the power of My Name? Cast out demons, lay your hands on the sick and they will recover, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers and preach the good news of the Kingdom from where you are to the ends of the earth! You have the power in you, I have given you My power as your own and it is on you and in you! Stop begging Me for what I gave you already and go put it to use.

Jesus summoned His twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every kind of disease and every kind of sickness. Matthew 10:1. He had not died for your sins yet and I had not raised Him from the dead, glorified Him, and poured out My Spirit on you yet. When I raised Him from the dead I gave Him all authority in Heaven and on earth and He gave every believer that authority and told YOU to go and use it. And what were those twelve to do as they went out? Jesus told them, “Preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.” Matthew 10:7-8. And do not say that was just for the twelve, later Jesus appointed seventy others, and sent them in pairs ahead of Him to every city and place where He Himself was going to come. And what were they to do? In every city they entered, they were to heal those in it who were sick, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’ Luke 10:9. Did it work? Yes. Returning with joy the seventy shared, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.” Luke 10:17. And what did Jesus reply? “Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven.” Luke 10:18-19.

You will note Jesus summoned and gave authority to do all these great works like He did to “disciples.” And what do I tell you? “If you continue in My Word YOU are truly My disciples and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32. Free? A slave has no authority and is not free, but you are no longer a slave but a son. You have authority, it is your inheritance in Jesus. I have given you the Kingdom. Why are you saying begging prayers to Me to heal the sick for you. I tell YOU to go lay your hands on the sick and cast out the demons. Take responsibility for what you have been entrusted with. Do not receive My grace in vain.

What do you think Jesus would have said to the twelve if they just went out and went to the movies, played video games, went grocery shopping, went to a job each day, and never shared the good news of the Kingdom and never laid their hands on the sick? What if when they learned someone was sick they just prayed that I would heal them if it was My Will? He would have called them, as He did, a perverse and evil generation.

Of course it is My Will to heal, Jesus died to give you forgiveness of your sins and heal all your diseases and pains. I am the LORD your healer. But on earth I work through people who will take hold of the power I have put in them and on them by the gift of My Holy Spirit. Why are you so lazy? Sloth is not acceptable. Why put off the good you can do today? You have the power in you if you believe in My Son and have confessed Him as LORD. Get out of park, stop asking Me to start the car, and put in the key and go! The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few. Don’t just sit there and ask Me to do everything for you. I cannot. I do not have authority on earth except you release it and authorize Me to move. As the Israelites all cried at Me to do something when the Egyptian army was on one side and the Red Sea on the other, I told Moses to raise his staff and release My power into the earth. Crying and grumbling will do nothing but get you to spend the night there. Decree the things and release the power in you.

Situations may look like you cannot change them. The devil makes things look terrible to intimidate you. But if you submit to My Word and release My power to resist him, he must flee. Exercise the authority I have entrusted to you. “Preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.” Matthew 10:7-8. And just before Jesus ascended back to Heaven, what did He tell all believers? “These attesting miracles will accompany those who have believed in My name, they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues; they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Mark 16:17-18. What are you waiting for. It is in you and on you, just release it by your words, for you will have to give an account for every idle word you speak. You could have set people free and instead you just walked by and told Me to do something. I did, it is finished, and I gave it to you. And you are the answer.

I love you. You are My ambassador on earth and if you don’t bind the enemy and release Heaven into the earth realm I cannot act on your behalf.
