Yet we do speak wisdom among those who are mature; a wisdom, however, not of this age nor of the rulers of this age, who are passing away; but we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God predestined before the ages to our glory. 1 Corinthians 2:6-7.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:
Have you ever really entered into My presence? If you have you will know what I am talking about. If you have not, you have not because you have asked not. But very few people are actually interested in getting that close to Me. They don’t think about communing with Me, but about commanding Me. That may sound strange, but if you come to prayer to tell Me what to do that is not communing but commanding. And I have talked to you about this. “Come now, and let us reason together, though your sins are as scarlet, they will be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they will be like wool.” Isaiah 1:18. Reason together. That is a conversation where you work out the strategy. “I, even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for My own sake, and I will not remember your sins. Report to Me in remembrance, let us argue our case together; state your cause, that you may be proved right.” Isaiah 43:25-26. Bring Me your trials and cares and let Me take it on as your advocate, let us argue our case together so that every tongue raised against you in accusation, you will prove false. State your cause so I can prove you right. I put things right, even when you caused the trouble by your own errors or omissions if you will just bring the case to Me.
There are many times you think you know what you want and how you want it to come about, but usually other people are involved and what you may be asking for may be opposite to what they are asking for, but I know the solution that will give you both a winning result and in the long run will bring salvation and blessing into your lives. There are also times when I must deliver you because the other person is just not letting Me lead them. This was the case with My dear Joseph, the son of Jacob. His brothers were jealous, which is not a spirit from Me, and meant to harm him. I was able to move Reuben’s and Judah’s hearts away from killing him and then I inspired the Ishmaelites to take the route that passed by the sons of Jacob so that they preserved his life and took payment for him to sell him into slave traffic. It may have seemed confusing at the time, but it was a deliverance. But Joseph walked with Me all his life, so I protected him and got him down to Egypt, where I had an amazing plan set in place for his promotion and the saving of many lives. He did not know it, but he had trust in My goodness, and he just kept walking with Me through the dark valley trusting Me to bring his dreams to pass, which I did.
There are many times you just don’t know how to pray what you ought that would be the solution that would bring about salvation for all. Like Joseph told his brothers when in fear they begged him to pardon what they had done to him, “Do not be afraid, for am I in God’s place? As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive. So therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones.” So he comforted them and spoke kindly to them. Genesis 50:19-21. Joseph and Paul understood, “In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:26-28.
I have given you a way to pray that taps perfectly into My Will and gives you My insight into your problem, which is the perfect solution, for I look ahead and provide. It is letting My Spirit pray in your spirit until our communication is complete and surfaces in a language you can understand in your mind. That is praying in tongues. For one who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to Me; for no one understands, but in his spirit, he speaks mysteries. 1 Corinthians 14:2. He speaks, however, wisdom among those who are mature; a wisdom not of this age nor of the rulers of this age, who are passing away; but he speaks My wisdom in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which I preordained before the ages to your glory. For if you pray in a tongue, your spirit prays, but your mind is unfruitful. What is the outcome then? Pray with the spirit and pray with the mind also; sing with the spirit and sing with the mind also. Ask Me for interpretation as you pray in your tongues. I will give you it. I want you to know My Will. I want you to actively participate with Me in managing your affairs.
Praying in the spirit (tongues) is a rest because your intellect is not involved. It is a way of drawing living water out of deep wells so that the thirsty can drink. It is a connection where deep calls unto deep in words beyond what the mind can decipher but the spirit knows.
Do not despise small beginnings. They lead to greater ends. Tongues may seem foolish and insignificant but they tap into the eternal and bring Heaven into your own spirit.
There is a time though in prayer where you just need to be quiet and actively listen to Me when I want to communicate a revelation to you. Then it is time to get out your tablet and write down the revelation. This is what Moses did in the deep cloud of My presence on Mt. Sinai. He received the governing laws for the Israelite people and he received the detailed plans for the design and construction of My dwelling place, the tabernacle in the wilderness. And once the Holy of Holies was constructed it was there, between the golden cherubim over the propitiatory that I gave him the instructions for governing My people. Yes, there is a time just to sit with Me and listen carefully to get the details to the plan, like Mary, Martha’s sister, as she sat at the feet of Jesus and listened to His Words. It was a time of revelation and impartation. And these are some of the most glorious times for you and Me because in that time we become partners in bringing Kingdom living to the earth. Jesus would often pray all night because of the importance of each day of His time on earth. There was a mission to accomplish and His face was set like flint to get every detail of it accomplished. He was careful to always get My input before He acted or spoke because He knew the power in Words. Do you even consider partnering with Me in this way? If your prayers are only commands to Me of what you want Me to do, though you may put them in terms of begging, you will miss the very answers you are looking for and become frustrated and disappointed in Me when things are not exactly as she supposed they should be. I will bring My promises to pass in your life if you will only stand on My Word and refuse to draw back but be open to how I am working all things together, even those I did not will to be that way but happened through the wrongful use of human authority on the earth, for the good of you who love Me and are called according to the purpose of Kingdom advancement. And by Kingdom advancement I mean the avenue of authority you make for Me to intervene in the affairs of men upon the earth to turn things around for good and impart the BLESSING into the situation to turn waste places into the Garden of Eden.
Prayer is a time to dream great and mighty things with Me, to write down revelation, impartation and instruction, to ponder your path, and to drink deeply from the river of delight. And it costs you nothing but some of your time.
And I would like to point out one other thing here about prayer, prayer is communing, not complaining. It is a time for victorious strategies, not a pity party. It is time to fight the good fight of faith, not for speaking of bitter defeat. It is a time to win salvation and grace for people, not to condemn them before Me. It is a time to join in My battle cry of victory. It is the time to trust Me to bring you into a wide and open space of freedom. Selah.
Do not hold Me so far away. Draw close to Me and I will draw close to you. And the closer you get the more filled with the Spirit and the Kingdom you become, until one day, like Enoch, you find yourself home with Me, face to face, forever. You cross the threshold of Light and go from faith to sight.
I love you. Do not run away from Me but call while I am near. And as you call just know My ears will hear. Expect Me to answer when you call and to tell you great and mighty things you could not know. Draw close to Me and I will take you up higher. And I will lift you high, on heights you cannot even imagine.
