Moreover David was greatly distressed because the people spoke of stoning him, for all the people were embittered, each one because of his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God.1 Samuel 30:6.
Then he said to them, “Go, eat of the fat, drink of the sweet, and send portions to him who has nothing prepared; for this day is holy to our LORD. Do not be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10.
Know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and to do good in one’s lifetime. Ecclesiastes 3:12.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:
This day is for you to delight in Me and for Me to delight in you. Spend your day in My presence. Do not spend it any other way. Abide in Me and dwell in My secret place. It is there you will find hidden treasure.
I am your forever Father.
In the book of Proverbs I tell you the secret to abiding in Me. My Son was always with Me as we are One and we delight in one another. He in Me and I in Him. In Him I am well pleased and in Me is His delight. To do My Will is His delight. And He and I rejoice in the Holy Spirit. Our Kingdom is one of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. And He prayed that you too be One in us. In Chapter 8 of Proverbs My Son, whose goings forth are from eternity, tells you about how we worked together in creation of your world, for My Son was with Me at the creation of your world (He is with Me always as we are One God with the Holy Spirit) for I made all things through Him and for Him and without Him nothing came to be, John 1:1-3; Colossians 1:16, and here is what He tells you about our oneness in the creation of your world: “I was with Him as a confidant, a source of delight every day, rejoicing before Him at all times, rejoicing in His inhabited world, finding delight with mankind.” Proverbs 8:30-31. With Me rejoicing and finding delight in you. And I delighted in Him and He in Me and We delighted in you. We made you in our image and breathed our life into you. Life for the light of men.
And the Holy Spirit hovered over all and brought our Words into life.
And We rejoiced as One.
And My Son leads you with joy. He redeems you and leads you out of slavery to sin and death in gladness and joyous song. Psalm 105:43. He is your great good Shepherd whom I raised from the dead and He still leads you in gladness and joyous song.
And that is the best way to abide and hear My voice. In joy. There is cause for rejoicing here. You have a redeemer.
Learn from David. When he was having one of the worst days of his life—he was still an outcast from his beloved Israel with Saul seeking his life, he was surrounded by a band of distressed debtors and outlaws but he had finally found a home for all of them among the Philistines, but now, due to his lack precaution, a marauding band of Amalekites had burned down his city and taken all his and his men’s wives, children and property as spoils, and gone where no one of them knew. The circumstances looked like a total disaster, he had lost everything he owned and his family and all his band of followers had lost the same. And to make matters worse, his followers blamed him and decided to stone him to death in their grief. There are many people who would have been bitter towards Me, though I never will evil and the conduct of the Amalekites was not My Will. David had been foolish, however, in leaving his town totally unguarded but I can work out things well for you and restore to you all you lost and more if you look to Me with joyful trust for the answer. David knew Me and suddenly he remembered the power of joyful praise. It makes you strong in Me and brings Me down to fight your battles and restore your losses. David refused to give in to fear and bitterness or blame and instead began to remember all My benefits (Psalm 103) and rejoice that I was all those things to him. That I was the one who forgave him, healed him, pulled him out of the pit and filled his days with good things. And he began to laugh and dance as he remembered the way I had given him victory over Goliath, though it looked impossible, and kept him unharmed by Saul and all the armies of Israel for thirteen years though Saul and his forces far outnumbered David and his men. So David strengthened himself in Me (your rejoicing in Me is the source of your strength), and then he could hear from Me what to do. And I told him to go after the Amalekites and that he would recover all. And that is just what happened. I led him to them. And when I restore it is better in quantity or quality or both. And he and his men not only got back all they lost but also received all the riches the marauding band had taken from other towns who had not consulted Me about getting their things back. And I not only restored his property and more, I also gave him the kingdom that day as Saul was cut down in the battle with the Philistines that David had not joined. So in place of the burned down city of Ziklag, David received a palace in Hebron and all his men went with him and became his mighty men who helped him rule the kingdom of Israel and Judah.
I have a royal way, a highway, on which the redeemed walk. I call it the Highway of Holiness. And I have made Christ to be your holiness (sanctification) and your redemption (redeemer). 1 Corinthians 1:30. So if you are in Christ you qualify to be on this royal expressway, for He leads you in paths of righteousness for His Name’s sake. And here is what I tell you about that secret way where you should be walking out the life of good deeds I prepared for you in advance: “And a maslul (highway) shall be there, and a derech (way, road, pathway), and it shall be called The Derech HaKodesh (The Holy Way); the tameh (unclean, impure person) shall not pass along it, but it shall be for the Holech Derech (walker of the Way), even the foolish shall not go astray thereon. No aryeh (lion) shall be there, nor any peritz chayyot (ravenous, dangerous, ferocious beasts) shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the Ge’ulim (redeemed people) shall walk there; and the Peduyei Hashem (ransomed ones of YHWH (LORD)) shall return, and come to Tziyon (Zion, the mountain of grace) with songs and simchat olam (everlasting joy) upon their heads; sason (joy) and simchah (gladness) they shall reach and overtake, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.” Isaiah 35:8-10.
Isn’t it time you got on the Holy Way? Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. And I anointed Him with the oil of joy. And you who are in Him also have the anointing of joy. Receive it. Love it. And live it. Let us spend the day delighting in each other. I will surprise you!
I love you forever. And My love is never idle. Do not let yours be either. There is a reason that Solomon wrote: “know that there is nothing better for them [mankind] than to rejoice and to do good in one’s lifetime.” Ecclesiastes 3:12. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and give constant thanks, this is My Will for you in Christ Jesus, and if you do these things, your day will never be idle.
