For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under the Law but under grace. Romans 6:14.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:
To walk with Me, you are going to have to know how to be free from sin. And the good news is that you can be. I have given you the victory in Christ Jesus over sin and death. But you have to know how to receive it and walk in it. You have to be set free from the encumbrance of sin or you can never run your race to the finish line. For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under the Law but under grace. Romans 6:14. Grace is My life in you and I am sinless. I know no sin. And you can be full of Me. And when you are full, nothing else can enter.
I hate evil and cannot look upon it. That is why I looked away from Jesus on the cross and He asked why I had forsaken Him. I will never forsake you for He took that from you. In Him, I freed you from the law of sin and death. How? Since I imputed all your sins to His flesh, there is now no condemnation for you who are in Christ Jesus for the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ has set you free from the law of sin and death. Romans 8:1.
How are you free from sin? How are you free from anything? When it has no more power over you. When you take your captor captive. When you break the yoke. When you conquer your enemy. When you are acquitted and the prison doors open. When you are no longer the slave bu the master. When you no longer are being driven but you drive.
I have given you the victory over sin in Christ. Receive it like you receive Him. Believe in your heart and declare it with your mouth. I have given you the fruit of self-control when you are filled with My Spirit. Receive it and declare you have it. But there is much more.
Sin is not a master over you because you are under grace. Grace is the gift of My life in you making you a partaker of My divine nature. And I am love. Love does not sin against the neighbor. Love speaks the truth, but in a way to edify and not condemn, to save and not to destroy. Love does not speak in malice and anger. Sin is oppression. Anger is oppression.
You don’t get angry if you know you are right. When you are secure in who you are and what you have you will not sin. You cannot pour new wine into old wineskins. I have made you a new creation in Christ, walk in newness of life. Established in righteousness, oppression will be far from you. When you know who you are in Christ, a new creation, righteous with My righteousness, you can be free from self. When you know and believe in the tremendous love I have for you that is beyond all you can ask or imagine, when you begin to have that love pour into you through the Holy Spirit who is My gift to you something wonderful happens.
The more you are filled with Me, the less you will sin. And you get filled with Me by being filled with the Holy Spirit. And that is being filled with joy. And when you have joy, you will not sin, for My joy is your strength. Learn to cast all your cares on Me and let Me take care of it. From anger and offense to addictions and lust. Let Me handle your affairs as you look after Mine.
If you receive the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness you will reign in life through Christ Jesus. If you allow Me to pour My love in your heart through My gift of the Holy Spirit in you and on you, then you will be filled with LOVE. And if you are filled with love you are filled with Me and you will never sin. Why? Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. Love always causes you to triumph. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8. Filled with the Holy Spirit, like a branch on the vine, you will produce the fruit of the Spirit within your spirit and oh! What power you will have! The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Galatians 5:22-24.
Sin is an encumbrance. Consider yourself dead to it and alive to Me in Christ Jesus. For that is the truth. When He died to sin so did you. Remember that I give life to the dead and call into being that which does not exist, that is, I call the things which do not exist as existing. Begin to call yourself sin proof. Call yourself righteous, for that is the truth in Christ. And established in righteousness you are far from oppression. Call yourself free from sin. Call yourself its master. You can be its master for I have given you the victory and the authority in Christ. Call on Me and I will be there as your Helper and deliverer and refuge.
But let Me share with you the problem and the answer. I told Adam not to EAT the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and bad or he would die the death. A double death. The second death. Don’t eat it. And what did the devil do? Tempted them to eat it. Bait. The devil will put the bait before you. Someone will offend you, hurt your feelings, criticize, judge, put you down, speak in a way that makes you angry emotionally or something will entice you with lust or emotions. Now you have a choice, you are like a vigilant fish or bird that realizes that the bait is on a hook or in a cage, and if you take it you are trapped. So, you do not swallow it or go into the cage to get it. If you swallow the bait and respond in kind you are hooked to do the devil’s will. If you go into the cage for the bait the door snaps shut and you are trapped in your addiction. Then I have to rescue you. But that will slow up your progress and detour your destiny. Don’t swallow the bait, be like the fish that got away. Don’t seek the bait in the cage, be like the bird that escapes the fowler’s snare. Be alert. Be vigilant. The devil is roaming around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour, to take someone captive to do his will in the earth.
How do you avoid eating the bait? Everyday the bait will be out there and if you don’t see the hook that holds the bait until it is too late you will be hooked into an angry explosion and your relationship with your spouse, sibling, co-worker, boss, child, or whoever is shot for the day. Then you have to repent and try to repair the damage. It will wear you out and encumber your walk. And the same with other bait, whatever the devil knows can hook you and distract you from your path. So how do you outsmart him? How do you become bait proof? How do you deflect all the fiery darts of the evil one, even all the thoughts of fear, depression, unworthiness, poverty, guilt and shame?
If you are full, if you are satisfied, if you are so full you just cannot hold another bite, no bait can tempt you because you are just too full to eat another bite. Open wide your mouth and I shall fill it with good things so your youth is renewed like the eagle. You will sprout eagle’s wings and mount the heights with Me. There is nothing I cannot do and I have freed you from sin by the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus. I rescued you from the power of darkness and translated you to the Kingdom of My beloved Son and whom the Son sets free is free indeed. In My hand the evil one cannot touch you.
You have the answer to sin. Be filled with My Holy Spirit. To get full you have to eat and when you drink and eat you get really so full you begin to think you will burst and overflow. Man does not live on bread alone but every Word that comes from My mouth. Meditate, speak, ponder, hear and fill your heart with My Word. And eat My Son’s Body and drink His blood and you will never hunger or thirst again. Never underestimate the power of the communion meal, the Bread of Life and the cup of Salvation. My Son died to give you His Body and Blood. Do not eat to die as Adam did, eat to live the Bread of Life which He gave you. Refocus your life. Focus on My love for you and you will be full. I have spoken My Words to you that you may be filled with My Joy and your joy may be full, complete, overflowing. They could not help but be filled with joy and the Holy Spirit and they prayed to Me to forgive their persecutors. Stephen was filled with faith and the Holy Spirit and there was no anger, sin or malice in him. He looked up and saw Jesus standing up for him and Stephen’s word was to depart this life and be received into Heaven but he prayed to forgive those who were stoning his flesh. I answered both. I took Stephen up with Me and I turned Saul who stood there affirming Stephen’s stoning to death into Paul, the greatest apostle of My grace and of My Kingdom the world has known. All by one man’s prayer. And it all came from Stephen being filled with the Holy Spirit.
When you are filled with joy there is no room for sin in you. And joy comes from being loved. Full. I set a table before you in the sight of your foes, I anoint your head with oil, your cup overflows, only goodness and kindness pursue you all the days of your life, and you shall dwell in My house of abundance now and forever. Psalm 23.
Daniel was full of Me and when the evil king Belshazzar offered to clothe him with purple and necklace of gold around his neck, and give Daniel authority as a high ranking official, that is, the third in the kingdom. Daniel refused the gifts. He told the king to give them to someone else or keep them himself. Daniel 5:17. The enemy’s bait had no attraction to Daniel. The same with Abraham, when the evil king of Sodom offered him the spoils of the war Abraham had won that gave the king back all he lost, Abraham did not take the bait, he simply refused it and told the king to keep it and he would not take so much as the king’s shoelace or anything of his. Genesis 14:22-24. And look at Jesus, the devil came to entice Him to swallow the bait but Jesus was full of My Word and He did not swallow the bait. He told Satan to be gone with his bait. And so should you.
I love you. I am there to fill you with every good thing and with My love and with My righteousness and with My life. Receive the gifts I give and declare them to be for they are. And be wise, never get hooked by the devil’s bait again.
Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death. Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. In the exercise of His will He brought us forth by the word of truth, so that we would be a kind of first fruits among His creatures. This you know, my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger; for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God. Therefore, putting aside all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility receive the word implanted, which is able to save your souls. But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror; for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was. But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in what he does. If anyone thinks himself to be religious, and yet does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this man’s religion is worthless. James 1:13-26.
