But the seed in the good soil, these are the ones who have heard the word in an honest and good heart, and hold it fast, and bear fruit with perseverance. Luke 8:15.
Therefore, we ourselves speak proudly of you among the churches of God for your perseverance and faith in the midst of all your persecutions and afflictions which you endure. 2 Thessalonians 1:4.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:
Perseverance. It is a virtue. It is faith and patience combined as one. Faith + Patience = Perseverance to the saving of your soul.
By faith and patience you obtain My promises. Perseverance means you are in it for the long haul and nothing is going to turn you back. And that is what the parable My Son told about the sower and the seed is all about, fighting the good fight of faith. Satan tries to wear you down so that the Word will not be fulfilled in your life. He is out to take your seed (My Word) by doubt, and if that does not work, then by trials, persecutions, disappointments, cares, worries, lusts, impatience, immediate gratification, or by just plain force, using storms of all kinds (physical and emotional), violence, abuse and disaster. But if you stand your ground and guard your seed, beating off the birds, getting rid of the weeds and insects, you will have your harvest through perseverance. It never fails. But only the one who continues to the end has the prize.
Do not cast away, then, your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward, for of patience you have need, that having done My will, you may receive the promise, for yet in very very little while, He who is coming will come, and will not tarry; and the righteous by faith shall live, and if he may draw back, My soul hath no pleasure in him, and YOU are not of those drawing back to destruction, but of those believing to a preserving of soul. Hebrews 10:35-39. Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win, for no one has your race but you, so you will win if you just persevere. 2 Corinthians 9:24.
Perseverance has to do with maturity. Immature people blame Me for everything and give up on My Word very quickly. But as Peter once reasoned when Jesus asked him if he wanted to turn away and give up too, “Lord, where shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.” There really is no where else to go that will get you the result you want to have in your life. So if you give up on My Word because you do not see the promise immediately, you will never see the promise manifest in your life at all. The devil tried this tactic with Jesus, the devil offered Jesus a shortcut to immediate gratification.
The devil offered Jesus the glory of the kingdoms of this world if He would bow down and worship the devil rather than Me. Jesus came to save the world but it was going to take perseverance for the long haul to go through the cross and grave to resurrection and glory. But the devil offered to give Jesus immediate worldly fame and fortune to shortcut the pain and yet have what appeared to be His destiny. But Jesus knew that there would be no lasting glory in what the devil offered and it would not save anyone, so He refused the immediate for the eternal.
Abraham almost lost his destiny by trying to fulfill My promise in his way rather than Mine. It produced Ishmael, but Ishmael was not the child of My promise. Sarah was to have the son of promise, but at first, Abram and Sarai did not have the faith combined with the patience to persevere to the promise so they turned aside for immediate gratification. But what seems to be right to a man often ends in the death of his destiny if he is going contrary to My Word. And even if he gets back on track, sometimes the unwise decision will have grave consequences that last for generations. Be careful how you live, live by faith and stick on My promises and direction. My Word is the Way, the Truth and the Life.
Many start out well in good works and faith for My promises in their lives but they grow weary of well doing because they are working out of their own strength and not Mine. They lose hope and give up too soon. But, beloved, I am convinced of better things concerning you, and things that accompany salvation. I am not unjust so as to forget your work and the love which you have shown toward those who believe in My name, in having ministered and in still ministering to others. Do not lose heart in doing good, for in due time you will reap if you do not grow weary. While you have the opportunity in your short window of time, make the most of each moment and do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith. Galatians 6:9-10. My desire is that each one of you show the same diligence so as to realize the full assurance of hope until the end, so that you will not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. Hebrews 6:11-12.
Having been justified by faith, you have peace with Me through your Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also you have obtained your introduction by faith into this grace in which you stand; and you exult in hope of My glory manifesting in your life. And not only this, but you also exult in your tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because My love has been poured out within your hearts through the Holy Spirit who I have given to you. Romans 5:1-5.
How then do you persevere? Hope is the anchor of perseverance. In hope you were saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees? But if you hope for what you do not see, with perseverance you wait eagerly for it. In the same way the Spirit also helps your weakness; for you do not know how to pray as you should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for you with groanings too deep for words. Romans 8:24-26. And I understand your spirit and My Spirit as they witness together before Me and I give you the strength to persevere in hope for I show you great and mighty things you could not know that will give you hope.
When I made the promise to Abraham, since I could swear by no one greater, I swore by Myself, saying, “I will surely bless you and I will surely multiply you.” I have promised you that also as Abraham’s descendants by faith in Jesus. And so, having patiently waited, Abraham obtained the promise. Men swear by one greater than themselves, and with them an oath given as confirmation is an end of every dispute. I, desiring even more to show to the heirs of the promise the unchangeableness of My purpose to BLESS and increase you, interposed with an oath, so that by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for Me to lie, you who have taken refuge in Me would have strong encouragement to take hold of the hope set before you. In this hope that you find in My promises you have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and one which enters within the veil, to the very Holy of Holies, where Jesus has entered as a forerunner for you as your representative in an everlasting Covenant, having become a high priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek. Hebrews 6:13-20.
It is My Word, My promises of good for you, that bring you true hope. For faith is the substance (title deed) of things hoped for and the evidence of things not yet seen in the natural. But you can see by faith into the supernatural realm and give substance to the hope of what you see by faith. You own all the promises for they are “yes” to you in Christ Jesus and I have given you Jesus. He is My gift to you. And what you own, you can have for your use and enjoyment with no strings attached. If someone took your possessions, you would fight to get them back. And you will win for legally they are yours. Remember what I call the devil? A thief and a murderer, and the father of lies. Do not let him get his hands on your possessions, fight the good fight of faith and you will always win. But you must stand and not cower down to him in the dust, for that is his element and he has you in captivity, though it is illegal activity, if you stay down there. Perseverance is persistence in My Word and resistance to all that is contrary to it. NEVER give up and NEVER give in. Perseverance has great reward.
I love you. Do not give up, the Glory is closer than you think, manifestation is on the brink, time and eternity will soon meet! The fulfillment is at hand in your life for My wonderful plan. Do not give up. Let down your anchor of hope. All these things you have dreamed are closer than they seemed. The glory is weaving a story untold, so step forward in love and be very bold. Perseverance is the key to a hope fulfilled, and don’t worry, to My account it will be billed. There is provision for your vision. Sing about that, for I have surrounded you with songs of deliverance!
